WTF BROS WHY ARE SMOKE BOMBS USEFUL??

Why not shitty webm critque thread

yeah its fucking hilarious
imagine if you could backstab for massive damage in Souls games haha

Nerf fistfull of ash

>after 6 games, the camera still fucking sucks
fix your shit miyazaki fucking hack

Kill yourself retard

>can literally resurrect multiple times

what a waste of 17 spirit emblems to kill 3 easy enemies and one moderately-annoying one. I guess this is why people are shitting on the game

Damn that was fast.

honestly yeah, Wolfie is a pretty weak faggot that literally lays down on the ground and cries when someone pokes him. Not even posture broken, he just flinches, stumbles and lays down for anything.

What a waste of spirit emblems I hope your stupid ass had to spend money on more.

Japs are small and weak just like their brethren the cracker

>wasting all your spirit emblems on 3 dudes
nice job retard

>hit enemy thirty times
>they lose a bar and get up again
>be hit twice
>die and resurrect with half your barlet
>die to one more hit immediately after
So this... is the power of a Shinobi?

>japs are small
then Half Wolf is a literal midget

well sure, if you want to use all your shikigami things just taking down a few guys who you can kill in three hits, knock yourself out, batman. Using it on bathrobe guy might be reasonable, but the rest is just a webm of wasted ammo.

This mechanic is clunky and shitty, it really is most attacks leave you stumbling like faggot

>he wasted literally his entire talisman pool on 4 enemies
Show us what happens in the next encounter

Yeah sure it is easy to do that thing that will waste all of your spirit emblems and will leave you with no prosthetic arms to use.

you forgot staring at the tip of his sword/dick, mesmerized

And yet Wolf manages to defeat all those chads.

>wasting spirit emblems on that stupid gimmick

I unequipped that shit the first time I used it.

it uses 6 emblems per cast, nice work wasting all your emblems on fodder

this guy is basically just a tutorial for what comes next

>trainer
pathetic

This.
I played that part earlier. Just plunge assassinated the blue dude and killed the others with 2 hits each.

Never used it once. How long cc?

>enemy does more than half my health of damage in one hit
>resurrect with half your health

Did you struggle so much that you needed to cheat? It's an easy miniboss, user, you just parry it and win

dont know what youre talking about, never even fought him before, it was pure random chance that i landed right in a boss room, i didn't even know where i was heading

90% of items you pick up are just consumables you will never use

>resurrect
>sprint away from the enemy at the speed of light
>chug pot in safe distance
Really not that hard.

Fuck off, plebbit.

A couple seconds, usually enough to get a deathblow in

Game should have permadeath for the player and NPCs

>28K sen
>fills posture meter in one hit
Not even trying to be discreet.

back away instead of just standing there like a retard

The ressurection ended up being a very shallow mechanic

Lightning guy was a cake walk compared to back to back perfect parry.

>28k gold
>all skills unlocked

>>play as an actual homosexual
Excuse me? IS THIS FOR REAL?

Attached: Donte.png (1008x900, 807K)

You can just grapple up to the rafters, jump down attack him 2 times, grapple back and repeat

The story was super uninteresting and felt underdeveloped

they were scared of how overpowered it would be if it worked as originally intended (allowing you to re-enter stealth basically) and made it alert the entire fucking map

now it's just second chance

I'm not even surprised to learn that Corrupted Monk was one of the first bosses developed. It is one of the few that actually feel like it was made fully with the game's combat mechanics in mind. So many bosses felt experimental and untested that it hurts

The homosexual part is memeing on account of how loyal he (could be) to his lord, who everyone on this board refers to as shota.

imagine having to use cheats to beat the literal easiest miniboss in the game.
then imagine thinking killing the easiest miniboss in the game with cheats would actually make an interesting webm.

Attached: 1479417954837.jpg (420x420, 27K)

No u, drown in your tears casual.

what are you poor?

The only gripe I have with this game is that it spoils it's own multiple endings to you. I did both questlines, got all the items, but couldn't do anything with it.

Now maybe it bugged out, because I got the rice after I killed the dragon, but then it's already useless.

But it basically locked me into the default ending, but I already did both questlines. Now if they actually cut off the start of these questlines, instead of the last step of the quest they didn't ruin the replayability of the whole game.

It even ruined my victory over ishinn desu.

>enemy jettisons after you across the arena to gobsmack you

why do all Combat Arts feel so terrible to use? I've been trying to have fun with One Mind but it can't land on anything except mooks, even on boss massive openings

I've emptied the non-replenished stock in every store and have nothing left to upgrade, so no, but I also did thst without cheats because I'm good at video games.

mortal blade one is the best

Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to make one of the achievments "LE UNLOCK ALL SKILLS :-^)"? This is the last one I need to 100% the game, but unless I cheat it will take HOURS of grinding to farm ~40-50 skill points to unlock everything. This is so retarded.

My problem is you can unlock something like 20 combat arts, but can only equip one at a time. The fuck was the point of that? It made unlocking them in the skill tree feel like a waste of skill points, because I know I'd never use them. That aside, some cost spirit emblems to use, some have animations that are so drawn out that you couldn't possible ever land every attack, and most important of all - none of them are better offensive options than your basic, regular attacks. It's a tacked-on element. What a shame.

the worst blunder about Sekiro is the unparryable attacks
>some shitty danger indicator
>massive hitbox on thrust attack even you jump over it it will still hit you
the whole thing is just unnecessary, the posture damage from mikiri and face-stepping should've been enough incentives for the player to use them against sweeping and thrust attacks, there is no need to force them with shitty on-screen indicators.

just go to New NG and you'll get more XP from enemies and bosses

they really are all trash, some are alright vs just regular enemies but its always better to just spam r1 vs bosses

>Really wanted to do some sheathed/unsheathed attacks
>Can't
T-Thanks

>kill enemies
>rest
>they spawn again
when will this meme gimmick mechanic be removed? it makes you not want to kill normal enemies and just run past everything till the boss.

I just want a Tenchu game!

>batman invented stealth kills
you invented being a faggot

Im at the end of NG+ and I still need 40-50 skill points. Unless I farm it would probably take you til ng+15 or higher to naturally get the skill points without grinding.

Mikiri thrusts are very very lenient compared to deflecting thrusts. I do agree that hitboxes can be wonky though. Sweeps and thrusts are very identifiable if you look for the cues.
>Unnecessary
What would you suggest instead? Only deflecting? That would eventually feel dull and players would lose interest since all the fights would feel the same.

>all skills unlocked
what? i don't have all skills unlocked wtf

imagine getting this butthurt over a webm lmaooo

Its fun and better than souls but theres something about the combat that still makes it clunky/unresponsive similar to souls
dmc5 combat is where it's at

>What would you suggest instead? Only deflecting?
that's not what i was saying, i'm saying that thrust/sweep attacks should be parryable with mikiri/jumping being optional/riskier while doing massive posture damage.

is butterfly lady supposed to come before lighting dude with bow?

Thrust attacks can be deflected

They feel about the same to me, just do whatever boss you want first. This isn't dark souls 3.

How will next fromsoft game will look? If we extrapolate using all souls-related stuff, it will be
>Entire world size of about ashina outskirts + ashina castle
>6-8 major bosses
>Each boss has up to 8 phases
>No way to customize character at all, not even useless meme gimmicks
>Same price as previous titles
>Fromdrones praise it as greatest game ever

I'm trying to envision mikiring a sweep and I suppose it could work. All mikiri really does is step on top of the blade interrupting the attack. No reason that a low to the ground sweep can't be stepped from a practical viewpoint. Here's a fun fact btw, after some non-sweeping moves (or even when they're doing nothing), you can still stomp on enemies anyway. I don't really know if everyone would really accept mikirining sweeps. I kinda prefer the current system. Compared to all of FS's soulbornes games, enemies track much heavily so that's probably why jumping above thrusts attacks just isn't possible with the system they're using.

i've been using nightjar slash the most. its useful for when enemies take a step back from you.

>went beast after a small break
Why is this so true and so essential?

It's not a perfect or even a polished game but Sekiro helps pass the time when there aren't very games at the moment that's of interest. More people would get DMC5, but the issue is that its the FIFTH game. That doesn't seem like a big deal, but most people don't want to suddenly introduce themselves into a long running series. (Ex. Monster Hunter World, called World instead of 5 for marketing purposes.) A lot of people complain Sekiro being a piece of garbage anyway. I don't really think there are as many fromdrones as people say anyway.

SEETHING

Attached: brainlet2.jpg (480x344, 13K)

I just dodged through his swings and counterattacked, makes me feel kind of silly for being so afraid of parrying.

but he didn't beat it? he just got the initial deathblow which everyone gets

No replayability. I hope if we get a dlc, that we will get AT LEAST ONE new weapon along with plenty of prosthetics and new skill tree upgrades. After you get all 4 endings, there’s nothing else to do/try. I love it otherwise

Anyone else kinda disappointed about how situational the grappling hook is? Theres no creativity involved with using it, you use it when the game expects you too.

It's like a more targeted firecrackers, with maybe a very slightly longer windup. Really cheap and dirty trick, I love it. Follow it up with a double ichimonji.

Oh how I wish we could have another weapon, just for a bit of variety.

>what is ashina cross?

You are pretty much an immortal badass for almost every enemy in the game, like in every souls game.

The biggest flaw is that fromsoft are incompetent animators.
Now I say this with sympathy. Action game animation is really hard. It's hard because the gameplay designers come up with the movesets but it's the animators that have to make them work, and that's a difficult task.
But it's really inexcusable in a game like this. When the main gameplay hook is that you have to time parries on all attacks, you need your animations to be consistent. That means, a boss with a weapon needs to treat that weapon like it's a certain weight and he has a certain level of strength to wield it. And that the weapon must be swung at a certain speed to be a danger. And a million other things.
The animations of any given fromsoft boss bear no consistency with each other. Sometimes it'll take him a year to chaaaaaarge and then swing. Other attacks will be instant swings. These do the same damage. Sometimes the enemy will be bringing all their strength to bear just to swing the weapon, other times they'll flick it out like it's a feather. There's no depth to it, and no ability for skill to carry you. Nope, it's pure mindless repetition, learn that this attack is fast and this one is slow, that's it. Shame.
Go back and compare the animations in dark souls 1 to the animations in bloodborne and dark souls 3. The latter two are wild flailing with no semblance of sense. At least the former tended to be consistent - guy with big sword swings it slowly, guy with small sword swings it fast. I think they had to go berserk with the animations because people fetishize the difficulty of these games, and ds1 is just too easy these days.

prepare your ass then

I'm playing on ps4 and too many times has that symbol popped making me think to press O due to it being a red indicator. Other games have made me retarded and i hate it.

Beyond what other people are saying I feel one problem with Sekiro is a lot of the finer points of combat in it aren't really told to players especially in any direct way. Spamming parries being worse is only mentioned in a single loading screen tip, along with vaulting over sweeping attacks and jumping on enemies afterwards. Hanbei the Undying is a good idea to have players test combat mechanics themselves but he doesn't have enough options to really work it, before I killed him there's only the ability to test three basic combat features along with the Mikiri Counter that I saw. I think a more free form customization practice mode with him along with more advanced training options would've reduced a lot of peoples troubles with the game by making what options players have available clearer for those interested.

How is it garbage?

>beat game 4 times
>wtf why no replayability!?
Uuuuh..

who the FUCK thought it was a good idea to make me run for 2 minutes each time i lose to Owl, this is bullshit. At least with Genichiro it was like 10 seconds at most of fumbling through the window

>He didn't just fight his way back up to the dojo area and use the statue there

How come this guy got posture broken in 1 running attack even though you weren't in stealth?

MEMORIES BROKEN, THE TRUTH GOES UNSPOKEN

Stop being a fucking brainlet.
You can get to the upper area through the same grapple hook window you used before. Run upstairs again and you can use an idol there. You have to kill a mini-boss before unlocking the actual shortcut you used to fight Genichiro but it's totally possible if you just fucking explore the area.

Gonna get Sekiro tomorrow

I'm hyped!

Its fantastic. I hope you enjoy it.

lmao you can deflect thrusts
git gud

have fun and take your time.

just got to the Owl fight, when does the game get good

If you're not having fun by that point, you'll probably never have fun with it. There's some pretty kino fights later on imo but it's not like the quality of the game itself notably changes.

Did anyone have trouble with Genichiro really?

I keep seeing people complaining about him.
I beat him first try just by parrying and being super aggressive.

>Having to heal even once fighting this shitter

batman was trained by ninjas tho. It's gone full circle.

It rewards people who are patient and plan rather than go straight into combat. Nothing wrong with it. You master combat from bosses anyways

I finally beat Demon of Hatred this morning, but I think the boss is bullshit. You should be able to run underneath it to the back with the space they give you, the demon shouldn't be able to pivot it's entire body when it does the stomp. Most bosses are fair in how they test you, but this boss pushes people to learn every single one of it's moves in order to even kill it. It does NOT belong in this game. I felt no real satisfaction beating it.

The problem with Genichiro is you can't "be aggressive" because he auto-blocks anything unless an opening after his special attacks.

My problem is that BS dash move that comes out super fast to the point where if you aren't already sprinting away from it's gonna hit you. Hell even when sprinting it's a 50/50 chance.

I still haven't beaten him. At least I got to the last phase once

If they stopped trying then they were never really chads. Just bigger guys with 50 layers of armor on or skin made of steel.

why does every combat art feel like shit that's just a trap to get me killed

Attached: 1496712108826.jpg (640x393, 138K)

Spotted someone for whom the game didn't click yet. It doesn't matter if they block you. Just keep attacking until they deflect and then be ready to deflect their counterattack. Keep being aggressive in this back and forth and you can kill them easily without even depleting much of their HP. Fastest boss kills this way. Enemies also have different AI depending on if they're attacking or defending so try to learn what those counterattacks are and how you can deflect or otherwise punish them.

Attached: kaname.png (400x400, 223K)

youtu.be/lJUByIbqm-Q

what. Getting up in his shit is one of the best strategies for him

That move isn't as bad as it may seem. Just jump away when it warns you of the perilous attack instead of trying to dodge or run. The hitbox for that animation seems a bit fucked but jumping almost always works.

I'M EVEN FORGOTEN MY NAME actually played with MGR soundtrack, it fits so fucking great

meh, I don't see the issue. if you like the game enough to want to 100% the achivements what's wrong with clearing it a couple times?

Guys I think I might suck at this game. I've died like 3 times on that general right after the 3 wolves in the area immediately after you wake up with the guy who gives you the arm. I'm also kinda confused on how resurrection works. It said when I die I halve progress on skill points and lose all my loot. Is there any reason not to resurrect then?

Attached: heh.png (1280x738, 597K)

Monk fists are actually great, you can interrupt all bosses attacks cause it is fast as hell

You lose money and exp when you die and revive back at an idol with a small chance (default 30 percent) not to lose shit. Reviving on the spot has no downsides so always do it unless you want to save your second revive that needs to be built up.

You should always resurrect. Use that resurrection to run back to a Sculptor's Idol and rest so that you don't lose your exp/sen and spread Dragonrot.

For the general, you can get a stealth kill on him by sneaking of the cliffs left of his arena. You can then do a plunging attack taking off one dot. Hold L1 to block against all his attacks and tap L1 when he starts charging up an overhead to deflect. If a red kanji shows up, jump away then run back.

>oh hey btw you can parry spear thrusts and also if you have that skill you can do a lot of posture damage
>ok
>LOL EAT SHIT NIGGER IT WON'T WORK ON THIS MOB AHAHAH NOW GO RUN ALL THE WAY BACK FROM THAT STATUE YOU DUMB FUCK
fuck this game

Attached: Sekiro-Boss-Guide-How-to-Beat-Shinobi-Hunter-Enshin-of-Misen.jpg (1280x720, 63K)

Fighting Owl, how much of this shit game is left?

but it does work?

Cause you're bad? Hit someone with firecrackers, even a boss and it's more than enough to do the Ichimon over head or whatever it's called. Heals your posture AND does massive posture damage. The monk fist is fast, builds posture damage and works even on most bosses. The spin one and the mortal blade one have MASSIVE hit boxes letting you use them from far away or on groups. The flowing water one is the fastest series of attacks you can do so it's great for things like building up divine confetti on apparitions.

they're all good with their own use

Haha what? You are shit my man, you missed the timing so you just assume it doesn't work as opposed to you just fucking it up? You think pretty highly of yourself considering how trash you are at video games.

It does work. All of his thrusts are parriable. His perilous thrust even gives off a gigantic amount of sparks when you parry it

You're about halfway through.

it literally does not work in the same way it does with the regular spearmen mobs

>Wasting all those spirit emblems on fodder
Just air takedown the samurai dude then destroy the other idiots, what a fucking waste..

Nah I'm done. Thanks.

11/10

What does it say about spamming parries? I'm not even sure I ever got that screen.

Use Mist Raven.

In Sekiro you be aggressive by constantly staying in their face and attacking, even if they block, to build and keep posture damage up. The health damage you get in is just gravy that helps you keep the work you've done on their posture up. Health damage helps but I have beaten bosses in this game while touching their health bar once or twice. Parrying is so key, it is not optional.

they look cool

Attached: 1553719833121.png (1276x710, 691K)

Should have chosen to join him. You'd be at the final boss already.

I'm surprised that nobody seems to be complaining about how pointless the dragonrot mechanic is. It literally does nothing aside from locking off a few sidequests that barely even have any worthwhile rewards to doing them unless you're one of the 5 people who played this shit for the almost non-existent lore.

On top of which, no major characters ever die because of it and the 2 (TWO) side characters that actually can are scripted to do so after you beat Owl, and will die regardless of whether or not you made sure to heal them. It's just there to artificially stress people out even though it does jack shit.

Attached: 1552797061815.jpg (500x504, 21K)

I can't sheathe my katana, 0/10 trash game

>watching jermas playthrough
>beat genshiro like 2-3rd try.
he died to fucking pinwheel. why am i so bad compared to this shitter.

Mistakes were made.

This was a huge issue I had with the game. Felt like those Assassins Creed/Batman games where you are doing takedowns constantly and people who say it requires stealth/items are wrong. You are constantly breaking posture and doing finishers even if they notice you and this works on minibosses and bosses too.

this was heartbreaking

>Ninja
>Stealth game
Yeah sure thing bud. The only reason stealth takedowns exist is because this game started off as a Tenchu but wound up becoming a souls game because they literally could not develop a tenchu game competently and needed to "Make something different." So they made an action oriented souls game.

Now instead of just running past mooks like you do in usual soul games you can back-stab most of them. Woopee. Doesn't make this a fucking ninja game by any metric. Nor does the game calling your samurai character a "Shinobi."

>fromdrones will defend batman takedowns in sekiro
>Implying Batman kills enemies with a katana

I think it would be too cruel of the game to literally kill off all your characters because you got stuck on a boss or something. It's nice to keep your deaths tense and make you feel bad for your dear NPC friends, but if they actually died it would be too much.

it's been a while since i fought him, but i remember him having the huge window that regular mobs have. sure, you dont get the free kill when you do it, but you push the posture meter up a lot

membe tenchu?
ooooh i membe!!

no, it's about the free kill it's about the piece of shit not registering it

Did he live? I felt bad for killing all of the non-humans.

>don't think of deflection as a reaction test
and here i was memorizing every enemy's attack patterns and never holding L1 until i found out you could do it to restore posture at the end of the game

It just says on one loading screen that pressing block multiple times gives you less time to deflect and nothing else, as posted game reviewers got an extended guide explaining these things in more detail which is both sad and hilarious.

>
I did everything for the hardest to get ending by accident but got the bad ending because I followed the code. Gonna take a break from it. That kinda burned me t b h

Agreed. Feels like they wanted to punish the player but were afraid any lasting effects would be too difficult, so they just half-assed it instead.

Woooow I had no idea you could parry his double-slash without your poster getting immediately destroyed. I wasted way more time on this boss then I needed to.

What they really needed to do was make unseen aid a lot higher by default and dragonrot more common to trigger. No one cares about the unseen aid aspect of it because 30 percent is already too unreliable to ever happen when you REALLY need it. If it were like 80 percent by default but constantly being widdled down there would actually be a question as to when you wanted to cure it, like they intended. At least then the mechanic would have functioned like it was actually supposed to on a gameplay level. As it is no one cares they lose unseen aid because it's largely useless.

They have to be perfect, otherwise you eat half damage and die in four hits

>shitpost on Yea Forums thirty times per day about the same game

Consolefags have input lag and need to learn to predict and not react

game fucking sucks

consolechads confirmed for high IQ

Just go from the Dojo statue, nigga.
Or you can just grapple up and ignore the ninjas. It's not that long of a run.

Stealth feels great. I love sneaking around, assessing the situation and taking out a health bar off a miniboss or finding a way to avoid getting Dark Souls 2 ganked.
The side quest rewards aren't very good, true.
Dragonrot is fine, imagine if the game actually killed off all your characters if you sucked at the game.
The usable items are good, especially the invisibility sugar and the fistful of ash.
Prosthetics are good, they just require a decent IQ to use beyond spamming firecrackers or reading a guide to see you can use the spear to pull out the Ape's centipede.
Divine Dragon is a good gimmick fight, people have been complaining about Souls fights being all the same type of fight in this very site, saying they're all dodge + r1 simulators. Well now you get sword fights, two good gimmick fights, and Dark Souls-style fights. Good variety.

Attached: doll4.jpg (310x346, 28K)

so what are the best skills aside from the mikiri counter and chase slice

% of usable items are pointless
Stopped reading there, you are absolute shit if you think this.

Ichimonji and the double version.

you can use the same shrine you used to fight genichiro to fight owl

Beaten the game 5 times using estus, pellets, dousing powder, antitode powder, rice sometimes and confetti only.
Most of the usable items are fucking pointless.

Healing deathblows helps with mob control

>using items makes you shit at the game
the fucking irony

>Dragonrot is fine, imagine if the game actually killed off all your characters if you sucked at the game.
It really isn't 'fine'. The game just initially scares you into thinking it's not fine and then you realize it's completely non-consequential. It's literally a pointless mechanic

>run past everything till the boss
It's almost like it's a Souls game, whaddayaknow

Does anyone know what caused me to being able to see ghost samurai out in the world?

So you just listed 6 of them which is already a lot, didn't list the purple gourd or contact powder so I guess you somehow never needed to heal terror, didn't list the item that's a fucking free life so I guess a free life isn't useful and didn't list fist full of ash which is a free Ichimonji strike. Or the stealth buff that lets you stealth kill tons of enemies you otherwise couldn't. Or any of the healing items besides the gourd because I guess healing isn't useful. Fuck the cold rice amirite, who needs to have near constant full health as a result of insane regen. You're a moron man, The fact that you listed like 6 items and think that still counts as "none" alone makes you such an idiot.

I said a lot of people consider it garbage not that I do. I think it could it use a little tweaking though.

If you can't recognize how good they are then yes it does. It means you don't understand the mechanics of the game. Or you're just a moron looking for weak negative criticism to pad your green text list.

So you hate the game so much you've played through it 5 times?

> I guess you somehow never needed to heal terror
Only a few things inflict terror and you need to be an actual shitter to be hit by those attacks.
The rest of the items are crutches. Sorry you need crutches, user.

Did I ever say I hate the game? I love this game man.
I just have some gripes with it. One of which is that the vast majority of usable items are pretty useless, therefore making exploration feel unrewarding a lot of the time.

Biggest complaint I have, is that so much of the music is forgettable. The only two I remember and I liked were the divine dragon and demon of hatred. I was really hoping for some hype music in the end on the same level as youtube.com/watch?v=ZYAPgPH9hsI

>Only a few things inflict terror and you need to be an actual shitter to be hit by those attacks.
I now don't believe you actually played this game or at least that you didn't fight the headless or the other apparition who gives the ceremonial tanto.

I want a version of this game with more linearity and less grappling. I’ve missed so much because I’m not constantly looking at the sky trying to spot tiny white marker. Pretty annoying

OK now address my point that 6=/=none.

kek this. i was doing some planning up until the mook boss before lightning nigger against the 2 dudes in a corner a bit out of the way expecting something dope.
cermaic shard

It's good for making you care for the NPCs. You can't progress their quests and you hear them suffering. That's the most they could do. What would be the next step? Them dying. Which would suck, I doubt even the git gud crowd would like being pressured with the possibility of their NPCs dying if they got stuck on a boss. The game is already the most punishing regarding death out of all the Souls games, no need to go overboard.

Attached: gaze.png (600x600, 331K)

I've fought all the Shichimen Warriors and I've killed all of the headless.
Shichimen literally cannot hit you with terror if you spam r1 and strafe when he does laser, and headless cannot hit you with terror if you know how to deflect their slowmo attacks.

Attached: ss (2019-03-30).png (949x537, 73K)

Now addres my point that 99% (hyperbole) =/= all

>and headless cannot hit you with terror if you know how to deflect their slowmo attacks.
See this is why I don't believe you, their attacks still build it up on deflect. Also nice picture of achievements that literally anyone could have pulled from the internet, that totally proves you aren't lying.

i'll be sure to add it to the pasta in the next thread

Yeah, the music was straight up bad in some places, like the generic encounter at Fountainhead Palace. Most bosses had okay to good music, but nothing great.

6 out of like 25 is not 99 percent. If you have to continually engage in such blatant hyperbole it's pretty clear you are full of shit.

I screenshotted my achievements. Not sure what I can do to prove it further. Just try and find this exact pic with the ecact dates and times, I dare you.
And if YOU would have played the games you'd know that if you perfect parry headless with confetti, there's no terror buildup.

This is one of the mos pitiable posts I'v ever seen. Have fun dude. I'll be playing video games I actually enjoy.

>check global achievements on Steam
>90% of people have started the game but only 60% have even beaten Gyoubu

Attached: 1463333195848.png (374x347, 171K)

99% have stated the game*

not hardcore gamers

Yea and I don't believe that you actually figured that out and never needed to reduce your terror build up on any attempts. If you didn't EVER get hit by one of their attacks, didn't ever land anything but a perfect deflect and never even though to reduce your terror build up then you read a guide online which makes you an even bigger fag. People do not inherently know these things unless they engage in trial and error or look things up.

how does the prosthetic even work? he can clearly manipulate his fingers somehow but there's no way that thing is connected to any nerve endings

keep telling yourself that while you play a game that people only beat so they can brag about it on a taiwanese basket weaving forum

It's definitely theoretically possible to create a prosthetic that has some finger movement just from the muscle contractions that are left. That's how traditional prosthetic arms work though they are usually limited to gripping and not gripping. You gotta just kinda ignore how much control he has and accept Dogen was way ahead of his time is what they try to get across.

I'm not saying I never got hit by terror. I even got killed by terror a couple of times.
Then I realized to just use confetti and it was ez pz. All enemies that inflict terror are so shit-easy to deal with once you just use confetti

Seriously fuck the Guardian Ape's second phase. That scream attack is the most faggot shit.
>barely any windup
>huge damage radius
>builds terror which only slowly recedes
>if full terror than basically instant death

The duo ninja shinobi garbage is supposed to be one of the throwaway bosses right? Like you aren't supposed to ACTUALLY even attempt it right? I beat Owl on my first try but this game's combat system is obviously didn't mean for you to take on two fast attacking enemies at once

Attached: 1499704853250.jpg (396x353, 20K)

here's your (you)

The windup starts before the red kanji appears. You have to watch the hand that holds the head.

USE RAVEN PROSTHETIC AND JUST TP AWAY LMAO

If you fail to see the windup coming just use raven feathers
headless ape is piss-easy

You can take out the purple one with stealth.

The fps drops are killing me.

Attached: cucked by sekiro.webm (640x360, 2.39M)

I don't see anyone bragging. In fact if you asked me I'd tell you I think it's the easiest FROM game. That doesn't make it bad or unenjoyable. You do think its unenjoyable though yet apparently played it 5 times? Isn't that a lot more pathetic? Beating a game you don't like not once but 5 times just to "prove" to strangers on a taiwanese basket weaving forum that it isn't fun? That seems infinitely more pitiable to me than enjoying a video game.

>remember to dodge to avoid grabs!
>nah just kidding lol, have fun getting teleported into the ogre's grab

So in other words had you used that item in those situations where you got killed by it would have been useful?

fucking hell everytime I see people posting these crafty webms I feel retarded and say "Why didn't I think of this?"

Maybe actually time it correctly?

not really. I hadn't realized by that point that confetti completely cancels out terror
If I had I would have never died to terror.

You also wouldn't have died to it if you reduced your build up correct?

butterfly can be beaten by dashing twice between hits, you can stun lock her alright but you will need to deflect and such once you get her health down a bit so you can poise break her
when she does the illusion just run around until the spirits disappear and dodge the butterflies that come off them
She's definitely meant to be fought before genchiro but both are beatable, however genchiro isn't really cheeseable so you'll need to learn how to play, he's like the official skill check of the game and if you can beat him you have proven you understand how to game works and it basically tips you out of tutorial mode in that no more bosses are skill checks and are just bosses

On the topic of items, there are the ez heals pellets, rice, last resort heal divine grass. Ash could be useful for charged combat arts. The three status gourds really depend on how often you get statused. Contact poison is actually useless. Powders last too little but are cures. Eel livers are unnecessary because of lightning reversals. All the candies feel like they only last 20 seconds and the monk candy lover skill make them actually feel like they last well. Red lumps are near useless since you have to avoid getting any damage to begin with. Balloons are exclusively for farming. Snap seeds only real use is to deal damage and stun the first corrupted monk. Persimmons are to be hoarded for rice maiden. Rice balls are to be eaten exclusively in front of Lord Kuro. Confetti increases damage against ghost nerds.

>yet apparently played it 5 times
i think you might be confusing me for some other faggot who replied to you earlier

i'm just here to shitpost

Yeah I was wondering what the fuck was up with it not putting you back in stealth, I thought it just didn't work against bosses/minibosses but it alerts normal guys too
They should have at least made it an unlockable skill so it works like originally advertised

Nope. The few times I died to terror were
1. to ape when he screamed in my face the first time
2. ghost warrior balls when I tried to fight him when I found him the first time
3. parrying headless after which I gave up and came back when I had confetti after fighting ghost warrior

Yea but all that doesn't count so none of them are useful.

You didn't answer my question correctly. Let me correct you, in fact had you used the right item you would not have died to terror those times you did, giving it a use. Because it's really not possible to argue that preventing a death that you did suffer isn't useful.

>items don't have any use because an item makes this other item useless
Do you even read your own posts?

ok then, ill just console myself with uncooked rice

>I don't like this mechanic
>"critique"
you're supposed to explain why it's bad you fucking retard. they're completely optional, just fight them regularly

Finally someone said it.

How do you get more resurrection nodes?

I would have died to them regardless, because fighting headless and ghost warrior without confetti is pointless.
Ape just one-shot me because I didn't know what to expect of the scream, so it's not like I had the time to reduce terror.

qt creepy giggling dancing warrior fish waifus

Attached: okami warrior.jpg (1023x1448, 578K)

Favorite boss fight?

You kill lady butterfly and give the stone she drops to kuro

Why do people not use consumables?
They should help you learn something if you spent all of them in a fight, at worst they only organize your inventory better so you can use them more efficiently

First playthrough, armored knight (for some reason that fight stuck with me)
After all this time? I gotta say SS Isshin is enjoyable as fuck. Challenging and Kino

where do i go in ashika castle area to progress exactly?
lightning dude? i got him, the guy down below him, the seven spear guy, the loner shadow ninja where you start the game, and scary area with crickets

hard to decide just yet, but monky, corrupted monk and SS isshin are definitely up there. the game is just littered with amazing fights

Resurrection nodes restore after killing enemies. You get one for resting at idol. Deathblowing a boss will typically return much more than a common mob. You can use red balloon for faster regen. You can also use a statue to restore a node completely. Can't revive twice in a row if you haven't killed a single enemy or deathblowed a boss.

I'm a big dumb illiterate, sorry user.

Nah, they know people like the Souls model, so they aren't going to dumb it down drastically. They aren't fucking Bethesda. If they ever come back to Dark Souls or a game like it, it's still gonna be an RPG, and it's still gonna be focused around exploring a big interconnected open world with lots of dungeon crawling.and loot

fuck this god damn faggot and the imbecile who made him

Three ways. Two ways can be accessed by starting from Ashina Castle Idol and grappling to the branch from the initial bridge. Third way can be found by dropping from the Antechamber idol to the pond. You should spot a path that goes to a shrine with some monkeys around.

It’s too hard to find the next boss

There’s like 30 waypoints and I need to find guardian ape

Tips for demon of hatred?

The should simply have missions. The dying mechanic is just annoying at this point.

i just beat this guy after being stuck on him for a few days. really just had to not fuck up the mikiri counters

Yes and by the end of that 20 second fight he has 2 Spirit Emblems left retard. It's almost like Bloodsmoke Ninjutsu costs a colossal fuckload of Emblems to use, and now the guy has to go through the entire rest of the area without that ability OR prosthetics.

would you, Yea Forums?

Sekiro, more like Sekino

Attached: sekiroemma2.png (1860x1025, 1.62M)

I like this game, but my biggest complaint is that I never felt like I got rewarded for exploring and trying to find items. You only really find consumables, which are nice and useful, but they aren't exciting the same way new clothes or weapons are.

I just want to wear some samurai jack robes or something, just some variety.

Attached: 20190323132707_1.jpg (1920x1080, 520K)

thats still so damn confusing. fuck this area
its nice too though. going vertically climbing to enter the castle and seeing the fucking WOOOOOOOOOO kite birds was something

Depends on your biggest issue. If you're having trouble with fireballs, you can use ministry dousing powders to drastically reduce fire damage. I usually get close enough to negate fireballs or feint them out if I'm too far. You could also use fire umbrella like a little bitch. You can usually manage two to four hits before demon starts up a new combo. His most damaging moves is going to be 2 fire swipes, one stomp, followed by one more swipe. I parry them all (deflecting doesn't prevent fire damage) if I can but sometimes he just misses. Others suggest running constantly but I get hit more often like that. After he does one of the charging sweep attacks, watch the position of his arms, up means a fire slam = run straight sideways (won't work if you're too close), down means another sweep = jump. neither = close distance. Malcontent's ring can also stun them but only a max of 3 times. I usually focus on damage with shurikens but it's up to you whether you want to use these tools.

you must be fun to hang out with

fire umbrella, then bait the whip and slam or the jumping air slam, you can easily tank them and get plenty of time to chip at his health

I found a ton of prayer beads, alternative routes to clear out enemies more effectively, and nice prosthetic upgrade materials. I can't really complain about exploration rewards.

I hope dogen appears in dlc

Fighting some wooden dummy automatons would be cool

I'll make the first part easier, after teleporting to Ashina Castle idol, turn around and go to the bridge. You should see old woman pointing the way, jump and grapple the branch. Continue until you see wheelcart and eavesdrop, that's the right way. Continue and you can grapple on top of big gate, you should see 3 dogs and a bell dude. After defeating them, you are now able to access the abandoned dungeon.

ah okay then thank you. ill go clear spear guy, ninja guy, and maybe the guy in the castle tomorrow before i continue then.
is the guy surrounded by like 5 dudes up the stairs from that idol worth killing?

He drops a bead. If you do that, shurikens can take out his lackeys quickly assuming you get caught.

Are you fucking retarded? If they didn't respawn it would not be possible to farm them

I just got to Owl at the place where I fought Genichiro, how far through the game am I?

Pc also has it too from the enforced vsync, Don't you dare turn it off though because jesus christ it's the worst tearing I've ever fucking seen in my life

What are you trying to say retard? Sekiro is about a 45 hour game on first playthrough if you close to 100% it. It is longer than any Souls game or Bloodborne, except DS2.

So far I've only had the axe and shuriken add-on. Where are the others? I'm just beyond the armored warrior mini-boss -- did I miss any?

>literally replay value for 4 playthroughs at least
>HUURRRRRR MUH NO REPLAYABILITY ME AM RETARDED DURRRR
Dumb fucking niggers all over the board.
Also literally 99% of single player games are not worth replaying even ONCE. You should be fucking happy Sekiro has 4 story paths with varying bosses.

There's this dead-looking fuck covered in purple clothing inside a deep cave. What does he do?

How do you know when someone will die from dragonrot?
Can the dead be revived when you use a dragon's blood droplet with the recovery charm?

What are you on about? Sekiro has the best animations in action game history, they're insanely good.
No other game ever has bosses with animations as amazing as Sword Saint or Guardian Ape for example.

One is sold by the first merchant in Outskirts, one is in a hidden area at the back of the river in Hirata Estate

here's a quick tip:
go to forgotten dungeon and fight the ghost man

Are you fucking retarded? How could you forget where all the Idols are located? Just use any one of the Idols inside the castle, literally one or two floors away from Owl.

They'll never die from it, it just stops you from advancing their quest.

ichimonji is good imo, gives you a lot of posture back if you can get a firecracker off or something

It really depends on where you go first.
By this point you can have all of the prosthetics in the game

It's a common Japanese trope to have the enemies of the protagonist tower over them in an attempt to show they're not human and are monsters. It's not even a manlet thing, just look at Kenshiro who is 6 foot. While most if not all of his enemies are these 8 feet giants.

is he at Senpou?
If so, he's vital to the best ending of the game
hint: eat lots of rice

If you have the axe, than you missed flamethrower which was in the same area. There's also spear at Ashina Castle, you probably have the key already if you're at the knight. Return to where you first started the game and go into the house that you first snuck under. There is also feather in the memory which can be found from exploring the river before the bamboo idol.

No they don't. If you perfect parry, you get zero terror buildup. If you got terror buildup, you timed it wrong.

Around 3/4 if you break code, at the end if you don't

Like 70-80% depending on how much you want to explore the old areas

Felt the same way about Bloodborne. I thought they'd learned their lesson because ToH was much better about it, but they didn't have equipment to put there so there's not much to do about it. Like the other user said, at least there's prayer beads around.

Firethrower, fire pit in flash back, where you fight the wolves
Spear, the resevoir
Fan, graves, broken house down on the left
Firecrackers, raven shop keeper right after the first samurai boss, on a hill you scale from behind
I dont want to spoiler you, so thats that

The Okamis dont look like the fishpeople Mist Nobles... The Mist Nobles are humans turned into monsters, the Okami warriors are some kind of yokai tribe.

Yes and by rice you don't mean the one from the vial right? Or did I miss some edible consumable rice too?

Can someone tell me where to get these

Looks like I missed a lot. I'll back track when I arrive at the next buddha and give it a check. I was sure I looked everywhere before I moved on. Thanks

>Or did I miss some edible consumable rice too?
I mean the one you get from the little girl. If you haven't met the little girl you have to talk to Kuro more and find the mortal blade

Going into NG++ to mop up the last of the achievements and plat the game. I need to farm skill shit, where's the best place to do that? I need the entire Mushin page now, that's 35 skill points so I need a good place to grind out loads of exp after I reach end game.

If you don't know where to get rice from, you are more than likely not far enough. Btw you cannot progress from Senpou Temple Main Hall until you defeat the boss at the top of Ashina Castle.

>a normal enemy appears several times??!?!? WHAT THE FUCK, WHAT A GARBAGE GAME REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>you have to talk to Kuro more
Isn't the whole point to rescue Kuro? I haven't actually saved him yet.

They do have the same colour of skin and long necks though, only their faces are covered.

>normal enemy

Yesterday night I went to sleep disappointed in myself for not beating Owl2 after 6 hours.
I woke up today and beat him in less than 20 minutes.

Shit feels good.

Attached: FFFFYes.png (500x373, 185K)

But you find lots of prayer beads and some other permanent use items though

I'd want more weapons in a sequel, the moveset you have with your sword isn't crazy huge despite having no other options. The problem I could see with spears probably being too good when you have range on bosses, and also can build posture from a distance, while also probably having a good cleave attack for multiple enemies.

As far armor, I really do think there is a way to incorporate them without stats. Something like traits, increased dodge distance but the negative trait would be takes increased posture damage.

Are you honestly defending Fromsoft reusing bosses multiple times?

>image
Does sekiro have any berserk references?

He doesn't even do that much damage. Puppet is just there to juggle aggro.

Yet it is explained by an NPC that the Mist Nobles used to be human. The Mist Nobles are not Okami.
Yeah all the minibosses are, some more than others.

At the end of the game, you can farm 5 guys at the Ashina Outskirts Stairway. I remember farming 30 thousand skill points in 6 minutes from stealth killing the five guys near there. (1) Kill guy in nearby tower. (2) Drop down behind tower and kill guy underneath it. (3) Kill guy guarding the gate straight ahead. (4+5) Stealth kill either of the two walking up staircase. I usually preferred taking out the dual blades guy and then the cannon man. If you kill cannon man first though, you can just charged axe the dual blade guy for full posture damage.

Voice actor is Guts's VA.
Juzou isn't a boss retard. There is nothing to defend, because there is nothing wrong with having multiples of the same enemy.

is it normal that I have no clue about anything in the story aside from the dragon heritage stuff

mandatory recycled geni fight before final isshin is just fucking annoying.

>in NG+
>basically positive I killed all mini bosses in first run
>3/4 beads
fuck, are there any beads in the second time you go to Hirata? I missed that first run

the coins floating and flying into your head kinda kills it for me.

why yes user it's a From game it's supposed be le deep and mysterious :))

>never respawns
>normal enemy
You're the retard. Take From's cock out of your mouth.

Did you get the one behind the ninja wall near the sitting samurai in the castle? That's what I was missing.

I believe that, is just that Okami warrior's faces aren't shown, so since the nobles have a similarly coloured skin and necks it is safe to assume they'd look similar if unmasked. The "dogs" in the area also have the same weird type of face.

by the time I beat Isshin Genichiro was barely stopping me, stay aggressive and he goes down so quick

The visual effect is pretty shitty but I like the succ approach to looting instead of having to go from corpse to corpse picking up items.

twitch.tv/moshf/clip/ThirstyCredulousPlumKreygasm

>just don't call it a boss so we can reuse him
epic

In the second Hirate estate visit, there are two minibosses, only two pearls. Some easy to miss ones are the hidden wall ones, the one atop the statue at poison pool, another blue robed miniboss in the end game under where Isshin usually rested. One in the Gun fort following the path in the hole near the statue shrine.

yeah I actually got that first run through blind, I heard there is a bead in Mibu village but I can’t imagine I missed it, it’s right before the corrupted monk fight where that guy you give the fountainhead waters to is?

In that case; go to ashina castle and head to the roofs more

It's in the attic of that building. You have to leave through the hole in the wall then turn around and grapple up.

Fucking lol. After all the dialogue with kuro, owl pops in and makes a selfish one liner of wanting to take the blood for himself, you decide to side with him and are surprised you get the bad ending? At least you made me chuckle

is there more than one in a hidden wall? I got the other ones you mentioned

There's one in Hirata estate too, in the building you fight the boss in.

fuuuuuck how did I miss that, well I’m up to Genichiro in Ng+ so I guess I can grab it soon

i had pretty much the same experience with isshin

his spear phase is so fucking exhausting to play through

that’s the only one I found in a hidden wall, I think I only found like four hidden walls in the whole game and that was the only one that led to treasure

He hit him for 100% posture and then did a deathblow. The game is hacked.

Sekiro is already one of my favorite games of all times but the faggots not acknowledging boss RNG luck are cancer. I don't know why fromfags always do this shit.

Did Reddit just do a wave ban or something? What's with all the trip fags

You said you got the one in Ashina as well.

kek

Can you kill the snake in the cave with the monkey you have to puppet?

Not an argument, faggot.
KH3 is better than this piss easy baby game.

Of all the fucking possible critiques, you choose to complain about reusing minibosses. Something that a lot of video games fucking already did and still do. Let me let you in on this, seeing an early tough enemy again later in the game helps establish how much stronger you've gotten since then. You could choose to complain about the (for the most part) bland music, some of the (actual not meme ogre) fucked hitboxes, or even how easy it is to get lost in the game. But no
>t-they reuse boss
>you suck the p-penis
I don't even think the game is a 9/10 but your still going to call me a from drone. Guess what, you reuse the same arguments so I suppose you must be sucking your own cock.

Boss RNG luck exist for literally every action game. Not all boss moves are made equal. Sekiro does have okay boss/enemy move balance compare to other from games and action games. If you look at soulborne series, DS2 has probably the worst discrepancy among moveset and move rng play the biggest factor

Near the two samurai sitting down inside after you climb in through the window.

all of those enemies like headless and the shichimen warrior that need divine confetti in order for the fight to not turn into some 30 minute boring fight of endurance is pretty shitty. towards the end of the game i've kept running into those guys and since I had no confetti I had to go grind for more, it felt tedious. pretty good game overall though

Attached: 1553801041900.jpg (900x540, 51K)

There is a hidden wall at the top of Ashina Castle near the antechamber. There is a room where two blue robed samurai are sitting down. On the far wall from them, there are two samurai suits, between those two a banner, hug the banner.

there a bead behind that wall.

So is there anything missable for sending/not sending someone to the abandoned dungeon?

This is one of the best critiques in this thread. If you don't have any divine confetti in the early game or run out, you have to farm for them and they have a very abysmal drop rate.

Guys, what is the sakura droplet for?
I noticed you can give it to the miko or the false miko
What happens when you give it or should I keep it?

Attached: 1500746605883.jpg (500x283, 48K)

You miss some upgrade materials if you choose not to. I think somewhere around three.

OST sucked
Setting doesn't interest me
Gameplay has confused identity, main game encourages stealth and strategy but bosses turn to Souls - esque fights. Which either turns into be as aggressive as possible and deflect when required or utilize gimmicks like prosthetics or lightning counter.
Difficulty comes from being oneshotted by everything, so you generally die when exposed to a new enemy or attack. (Admittingly I played with the Demon Seed active my playthrough)
The World is incredibly small.
Gun Fort being locked ruins the already limited replayabilit
No build variety
Best boss locked behind ending that losses 30% of the games content.
Easiest Souls game to get all achievements

Its a 7/10 for me personally, but could absolutely be improved on in a lot of areas

Attached: sekiro-24-1534764186.jpg (1920x1080, 442K)

-Run towards him and get below him
-Block when he tries to stomp, sidestep if he tries to hit you with his flame arm
-Jump behind him if he charges
-Fire Umbrella for his bodyslam.
-Make sure to always stay close, if he gets away and you don't think you'll get below him before he casts a fire spell put up the umbrella again

It's the most Soulsy type of boss in the game, it requires some patience but it's not that hard.

Giving the droplet gives you another resurrection node. Doesn't matter who you give it to.

>IT WAS ORIGINALLY A TENCHU GAME!
Imagine being this fucking stupid

mother fucker, thanks. how many prayer bead necklaces is max?

So you don't necessarily lose out on anything but side story if you do send one of the two?

Its already beem stated on record numerous times to be the truth.

10

Should you give or keep it? does it affect ending or something?

what the fuck so now I have nine, I’m missing one in Mibu village, I didn’t realize so many were hidden in the world I don’t know how I missed them

The confused identity thing is what really killed it for me. For what it's worth, with all the people complaining about stealth, that's actually my favorite part of the game. Figuring out strategic ways to take down groups of enemies, knowing that one fuck up won't be an instant failure but that I'll have to fight my way out of it. But then there's only one boss that's really a "stealth" boss, the rest just feels like Souls except instead of R1 spam with occasional dodge it's L1 spam with occasional jump/Mikiri.

It's true.

Basically. Really up to you which you do.
Doesn't effect endings at all. Just an upgrade for going through the estate entirely.

Best place to make money? I want to upgrade my arm

You got the two from the second hirata visit right? Maybe you missed the second ogre at the base of Ashina Castle from the antechamber? Did you return to poison pool idol and fight that boss, they give two beads. Some minibosses can be missed after certain points in the game.

How far in game?

I missed the second trip to Hirata I’m doing NG+ now for that ending, I got the ogre in the castle, poison pool boss meaning 2 apes? I never saw one there after snake eyes

I beat his dad

>smoke bombs
>he doesn't know

well fountainhead is soon and that’s the best as far as I can tell, otherwise just gun fort backstab fun times

There's a hidden Headless somewhere in Ashina Castle as well.

It's not a smoke bomb, it's magically aerated blood mist
If you do it on a poison lizard it makes a poison fog, fun fact
also watch his spirit emblems as he does it, he couldn't have even done the last one if he didn't get lucky with one spawning from a kill

Okay then, on the second trip you can get two beads. I have no clue where the last one could be then. I don't think there is a list of minibosses yet. There are two centipede giraffe minibosses. Ah right, I remember forgetting about the miniboss at the great serpent shrine. It happens after Owl's first fight but before the divine dragon.

the one underwater? because I got that one

Early in the game, activate the demon bell then Shugendo idol in Senpou, graple to where the monks are and stealth kill them, you will have to fight two or three a couple times so it's best to stealth kills the ones wielding staffs, running downhill if you pop a money ball you'll make like 700 sen everytime.

If you can already go to Fountainhead Palace just farm there, nobles die in two hits and the warriors stagger if you poison them with Sabimaru.

I don't know where to go anymore

Headless do not give any beads. They do give unique permacandies that require emblems instead.

the assasin I got, same with the one in the dojo. Two centipede giraffe? Meaning the one in Senpou and the one at gun fort? Because I got both of those, I feel like it has to be one out in the environment I missed

It's the environment. That's how i can justify quitting mid playthrough. I've been to 75% of the areas but only fought like 2 bosses. The setting doesn't do it for me. The same thing was true with Nioh. It's a little bland and repetitive in feudal Japan. Boss battles and sword fighting is really intense

They all kinda suck. Double Ichimonji is good for punish windows in boss fights since it both does good posture damage and refills yours but that's basically it. Everything else is not really any better than just normal attacks

I think you can probably find a list of all the beads in the game by now. Try looking through this list:
gamewith.net/sekiro/article/show/8520

Made a save of the game file so I could reload it to get the multiple endings. I quite enjoy the game, I am just not too enthusiastic about playing it all the way through several times for one selection right at the ass end.

I even double checked to make sure the file replacement worked and everything.

It didn't work after I beat the final boss, and I started with the Shura ending.

Lapis Lazuli requires any ending beyond that one to get all Lapis items.

I am rather fucking upset if I am being honest.

I just beat the lightning boss and Emma moved to the top of the tower and wont let me give her the gourd seed to upgrade my estus. how do I get it upgraded or is it the point of no return?

After the apes you can go back there at some point to fight another boss. I'm not sure when it activates and I don't think it drops a prayer bead, just the Malcontent's Ring, but it's worth a shot.

You can still upgrade it, Are you sure you have a gourd seed? Try resting or leaving the area and coming back. For the rest of the game she'll be in the tower. The point of no return to watch out for is getting the tears.

ginichiro? that shouldn’t effect it maybe just rest or leave the area

oh yeah I got that guy too because I have that finger prosthetic upgrade, forgot to use it on DoH, that wasn’t it either, guess I’ll have to look through a list thanks anyway

I did this in my own play through and felt like a god damn genius

Malcontent's ring drops from a ghost warrior who spawns at the the same area. It requires that you buy the valley apparition memo from the merchant dilapidated temple.

I understand what leaving Kuro's Charm does but did it really need to apply to the Umbrella? The tool gets made entirely worthless

yeah hes rough, only took me an hour or so though, hardest part is dealing with the phase 2 teleporting bullshit which makes it hard to punish him

>consume entire resource pool
>complain when consuming the entire resource pool trivializes a pack of enemies
I wonder why?

Attached: 1553141661601.jpg (617x630, 49K)

yes, i made the mistake of fighting genchiro first. hardest boss from any souls game so far for me. could have really used the dps boost from butterfly, who I downed in two tries, vs 50+ for genchiro.

Lady Butterfly is a borderline tutorial boss unless if you don't have the charm with you

The Owl is dead.
Disregard parents, protecc shotas and lolis.

>requires the memo from the information dealer
is that true? I don’t remember ever buying that but I killed the Shichiman warrior or whatever it’s name is

Why is this locked still?

Attached: 20190329224128_1.jpg (2560x1440, 816K)

Mist uses up way to much shire things so very few people use it at all.

There are plenty of better techniques that cost less and are more effective

You need Mortal Blade.

I checked to make sure and I do in fact have a gourd seed and also left the area and came back and she still wouldn't let me. She just says "My lord is not in this castle keep" etc

Ohhhh right im in ng+ and dont have it yet.

Attached: 006_1483780304.jpg (502x579, 149K)

You need to have the mortal blade to begin with. You lose it in ng+ for obvious reasons.
If that's the case, I wasted about 600 sen for the memo, not that it matters since I eventually got bored and started throwing money at every enemy I could.

I fought him earlier today on my NG+ file, he absolutely does work the same way, at least with mikiri which is what I use. I have no idea what you're talking about

Sometimes you just need some rest, I had been playing all day long and was fatigued once I got to monkey, tried many times but he just buttblasted me, the next day I got him on two tries, then went to blightown and killed 2monkey in like 3 tries.

Attached: dishi.jpg (1297x823, 419K)

You might have to speak to Isshin first. He is found in the building around where you first fought right before the Horseman.

You have to go talk to Isshin first

This is what fucks me over the most. It's like he has negative poise, because sometimes I barely even notice that I got hit and suddenly he just can't deflect anymore.

oh I thought that would trigger the final boss or something since I got spoiled

Did you get the everblossom flower and the frozen dragon tears?

One of them has a bead next to it on the ground iirc
Don't remember which though

FUCK THE CAMERA ON THIS BOSS FUCK IT FUCK IT FUCK IT FUCK LOSING FOCUS AND HAVE THE ASS SHIT FACING THE ROOF WHILE I'M PLAYING GUESSING GAMES WITH GODDAMN ASSHOLE KICKFAGGOT

>whinging about minibosses

Attached: e1qk10w.png (960x955, 715K)

Thanks anons
I finally did it

>you can only equip one combat art
it's like they want the combat to be shit and boring.

all combat arts are trash so it isn't even like that matters

The yourdickboss is potentially cool you mong, it's the fucking camera going everywhere in the close space that I'm raging about. He's got you in the ropes quite often and then it's not the game that it's supposed to be when you can't see shit.

Good on you user. A good piece of advice I forgot to tell you is that if you feel like you are doing worse after time, relax and take a break. A lot of people agree that after stopping, taking an extended break, and coming back later, they finish whatever fight stopped them.

Literally what I did to beat the following boss, took a two day break and beat him without dying/drinking once

What is the most difficult boss in the game?

The camera

SIMON
SAYS

>Autists will complain about backstabbing in a ninja game

how you get that skill list?

End game skill list, after obtaining the tears, speak to Emma who will be right next to you then anyway.

umbrella still has a deflect, it's more lenient than regular sword deflecting

Sekiro looks like guts with the white hair and the arm, but that's all I can think of this user is wrong about the VA

Any DLC predictions, I think tomoe is a good bet for a character that will be expanded upon since she is alluded too multiple times and is said to be on par with Isshin

The three shotgun dudes at gunfort have been my grinding spot for mid game. With bloodsmoke on the first guy you can stealth everyone and make around 80 sen per shotgun man with a mibu balloon, and they're pretty close together next to the idol.

smoke bomb, blood mist, it's the same shit you retards

I don't know how unfitting for the setting it would be but I'd like to fight Dogen or his creations.

Memory of Isshin's coup.

Honestly I will say it far too short, after the first playthrough you can literally zoom through the game again with zero effort as it seems NG+ doesn't add any harder difficulty unless you want chip damage which isn't really much of a change. I had to do the Shura ending on NG3 and decide since I had maxed everything but skill points I'd just zoom my way through like sonic and it took between 2 and 3 hours

Oh and also the fact that the game literally never teaches you that almost every enemy that doesn't have some jump move will allow you to attack twice, the second hit giving sparks and then start to counter attack. Wish I knew that the first go around it made everything a god damn joke, even sword saint

Are you on PC? How did you fuck it up if so? You can literally just copy the Sekiro folder and put it on your desktop/a new folder right before the major choice then just swap them out after

>mfw using the puppet ninjutsu to operate the kite so I can cross the chasm and then realizing that it was a completely UTTERLY pointless """shortcut""" that leads to an unsurvivable fall.

It's literally harder to access that shit than it is to use the Gun Fort Key to get in the normal way and that's assuming there's something I'm missing about this shit that lets you survive the fall down from that wooden beam,

Attached: 04-5.jpg (546x416, 44K)

come back later

Why should I come back later? There's no need to come back later. I already have a different path into that area via the Gun Fort key. The bridge I was trying to jump down to? I don't need to jump down. I just go through the main route in.

Why make me solve a puzzle to open a worthless shortcut that's only available after you're able to get in a different way?

i think the fact that there are stealth elements on top of the sword battles, japanese setting, real world references to the era, and other obvious shit makes it a ninja game.

why are people obsessed with disqualifying this game based on random bullshit? "its not a ninja game" what does that even mean?

literally and quite unironically the easiest miniboss in the entire game. you faggots actually struggled with pressing the right mouse button at the right time?

Because if you go later there will be a snake that you can kill there to get his hard for the true ending.

>rams fist up your ass, pulls your shit out, rams it into his own ass
what the FUCK did they mean by this

Attached: hedless.jpg (1214x933, 761K)

you mean 3 times

hes literally so FUCKING EASY. the last boss has 4 dots of health.

you dont get kura's charm after a shura ending you fucking liar

Grr I'm so mad that some faggot said a thing I disagree with

So basically, what From did was create the most unique and fresh take on souls-likes and rejuvenate the genre while expand their brand?

you're right, dont ever come back, theres nothing there at all except a long fall. yup

You're a fucking moron. The point is they hid it behind a puzzle and didn't even drop me a bag of coins as a reward. That's not okay.

cry about it fag

Everyone talks big shit on Pinwheel when the reality is that every faggot fights Pinwheel far, far, far overleveled. It's like hitting Soul Level 120 before fighting Gargoyles and talking shit about how easy they are.

wew

>Nuanced Stealth Mechanics
>Stealth Kills
>Several minibosses and bosses designed to be stealth-attacked and beaten with superior mobility and ninja tools
>Game takes place in Japan, you play as a literal ninja

>Not a stealth game
Just because it's not some boring shit like Syphon Filter doesn't mean it's not a stealth game.

Also
>Action Oriented Souls Game
So Bloodborne?

You're such a fucking pleb.

Quality > Quantity and Sekiro has the best bosses in the series aside from the stupid monkeys and the dragon.

well it doesn't help that the catacombs are tougher than he is

I think Fromsoft imagined that people would co-op the Catacombs more or something.

>what the FUCK did they mean by this
he's removing your shirikodama. in old jap myth, the seat of the soul, or shirikodama, was inside the anus.

>the game doesn't break out the coloring book and crayons, why is it so cryptic
the absolute state of zoomer gamers

Not worth using is what.

I honestly wonder where they got that idea

there is a mythical creature, the Kappa, which reaches into the anus to steal the shirikodama while someone is swimming. probably based on that.

Absolutely not. It's 20-25 hours, 30 at most if you meander around like a goober. If it takes you longer than that that on an initial playthrough then there's something wrong with you.

She was literally my first boss.
