I understand the philosophy he's presenting, but I never got what specifically he wanted to do to implement this. Mass censorship? Criminalize any contradictions of the state-established "truth", like Holocaust denial laws, but applied to everything?

>he
My bad.

>but I never got what specifically he wanted to do to implement this.

information control for the sake of information control, as shown in MGS4. Like how anytime someone brought up The Patriots, nanomachines would have it filtered to "La Le Lu Li Lo"

My take on it was that the AI's goal was to mass censor useless garbage info on the internet and curate it like an encyclopedia. By doing this, a lot of hate would be immediately weeded out, and perfect information in its purest form would only be left.

You'd hit a lot of issues that are now ingrained into modern day society such as the link between social media and heavy narcissism, rage culture, things such as memes (that are actually garbage) and so on.

This gave the Patriots an immense form of societal control to further their own goals, alongside making the human race "better" by eliminating a lot of the bullshit we spew online.

I could continue, but I hope you get my point.

Reminder that the concept of memes came up in the 70s as a biological concept and that Kojima is a fucking hack.

THE MEMES, JACK

>MGS4
Just don't.

The Internet was a mistake

Zero misinterpted The Boss' ideology to mean there needs to be a one world government so there's never any wars anymore and to achieve that one group needs total control of the planet so he had the AIs made to do so

based Richard Dawkins literally inventing memes

>open youtube
>realize the AI was right all along

In it's infancy the internet was based as fuck. It died around 2009 2010

Zero wanted to basically make hyper intelligent AI's who would look at every piece of data uploaded, evaluate on wether or not its good or garbage and then either let it go or delete it. Basically this i.e. not only fake news but also "news", opinions and clickbait shit from people who only produce garbage, like some random person talking about how vaccines inject trackers into your bloodstream and cause ultra autism, would be censored to prevent the garbage from being spread and diluting the pool of information.

......how does this prove anything? No one claims Kojima invented the term of memetics

You don't have to go far, just look here at Yea Forums, tumblr or twitter
If this isn't the "small, gated community where people are afraid of a larger forum and stay inside their little ponds leaking whatever 'truth' suits them into the growing cesspool of society at large, where the different cardinal truths neither clash nor mesh, where no one is invalidated and nobody is right" then i don't know what is.....

The woman that translated the script of MGS2 said he was a hack with awful writing. If any of you guys like MGS2 you should more be thanking that woman than Kojima because she apparently altered much of the shit he wrote into being more coherent. If you guys hate MGS2 then just think about how much worse it could have been had she did a direct translation instead.

it's canon, deal with it

Based.

>>"He wouldn't last a morning in a network TV writers' room..."
Considering TV was always 99% garbage i feel this is more of a compliment than anuthing.

By most mainstream and even niche or cult standards he still would be seen as a garbage writer. She also implied he's basically fan fiction tier as a writer which is definitely a huge dis on him.
