How to beat bosses as engi? I usually get to loop, but the sheer amount of bosses makes it nearly impossible to actually do anything to them. Especially magma worms vagrants, they just drift out of grenade and turret range, and are impossible to hit with the mines. Can you make the turrets aim better, or are you just supposed to rely on teammates?

The game is fake fullscreen, you can't downscale unless your desktop is set to 4K. I just use Reshade and inject SMAA, gets rid of a ton of aliasing.

Grenades take some getting use to but do impressive damage on a full charge.
Your DPS is in your turrets since they copy items.
Load them up and get them some mushrooms since literally nothing in the game can move them and they're healing stations that with enough teddy bears and other things can literally tank Overlord tantrums, Titan eyebeams, and etc.
The item that gives you multiple shields and lower cooldowns downright breaks the game and I'm sad I had to give up the run where I had 4 shields just because the Merc portal spawned.
How much content does the game have compared to the first? Is there enough replay value? What if I have played RoR1 for 100 hours already?

It's got a lot less content than the first, they didn't put it in early access for no reason. It's really fun though, definitely worth the $20.
Everyone can see all items on the map, so yeah just take whatever you can get with your money there's no etiquette about it, just don't take what belongs to another person (something they bought or their share of boss loot).

Seems like they fixed the issue RoR1 had where surviving beyond the 30 minute mark made the game way too easy even on Monsoon. I love it.

I don't think it is possible to get to stage 20 without crashing anyways. There was so many procs on screen that as long as I wasn't solo fighting an enemy I didn't have to fight, the ghosts, tesla and procs would kill everything for me. Then you'll love this game. It keeps everything that's core to the identity of RoR1, and playing on a 3D plane improves a ton. You can maneuver around the map so much easier, you can dodge, and being able to see from a distance actually gives you a clue on where to go. Also enemies aren't unkillable damage sponges anymore
I heard rumors Acrid is testing too. I highly doubt they will get rid of the sniper as well. . If anything the Miner, Enforcer and Chef wont come back. Probably the loader too
From what I heard, Lens Maker Glasses adds up, but Toughter Times is multiplicative, so each subsequent bear is worse than 15%.

Yeah, it's really fun when you get enough cooldowns and discipline to just never touch the ground. Your 'Shift' button dashes you through enemies stunning them, but gives you two resets if you hit someone, so you time those right, use your mouse 2, and your low CD ult and you're mostly invulnerable to damage.
Personally my guy is MUL-T who 360 noscopes everything with that rail gun basic attack.

I really want to like commando but his damage output drops off so hard in later levels that the game just becomes a tiring slog, it's easy enough to stay alive as him and I do love his skillset and mobility so every single sp commando run just becomes a run of attrition as far as it really coming down to

Artificer is the same wheelhouse as Huntress; she's a kiter. However, instead of using sustained damage and leveraging high mobility to get out of danger like Huntress, she uses burst damage and cc to both do her shit and get mobs off her. The Shift and R are for adds that get up on you; the M1 and M2 are for boss sniping.
Also, do yourself a favor and prioritize getting a crowbar and a backup mag (ideally in that order). Your M2 is both your main boss killing tool and your anti-air; if you get a crowbar a full charge M2's proximity lightning will 1-shot whisps for a good long while.

desu I think it's a bit easier depending on the items you get, if you get a lot of red whips or goat hoofs or feathers it's really easy to attrition everything down since you become so fast and mobile, whereas in 1 being 2D means you typically had to abuse climbing to accomplish much after a certain point, regardless of your items.
In RoR1 the first pair of glasses gives +10% if its your first crit-up item, with following pairs giving +7%. The story may not be acknowledging other crit-up items, including itself. All items that proc on crit also give a small +crit%.
