As much of a Nintendo fan I am, if I were to buy a game meant for children to play, I'd sooner have my hands on a Kirby game rather than a Yoshi one. The Yoshi franchise used to have one original title and maybe a few others who didn't treat its players like shit, but after a point, these recent ones literally do treat you like a kid.

Games are a visual medium and aesthetics are a huge part of any game. It’s fair to call it kiddy if it looks kiddy.
I haven’t played this one but considering every yoshi game since Story has been near impossible to fail in, it’s a safe assumption the gameplay is more for kids than for all ages.
Actually Island DS was balls hard at times even if it wasn’t a great game, but that seems to be the exception.
