I have no idea one way or the other but I've seen a lot of people claiming fury warriors are better right from the get-go and that there's a ton of competition with others rolling on your gear, but I'll take your word for it. I've always thought that an undead rogue in full bloodfang is as aesthetic as can be and you're making me want to achieve this dream. Was planning on rolling a priest for the reasons you mentioned, though I don't really see healing as that boring; certainly better than being a mage spamming frostbolt, imo. If you were forced to roll something other than rogue (and you could only have 1 character ever), what would you roll?

everyones saying shadow priest is going to have a bad time, is it true? do we become useful in any raids after the first one?

Two-handers aren't even that great on shaman. I recently leveled an shaman up to around 50 in a private server and past 30 I dreaded using two-handers. Didn't get lucky with RFK axe so I had to stick with the WC staff around to 40 until the greens were better. The lack of hit stuff from talents and mobs resisting stormstrike and shocks makes it a dreadful leveling experience because if you don't kill your mobs fast enough, you'll be both low on mana AND health, meaning you have rest. It's probably a better idea to roll into enha/resto hybrid at around level ~35 when WC staff runs out of it's power. You'll still hit very hard with one-handers and aren't that reliant on stormstrike hitting your target (might even skip it because you don't really need it with a fast weapon).

How will you fund such a daring venture?

Was warlock 14 years ago, was thinking about rolling a melee class. I hate rogues because i started on alliance and will of the forsaken has traumatised me. So i was thinking about warrior, but the enormous amount of post on all the forums and shit tells me they are going to be very popular, and i dont like that. Everyone uses potions. Raiders will pay for flask mats. Rogues will always want Thistle Tea. Swifthistle is one of the best ways to make money for your first time mount while levelling. Every herbalist I'd level would have 150g by the time I hit 40. Like, if you don't feel like levelling, fuck off to the Barrens and farm the stuff.

I started Wow with a dorf hunter and got a wolf named Yomomma 6 months after launch. I mained hunter in each expansion, through good times and bad. When I play classic, it will be as a dorf hunter... Yomomma may return, too.

Consumables basically. Engineering shit ain't tradeable. Also makes you semi self sufficient in that you can gather your own materials.

every raid will need 1 but only 1 spriest. If you can get a spot then cool if not just heal and wait until you can roll on caster trinkets and shit then go spriest for wpvp. spriest is actually one of the strongest pvp specs with good gear

Probably. Just remember that this is an MMO from the days of Everquest. Grinding and time spent playing are your ultimate payouts.
Maining one character simply isn't what you do if you want to really succeed. Having an alt or too is very important for gaining money and saving respec money.
That being said, I definitely recommend playing your hunter first.
I got a priest to 60 in 8 days played on Nostalrius, only to realize I couldn't really farm or get gold on my own without spending exorbitant amounts of gold for gear and respeccing.
I want to play a healer in Classic again, but I'm definitely going to get my hunter to 60 first so I can FUND him in the first place.

Hunter because everyone and their mother knows they ain't the best DPS top end so there will be less competition for the spot, plus it looks fun. Alternatively, warlock, but fuck grinding soulshards AGAIN.

lock/druid are probably the most complex/rewarding to play in pvp and pve. everyone always underestimates them too for some reason

Priests can do a lot of snazzy stuff with Mind Control and other spells. Dire Maul is a special case, there's a lot of weird things you can do there as a priest. But, it's not something done easily or without really good gear. It's far more easier and efficient to just have a DPS alt do your farming.

If you have a Holy Priest for PvE, you cannot farm very easily without respeccing to shadow.
Therefore, you make an alt, preferably a DPS class like a hunter to do the farming for you. This way, you don't have to respec your Priest to farm.

The only correct answer is undead rogue. #1 PvP class, best racials, coolest character art / tier'd armor. Least stressful raiding job, can solo loads of content when you want to be an introvert timid gamer, can out gold farm everyone if you know the exact routes / have the top gear. (Otherwise mage and hunter outfarm you early game / early server life but gold is more important later on than early honestly.) Your gear grind and gear acquisition is fairly easy (Only beat by priests pretending to be girl gamers. Harder to do in this day and age.) and you can still do well even in garbage gear. You will have the easiest time with PvE as most people won't fuck with rogues, and if you want you'll always be able to relocate if a guild zergs you down. LEAST DOWNTIME (with cannibalize.) and best mobility sans portals and mounts. Also is alpha as fuck to play melee and to shit on other players. Top the DPS meters (except Rag fight; Frostmages do that.) and have the biggest dick all the girls wanna suck on. Lowest repair bill assuming your vanish doesn't bug. Passive income with lockpick bot to make $$$ while sleeping.

Downsides to other classes:
Warrior - Biggest repair bill, can't solo cetain content, can't farm effectively, is the #1 most populated class, HARDEST TO GEAR and you will need separate gear for ALL SPECS, is really only fun when you reach max gear and have 1-2 healbots. Easiest class to get 5 man groups rolling, as while warriors are plenty, tanks are not. You can easily PvP against shitty rogues but every other class beats you, until you become max geared, then you kill everyone, except actual skilled rogues.

Mage- Have fun being a food, water, and portal cuck to everyone forever. Third worlders gonna constantly open trade window for 'em. DPS is okay and you feel kinda baller when you do murder players with finesse but not as much as a rogue.

Both Dwarf and Human have solid racials that enable them to fuck with other rogues. Humans pull ahead in DPS though simply because of Sword Specialisation.

It's still one of the better methods of farming than most classes have. Pretty much only class worth leveling purely for increased farming efficiency over holy priest would be mage.

For tanks and healers, 50% of the classes the original guy I was responding to wanted to play, respeccing is necessary if you want to farm. This can be true for DPS classes as well, respeccing from a pvp spec to a farming spec.
You can alleviate this by making an alt.

Mage- Have fun being a food, water, and portal cuck to everyone forever. Third worlders gonna constantly open trade window for 'em. DPS is okay and you feel kinda baller when you do murder players with finesse but not as much as a rogue.

Priest - If you like healbotting roll this. You'll always have a home in raids and groups. For PvP you can have some fun. Mind control can be very lulzy at end-game. (Dunk people in lava, remove expensive buffs, /me to speak to them without need for a 2nd account.) Can't gold farm worth a shit, will need an alpha male tank to carry you for your staff quest, will be forced to healcuck for raids, are usually a PRIMARY target for most players so expect to die a LOT. Very, very boring to play. Not a whole lot to do outside raids and dungeons. Gear upgrades are otherwise easy since 5 mans only need ONE priest.

Are Paladins really as boring as everyone says? Seems like they have a lot of tools for reflecting damage and I like the sound of that. Plus I really enjoy the class fantasy of the paladin. Pic vaguely related since I'm a huge weeb and I like the idea of playing someone like her.

Paladin - You can tank, but not super efficiently. You're actually a decent healer, but priests are still better. Your repair bill is turbo expensive, and your gear upgrades are 2nd hardest in the game (Warriors being the hardest.). Also, you're forced to play alliance, which makes this a losing choice. You can't solo any end game stuff really except a few elites assuming you don't pull anything else and you're in full tier 2. An upside is you're the 2nd least fucked-with class when out and about as paladins just take too fucking long to murder. Stuck healcucking in raids, and your DPS is never consistent in dungeons.

You don't need to buy any of it. Rogues are heavily itemized from quest rewards. heck each content release patch makes it EVEN EASIER for rogues as well. BRD is king for early itemization, which is just a 5 man, and if you target farm certain drops you don't even need a 5 man, just 1-2 druids or 1 druid and 1-2 rogues. You can quickly chain farm and all get geared very fast.

Helm - Ghostshroud (Chest in BRD)
Amulet - Either darkoon or imperial jewel (BRD)
Shoulders - World drop greens are ideal and cheap, otherwise UBRS. Not major anyway.
Chest- Alliance have a quest for green, otherwisae Marudon for horde fungus shroud, Razorfen Downs, PvP rank 8. All the big boy shit is raid boss final boss drops but these will get you by.
Waist- Bestial Fury (BRD)
Legs- WSG Pants but that's 2.0, otherwise, world drop green / blues, rank 8 pvp, so many easy options.
Feet- Quest reward blues, but I'm a grindfag so BRD from princess also good.
Wrist- Yeti Hide in AV or just buy several blue world drops that are slightly better.
Hands- Darkmantle BiS till BWL, BRD quest green reward works till you have BWL progression, if BWL is on farm you can upgrade.
Ring- Silithus Quest blue, if AQ then Brood of Nozdomu is 100% must grind, even at neutral it's BiS, otherwise Marudon ring works.
Trinket- Darkmoon Maelstrom, if you exalted w/ Cenarion Circle (waste of time) for earthstrike, otherwise do whatever you want here. I usually use an engineer doohicky.
Cape- Blackveil from houndmaster (BRD), I prefer blisterbane (random BRD drop) though for stam and resists.
Statstick shooter- AV quest reward bloodseeker, or BiS for dps is boomstick but be rich or lucky.

Mainhand:

Dagger- Barman shank (Pickpocket barkeep BRD) SUPER easy to get. You don't even need a group just stealth in and reset the instance if you don't get it.
Sword- Dragon's call is super fun and wtf in PvP but rare af from Sunken Temple. (I hate that instance.) Otherwise Thrash blade. If you hate that then Lord General's sword (BRD) but it's shittier than all the above.
Mace- Cold forged hammer (AV Quest) is high DPS but shit stats / useless effect.

Offhand:
Shadowblade (World drop), Scarlet Kris (World drop), darrowspike is my favorite (Quest in Scholo).

Unless you really wanna have the biggest possible ambush crit or you're fighting fully geared Naxx tanks there's no reason to go for Naxx gear. Just Perdition Blade / Core hound tooth it up in bloodfang and you're an all-star spooky ganker.

In full Naxx gear I could just sinister strike the majority of the server down without any need for anything. Bloodfang at least lets you full combo someone to death.

Pre 1.3 town guards do not have true sight.
Pre 1.3 you can pickpocket and lockbox very high end gems, but leveling lockpicking is VERY HARD as the game did not give leveling lockbox areas so you have to pickpocket as you quest and no-life it hard before 1.3 hits.

for about the first 50% of vanilla, warriors were indeed absolute shit until patch 1.6 or so
then it took people months to figure out that fury suddenly is best dps in the game
so ultimately most people did never realize until the end of the vanilla

hence there are people that still remember other classes being top dps

however, classic is going to be 1.12, i.e. the patch where warriors not only are best dps, but also where they can go all out on their dps because tanks do a lot more threat too
that being said, private servers had like 30% warriors
vanilla servers had like 15% warriors
I estimate classic servers will be around 20% to 25% warriors

Honestly the best method for AH farming if you're a poorfag is just buy raw mats, make something, and re-sell for profit over the cost of what you bought. I coded my own AH addon to do this for me and used macros to pretty much afk profit during dinner or movie / sex with the gf / etc and would check on it periodically.

Sometimes you could snipe item transfers in the neutral AH too but it wasn't as profitable.

I haven't played since early Cata so it's probably worthless.

One of my main accounts got banned somewhere in TBC so I just paid a chinky $700 to level a rogue to 70 in two weeks and then used that to exploit farm a raid and got most of my wealth back within the month. Paladins are the best pvp healer and reck bombing is fun/funny. You can't tank effectively unless you over gear the instance and will not be tanking raids. You will be healing on a two button rotation for raids.They are one of the least engaging classes when it comes to leveling. That being said they can do some cool stuff especially in world pvp.

if you play alliance, you'll be on the losing side of battlegrounds constantly, as alliance statistically won like 30-40% of the bg's until all the "pro gamers" in WotLK went alliance for better racials. In vanilla, horde have the best PvE and PvP racials so expect all the streamers / pro gaymurs to roll horde as well. One thing alliance did have going for it, was low / instant queue times, but you'd be thrown into a losing battle.

Alliance also have a problem with attracting:
Little kids- Most children do not have the discipline to be good at video games, devote lots of time to video games, or the freedom to play constantly, meaning they will never have fully geared / developed / decent characters. Most little kids will feign responsibility yet play responsible roles. (Warrior, usually.) Some kids are amazing gamers. I know I was at 12, but we can't all be me.

Dadgamers- You know the ones. 2-3 kids, "dadbod" boomers that have little time to devote to gaming these days. They click their skills while getting drunk off a pack of Keystone. They have very little to offer.

Girl gamers- They are girls. If you do not know why having girls on your team is a bad idea then go play some ranked Overwatch. If you really must know I can explain but it should be obvious.

Single moms- Like the girl gamer + dadgamer, but worse. Has to constantly afk to feed the kid or chat it up with a post-wall blue piller. Has to take ciggy breaks and sex breaks. Generally a waste of a human. The lowest of the low, and will drag you down with her.

Old people - These old timers have shit jobs like managing a McCuckolds or a grocery store. They have so little time to invest they usually just RMT all their stuff. They got to 60 by paying a Chinaman or NEET to do the work for them. 100% clicks their skills and has slow reaction time.

Don't play paladin in classic unless you want to be holypal or if have at least a friend for leveling up. During leveling his playsytle is one of the easies in the game - you can heal yourself, you can take some elite mobs by yourself alone and etc. But if you aren't geared enough it takes a long time to kill someone. Sure you'll kill everyone, but it'll be a very lond and repetative battle. All other players will form a partys to kill certain mobs or farm dungeons/mobs so most paladin players becomes loners who's trying to do everything by themselves and it cost them a much more times.
In PvP you are just meat until the late game.

It feels like you are being too generous towards rogues. Warriors always out dps'd the rogues after BWL as do locks and mages - hell all of our locks sat at threatcap and jumped in dps after our tank got TF. They do compete for other melee dps for gear as plate d's gear was often lacking and raids do want at least one feral. Consumables are mandatory and cost quite a bit if your guildbank doesn't provide the flasks. You dps isn't ever that high that you could slack on progress raids and any proper guild will have competition for raidslots anyway.

They're trying to automate things as much as possible, and in addition, I can confirm that they have separate moderation teams for each game.

For example, you can call someone a nigger in Heroes of the Storm once a week and be fine, since action is only taken when enough people report you within a time frame.

Overwatch is in its own special bubble and they're trying to preserve the safe space they've promised players and that they've worked so hard to build.

In conclusion I don't have strong fears of B taking action, but I do fear orchestrated reporting with malicious intent. (25 guild members all report a guy at once to get him temp banned because the system doesn't know better)

When do Night Elves generally make their journey from Darkshore to human/dwarven zones via Wetlands? I remember there being barely any quests in Darkshore or being severly underleveled.

Just start the dungeon groups yourself as DPS, or alternatively, as tank and invite only non-plate users.

its not as good as herbalism or mining but its guaranteed dosh while you have to compete for nodes with mining or herb
if you only want money, pick skinning + herb/mining and then switch to a crafting profession at lvl 35 when you can get artisan skill

It's also incredibly difficult to level early on, everyone knows Herb is where the money is. Sharding might alleviate this a little bit and let you level it up enough so that you can keep up with your levelling speed.

Yes for leveling it's great. By vendoring all leather and not spending gold on useless spells or gear you can have the mount at 40 or early-mid 40 by the latest.

You'll get nowhere near as much gold by leveling with mining/herbalism unless you specifically take out time to gather and not level. Then you also have to bother selling it on the auction house at launch when no one is 60 yet.

Just take skinning + mining. Vendor leather and bank ores, then swap skinning for engineering at 60. There is no gold on a fresh server, so bothering with double gathering in order to auction it off is a waste of time as people don't have money to buy shit with. Vendoring leather literally generates gold.
