It's gotten old and ugly, I replaced it with superior PCSX2.

Give me some solid ps2/ps1 jrpgs bros.

All the Shin Megami Tensei games

Also replaying Ratchet and clank for the nostalgia

PS2s are cheap as fuck now. You have no excuse.

Gonna try Dokapon Kingdom tomorrow with a couple friends

I use it to play FF9

Yea you can probably get one for free or like $5 if you bother to look.

How do I go about getting a hdd with the ability to put games on it? Please help anons

>its a "let's all Roleplay PenisAssSex2 is anything close to accurate" episode

Never had a ps2 back then, had xbox and regret selling it. But I got a ps2 slim with freemcboot etc, would rather have a fat for the HDD support

Pretty sure there's a guide about it on /v
r/ or just google it tard
I just followed the steps from some website when I searched adding hdd to ps2

>Still have a huge backlog of PS2 games
>Have a bad habit of spending too much time on the Internet

yes, just ran a 12 hour rally on Nürburgring in GT3

Alundra

Yep
I still spend more time downloading isos but I do play

No, but on my 360 while I'm saving up for a decent pc. Already have 800 eurotoken saved.

>ps2 emulation
>based

I have a ryzen 5 i think works good for me

Any good places to get PS2 roms

good luck with living in the Orwellian nightmare that is the EU

/t/, there is a thread with a NTSC-U magnet link rom collection

You can emulate PS2 on a 100 dollar CPU, hell you don't even need dedicated graphics if you go with the 2200G from AMD.

/t/ had a thread dumb of a shit ton of Ps2 games

its pretty shit on alot of games ive tried, dolphin is leagues above

I actually just bought a PS2 and played some games from my childhood. Fags can shill there emulation meme as much as they want but playing PS2 games on PC just isn't the same. There was something about putting the disc in your console and having to deal with the controller wire and shitty resolution that made playing games on PS2 special in some way. Like your imagination and will to play contributed a lot to your enjoyment, the physical bits of it became part of why I loved gaming so much when I was young. Where as now everything is seamless and easy and... soulless.

is it worth hunting down a crt for good quality on ps2 games or should I just get an upscaler?

>shitty resolution

I will take that every time over horrible blurry stretched HUDs and 2d shit on emulated. For ps1 and ps2 real hardware trumps all

>ps2
>vr
woah, retard, slow down.

youtube.com/watch?v=pO5DmaXKZ0c

Planning on restoring it, but the thing is cant find specific parts like ps2 logo and all that.

sometimes I think about booting up my PS2, but then I just go and fap to Klonoa instead

get a CRT, most PS2 games are interlaced so they won't look great on an upscaler

>not emulate
fuck laser in this shit

I still haven't really moved on to the 7th or 8th gens, because most of the games I've played are on the PS2.

This is nonsense, it's the same thing. Games from my childhood feel the exact same with a DS4 plugged in on my desktop. It's even better since I don't need a console taking up desk space. Yikes from me nobody wants to buy vintage gaming you shill fuk.

Yes. It's still really great to this day.
