ecelebs go in

Games are allowed to not appeal to everyone

It's not even that hard.
Sure it has a steep learning curve but once you play for few hours you get it.

Twitter screencaps should be a bannable offense.

Thats' reasonable. At least he didn't completely shit on it and accepted reality,

h-he's right...

it's not hard enough

>Sekiro comes out
>Initial Yea Forums reaction is heavily negative
>reaction turns around, tone of threads shift towards implying that people who don't like it are just butthurt they're getting pushed in
>seeing constant posts of angry butthurt journalists and straight up crestfallen types like in the OP
this game seems based, can't wait to play it

Every game, even from games, should have atleast 2 difficulties.
>1. game journalist
>2. not retarded
In the case of sekiro, "game journalist" difficulty should add infinite resurrections and enemies deal 80% less damage.

Okay fags, how hard is it in relation to BB? If it's similar to that then this reaction is hilarious.

BB has step dodging which makes you almost invincible, Sekiro is a lot less forgiving with dodging.

I guess I can at least respect the fact that he admits he's just shit instead of crying about how the game is anti-inclusive for not having an easy mode for the disabled

Attached: 432945667.jpg (348x235, 22K)

BB’s hardest fights are comparable to Sekiro’s hardest fights. On average Sekiro is more difficult due to the way combat works

It's very lenient but harder than Bloodbourne in my opinion, it's definitely more complex since it has more action game concepts than just dodge.

It covers two gameplay types.
>stealth ninja shit
>action samurai shit
You can take care of most trash stealthily, but as you progress through the game, the trash becomes increasingly more difficult and more like mini-bosses themselves, so playing stealthily is even more rewarding.

In terms of the actual boss fights, there's a shit ton of them and you have to adapt your playstyle differently to each one. You have to know when to dodge to the side, jump dodge, parry, and attack, and it largely varies for each boss. You can't pussyfoot like in Souls games where you dodge, attack, run away and repeat. You have to be aggressive for a good majority of them, or you're going to get nowhere until you inevitably fuck up and die.

Real answers

Shill

Unlike Bloodborne/souls this one is just a 100% action game that isn't about about shooting shit so of course the western """journalist""" doesn't understand it at all., at least the OP pic is self-aware.

None of these games are actually hard.
They just require patience and learning enemies move sets.
People have just become too accustomed to being babied and having their hands held by poor game design choices in video games that are designed to appeal to an audience who simply aren't interested in video games.

cringe

I'm not sure if its just that I'm so used to the formula by now or just the new mechanics, but this has been the easiest FromSoft game thus far, as far as I can tell.

>how hard is it in relation to BB
you can't just sit back and iframe through attacks to chip away at a health bar.

Come up with some better material, shill.

What are iframes?

Define "actually hard" before you claim something isn't it

Either From is already paying you or they never will

Either way stop sucking dick faggot

The worst part of the game for me are the mini bosses that have a million grunts and you have to cheese them out with stealth.

this knocks out some of the template replies, and other annoying stuff

I don't know if this is sarcasm but it's true, not every game needs to fuckin appeal to everyone. If you can't beat the fuckin game cuz it's hard and you don't enjoy a challenge, don't play a game notoriously difficult. Fuckin morons everywhere nowadays.
It's cool he can acknowledge it's a good game even though it's not his cup of tea

He later elaborates in a podcast that he doesn't like the game design and that it's difficult for no real reason other than to waste people's time; even suggested that there should be difficulty modes.

Parring doesn't give you i-frames and don't put you behind the boss. You have to do it consistently and consecutively for most fights, fighting multiple enemies is much harder.

>waste people's time
Wait, was I supposed to not waste my time when playing a vidya??

God no, it's very serious and important... stuff. That I work with.

>None of these games are actually hard.
>They just require the player to be skilled

There is no such thing as too hard. Difficulty is always a personal problem.

Attached: the easy mode audience.png (614x410, 46K)

That's a reasonable opinion.

>fair enough
at least he accepts it though right? better than another person making a 30 minute video or some article or some shit about how all games need an easy mode for the 2394820938th time.

When the challenge stops being enjoyable and starts being frustrating, that's when "too hard" has happened. When I don't feel like trying again, I turn the game off and go play something else.

The problem is, that point is different for everyone.

idgi
are they implying that groping someone is difficult
sounds rapey

Bigot

found the shitter

Do you know that people can touch boobs consensually?

Shit. I'm completely stuck.

Can't progress in Ashina Castle with Genichiro killing me.

Can't progress in Senpou Temple with the Armored Warrior killing me.

Can't upgrade my Vitality and Posture with Ashina Elite Jinsuke and the Hichimen Warrior killing me and keeping me from those sweet, sweet Prayer Beads.

For the first time in the game, I am completely at a loss. I genuinely don't know what to do. I can't remember the last time a game made me feel so powerless.

Its a bad analogy between watching porno and watching gameplay of something you can't/won't play. Like for people who feel a game is too hard and want an easy mode selection to experience the game without the difficulty, the argument is that instead of complaining about lack of easy mode or "accesibility" you can just watch someone play the game on youtube or twitch because you still get to "experience" whatever else the game has to offer. However person in this tweet is saying that its not the same and uses a bad analogy

>reddit spacing
>so shit he's stuck on the easiest bosses
Locate the nearest noose and end yourself.

Of course I'm shit. I'm a mediocre Souls player at best. I didn't realize separate paragraphs were something only Reddit did.

Fight gen until you get good.

Jabba The Cuck is probably going to give it a 1/10 while he gives Depression Quest or Revolution 60 a 10/10.

user... ashina elite jinsuke is literally a 10 second fight. if you can't beat him or genichiro then I'm sorry but you're never finishing the game. the later bosses are like night and day compared to what youre fighting now

Well, shit. I was afraid you would say that.

You might want to invest in a fucking book, holy shit. How have you made it this far without seeing one before, what even are you?

Those aren't paragraphs.

I don't think Sekiro is too hard. I think the difficulty is poorly balanced. It's like meat boy shit. Worst was that Centipede Giraffe thing. The game puts a checkpoint 5 seconds from the boss arena, then shoves you in a tiny enclosed space with a boss who spams combos that you don't know how to time parries for.
So then you die over and over again, but the checkpoint is so close that even if he kills you 20 times, it takes maybe 15 minutes to beat him.

I prefer games where you have to maintain a consistent level of play over a length of time or risk losing significant progress, not this "everything is ballsmashingly hard, but you get constant checkpoints".
The game would be better if the combat was easier, but the checkpoints were less generous.

>Shit. I'm completely stuck.
>Can't progress in Ashina Castle with Genichiro killing me.
Two very interesting paragraphs.

He can't use his crutches. No summoning help. No overlevelling. No getting a powerful weapon near the start of the game. No nothing. This game is the ultimate scrub filter, I fucking love, love, love it.

People who complain about the difficulty are weebs that want to play the new "JAPANESE BIDEOGĒMU SUGOI".
I'm really glad they're not getting past the first boss and have to resort to let's plays.

they tried asking for easy in DS3 now they are demanding it

yes
im very certain this is a poor analogy, which is what im pointing out

when it's unbeatable for more than 10 years, everything else is piss easy.

I look forward to Yahtzee's whining considering he played DMCV on easy.

oh whoops. yeah nvm. fuck this guy too.

>I demand that you show me respect by making things easy for me.
That's called "patronizing". It's the exact opposite of respect.

Isn’t this fucking fat faggot an anti-capitalist sjw Bernie fag? Under his rule He’d have to share his burgers with the rest of the leaches and something tells me he wouldn’t like that.

I beat him 2nd try just downing some posture sugar and spamming the parry button non-stop.
I agree though, the game is very spiky in its difficulty. I really miss the exploration from DaS. Actual rewards. A time-investment. Press on or go back, no warping. Sparse(missable, even) checkpoints and some fucking tension when you run out of estus. All of that's just gone, for slightly more intricate fights. Not worth it, to me.

>baka I guess you just don't want others to have fun, I guess that's a fine opinion *shrug* but I think about the disabled because I'm such a great person, I guess you just hate disabled people desu

The weird thing is that all these game journos tend to shit on games that don't checkpoint constantly, but praise "splatformers" that kill you a hundred times per 10 second level. Sekiro is closer to that design style, but they hate it more than Dark Souls.

Honestly I think it's just posturing. Tons of people who bitched about Demon's Souls being too hard in 2009 turned around and became "huge Dark Souls fans" when popular opinion started calling the game a masterpiece. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens with Sekiro.
