He's one of the easiest bosses once you realize the distance you should be from him and when to attack/dodge. The spear scares a lot of people because there too many souls fags that think the best way to beat hard bosses is to run like a retard and wait for a lunge/break in the boss's attack pattern to hit once or twice. All you need to do when he pulls out the spear is to stay at mid range and let him come to you, mikiri counter every single one of his thrusts and he will go down fast. As for phase 3, if you are confident you can reflect his lightning then do so, if not dodge by jumping to his side.

I found Demon of Hatred to be the hardest boss because it's a Souls boss in Sekiro with retarded hitbox and awful terrain.
