SH, RE and MGS dropped the ball with "the fifth installment"

>DMC did it perfectly
How did this happen

All four of these series have had more than 5 games before #5 came out. "The fifth installment" is just a marketing buzzword.

By first having a stealth 5th title taking all the heat

So did DMC

Thank you based Donte

Hence why I said "all four" rather than "all three".

I guess DmC was good for something

Re5 was great, only friendless Yea Forumsirgins think otherwise

Resident Evil 5 was pretty good. The problem was 6 didn't need to be more of 5.

Resi 5 is a great coop action.

love and care for the series

plus DMC5 wanted to win the fans back after DmC

Looking back it seems insanely obvious to me that DmC was just a New Coke style fall-guy.

because it dropped the ball on the 2nd, but rebounded with 3

A New Coke that spanned every franchise and nearly tanked Capcom?

I liked mgs 5 and re 5

>spanned every franchise
Wot?

>metal gear(1)
>Metal gear 2 solid snake(2)
>metal gear solid(3)
>Metal gear solid 2(4)
>Metal gear solid3 (5)

5th game is reggarded as the best one though

nah, Inafune convinced the higher-ups at Capcom that they needed to outsource their IPs to western devs, this is why all around the same time we got dead rising being developed by Blue Castle, lost planet taken over by Spark Unlimited, and DmC by Ninja Theory

this is the same Inafune who went on to make Mighty Number 9, and with all this in retrospect, he was such a dumb cunt that he nearly killed Capcom, and as soon as he set out on his own and released MN9 people saw just how full of shit he was, and now his name is worthless

5 was shit.
