They try to convince you Clem is dead by putting her in a situation where there's literally no way out, then she gets out offscreen. Its ten times as bad as the Kenny miracle because she's bitten AND has an open leg fracture from an axe attack that she limped around with for at least an hour after the bite.

I like his idea of the caravan mentioned in the ending as the hopeful beginning of Clem becoming this Big Boss, establishing trade routes with other settlements, expanding the school etc. Sounds cool and peaceful, just as she deserves it.

this is actually kino when you think about it. the last episode pretty much was exactly the same situation Lee got put in, but Clementine came out of it alive because she learned from Lee's mistakes and taught AJ to be stronger than Lee could have ever taught Clem to be. It's not a rehashing, it's a reflection of S1 and a testament to the fact that history may repeat its self, but Clem's journey wasn't in vain because Lee died teaching her the right things.

If you read the director's blog posted above, he goes into the development of S2 and 3 somewhat. They had a very rushed and troubled production with many dropped ideas, plot points, character arcs etc. The fact that no game made by Telltale sold even a fraction of TWD Season 1 didn't help either. It makes it so much more surprising that Season 4 ended up being so decent (not as good as S1 obviously, but decent), I'd expect the DEATH of a company to be more of a trouble than fucked up dev cycle.

What? My playthrough had Clem 'retire' under the protection of Louis and AJ. Safest she can be given the circumstances and people around her.
I wish more characters of any race were as good as Lee and Clem.
I liked the banter Clem and Louis had over the imaginary house they'd build together, with Clem wanting a big statue of herself in front of it.
I didn't even realise she was supposed to be black until after I'd played season 1. She was probably adopted, a smart rich couple might do that. Or maybe the dad was infertile so they implanted some donor seed, that would explain why the mother looks a bit like her.
