Motoko vs late-game JC would be more interesting I think, it would be metal vs a fusion of nano and biology.

Major rips him apart in melee even though his blades are able to harm her. Jensen tops out at punching through weak walls and knocking out surprised guards, Motoko is so far ahead physically it isn't a fight if they go toe to toe up close.

In terms of fire arms I want to say the Major wins out too. Jensen has no issues with recoil and software to stabilise his aim automatically while moving but Makoto has far more impressive feats and similar enhancements. Jensen has had more impressive guns but I'm assuming neither is loaded up with top end, one-off stuff and is just getting their basic loadout.

However his cloak is better and works with all his gear on top of being integrated into him, he has augs to move with absolute silence, his typhoon would shred her in one shot, and his visual suite is more advanced than what she has built in. He also has some nice bonuses like his shield if we're counting clone-Jensen's stuff and not just the real one.

If it starts at range then whoever spots the other first has the advantage, though Jensen has better odds at finding her thanks to his eyes, radar, and cloak. If it's a melee Jensen wins if he uses the typhoon immediately and gets butchered if he tries to take her down with his blades first. If both have their best gear Jensen is so heavily favoured it's absurd since he has a laser rifle that can shoot through walls/armour and the ability to see the Major through them even if she cloaks, though Major can in theory maul him in melee with zero fear of the typhoon because he's weak to EMP devices.

Jensen has better gadgets. Major has better dexterity and reflexes, and stealth counters gadgets like seeing through walls fairly well, but I'd say that reflexes counter stealth to some degree. If you can react quickly enough then you're never really surprised by anything.

I don't know, I feel like they wouldn't be able to kill each other, or they'd both die from simultaneously inflicting horrific damage. I give the edge to the Major though.

I absolutely dropped my stealthy shit once I hit the tower party and went to town on MJ12 jr. with the TITAN and maxed AR/nanoblade combo, and it was fun, mostly because they couldn't do shit, and I had stockpiled ammo all throughout the game to the point where I was just leaving mountains of corpses as all of the alerted areas converged by the elevators, which was a good chokepoint. The last fight was pretty trivial too, just TITAN it up and unload your favorite EMP weapon (along with a lethal one if you wanna keep it going)

Adam is basically an SSJ3 Batou in GITS, and massively hot shit in DX as it is, and probably would've been the gold standard for future mech augs if he didn't accidentally make himself obsolete with nano augs. The last game will probably end with Bob triggering Adam's killswitch because of this

I remember having a blast PLAYING MD, but I absolutely struggle to remember what the fuck it was even about story-wise, who the bad* guys were, and what I even accomplished. I could tell you fucking everything about HR months after the initial playthrough in 2011, but MD just felt so goddamn pointless, the biggest thing that really stuck with me is that you have an AI waifu stalker and you're working for UNATO jr., but it was really obvious the moment you got there and started doing things with the really obviously telegraphed therapist

Im trying to change to dx12 for my renderer. I have 900 lines for dx12 where dx11 took maybe 50 at best. 99% of this is setting up parameters. You can imagine how much harder it is to avoid bugs. The theoretical speed benefits are most likely eaten by people not willing to waste months making sure it works correctly.

For the Major, you don't know how cyberbrains work in GitS. The cyberbrain is an interface between the brain and everything else. Adam's augs aren't connected to some hackable shell but to the biological brain. You can't hack that.

I see you haven't played the game because the armor upgrades depending on how used to the implant Adam gets. At the highest levels he's almost impervious to small arms and even heavy weapons like devastators and has the titan armor as a backup. Oh and his dermal rhino armor regenerates.
