I was the one who recorded that. This video was cherry picked after about an hour of flipping while the game was running well below 60 fps because I had never recorded anything and I didn't know what I was doing. My carpet is still perfectly clean with no nausea at all, but I would suggest for OP to build up immunity before giving it a try.

I noticed that Rec Room, Assetto Corsa and Creed aren't on this list. I'll vouch for all three being great games (and Rec Room is free, so give it a shot)
in terms of shooters, Contractors is the more dead of the three. Pavlov would be your best first buy with Onward being a good buy when you feel the need for something different
Vox Machinae is also completely dead so I wouldn't recommend it

Classic FPS games are really boring to play in VR as you just stand and point at things and they otherwise control the same as on desktops. Cover-based pseudo-milsim games where you play more with your hands and body are better for the medium.

Most VR games use the controllers in a way where they wouldn't work without VR. As an easy example, the typical VR shooter would not work since it would take nine mice to control it. You could make a non-VR version of the same game, but in my opinion, the game should be defined by its game play rather than its story and visuals. Without the game play, you may as well say that watching a video is the same as playing it.
