Doing great!
How do you even get started? Who the hell's gonna click on a video with 0 views? I uploaded a video (vaguely game related) and the only views are from myself
m.youtube.com
It's about a minute and a half long
Who the hell's gonna click on a ten minute gameplay highlight video with no views that isn't Fortnite?
your """"""video""""""" is dogshit. It's just images with shit editing and boring music. No wonder nobody gives a fuck.
Post that channel, user.
I have 15 that are mostly from a justinrpg reading I did like 7 years ago. I never really shill my garbage because I mostly just like to read autistic shit as a hobby but I just started making shit again.
Yeah that video was pretty bare. I don't put effort in editing either but that could use more soul
>Don't you wanna be famous gamers?
Why would I ever want that?
>steven universe in liked videos
disgusting
go learn final cut and after effects. Make videos that you enjoy, not that others might enjoy. Viewers will automaticly come. Don't make videos for others make videos for yourself. As a hobby. And use youtube as a platform to just dump your work.
I never said it was great, it was just something I toyed around with and felt it was decent enough to upload, maybe a few people would like it. What can I do to improve it?
poorfag here, are those free
>Be me.
>Have idea for channel.
>No plans to make it your livelihood. Keep it as a side thing.
>Sit on the idea until you get your shit together.
>Very niche idea, unlikely to go viral, but might attract a small following.
>Even if not, plan doing it anyway, because you think it's a cool idea, and scratches that creativity itch.
>Not relying on it for income means no pressure to make the idea more marketable.
Still working on getting my shit together, but it's going to be a good time. Eventually.
>tfw 50 subscribers
I'm going to be famous bros...
Same idea here
I always wanted to chill, more slow paced channel kind of Cr1tikal's early stuff (with less cringy toilet humor obviously) and just play whatever I wanted to without having to worry about marketing to little kids who like Fortnite
I'm a brainlet that just does minimalistic slideshow editing too but it's mostly for dramatic readings and shit. Just uploaded one where Ted Cruz gets fucked by Big the Cat. youtube.com
>got some friends to shill for me for my first video
>got like 350 views
>second video barely broke 100
>30 subscribers
>been 5 days since my last video and I'm still writing my script
I hate feeling so pressured but at the same tie I hate not working on a video
disliked
In a way, I sort of feel for the successful channels that kinda HAVE to do the wacky-sproing-wahey humor that the kids are into, and do the stupid shitty clickbaity thumbnails. Some of them probably don't WANT to do that shit, but kinda have to for the sake of their bottom lines. Hence my desire to only pursue the thing as a side project.
thanks
I have a meme channel that somehow has 141 subscribers but I want to start a "serious" one, more for my own amusement than anything else. I really like people like Ross Scott or Grimbeard who cover obscure and weird games, and was thinking of doing a similar thing but for old GoldSrc and Source mods, possibly branching out into other obscure shit later. They wouldn't be reviews in the traditional sense, just edited playthroughs with some observations about what I think is interesting and a few jokes here and there.
I have no idea if there's an audience for this kind of thing, but I'm probably going to go through with it just for the sake of documenting some weird old mods before they vanish from the internet or Valve breaks them completely.
>script
So fucking sick of these video essay cucks ruining youtube. No, nobody with a brain wants to watch an hour long video where you talk about why you really REALLY hate that one game. Choke on your mic and die fucko
>edited playthroughs with some jokes
Sounds like some of Dunkey's shit so it could work. I would just keep it all on the same channel though.
Nice fucking assumptions there you cum-guzzling dick wart.
It's a video guide for newcomers to a series, think of a gamefaqs guide but in video form and without spoilers.
I don't plan on making videos longer than 17 minutes
Not everyone who wants to keep a video consisten and structured is a cunt with an opinion who wants to complain for 3 hours
Speak for yourself. I love long form videos.
I still have like 200 subs from when I used to upload game trailers and episodes of the Super Mario World show like 12 years ago. Dunno why they're still there I figure most of the accounts are inactive. Also DiC apparently claimed those videos awhile ago and I had no idea so I guess I'm the official Mario World channel now.
People will watch anything if it's executed well enough, imo.
>on youtube from 2007-2015 making lets plays/low commentary density walkthroughs
>get maybe 2000 subscribers in that entire period
>Earning a couple hundred dollars a month on a good month
>move to twitch in the middle of 2014
>instant partnership because of youtube backing
>manage to snag a couple subscribers that carried over from youtube
>start making over $300 a month easily, just through twitch ad/sub revenue, donations compounded atop that left me sitting above $500 most months
jesus, what a fucking mistake youtube was.
>tfw 15 subs but one of my videos has 10k views
Happens when you accidentally make a video that resonates with a fanbase, don't expect to get another video that well-viewed
Jerma, is that you?
actually I made that one video on a whim and didn't check back on the channel for a few years
