Not only is that stupid on a corporate level, but it's also numerically silly as the PS4 isn't making more than the mobile division is bleeding. What is the thinking here?
Either they are expecting a breakthrough in technology or they are going to axe dead weight.

>it is now literally impossible to have a discussion about a game companies economic moves without it turning into shitposting general
Jason Williams
Because at this point they only attract literally insane shitposters that have to compulsively enter and shit up every thread they see or people hoping that this time things will be different.
Jonathan Cooper
>youtube.com/watch?v=MtLcE9dHhiE Shit like this just dropped a few days ago user. What exactly are you expecting to come from this?
See YouTube link.
Asher Garcia
>used to be one of the bissest companies in the world >were known for their industry leading high tech, high quality TVs and music players >are now a a corporation known for making childrens toys
Can you imagine if this happened to Microsoft or Apple.
>Apple Aren't their phones and tablets exclusively bought by normalfags and underage though?

Every iteration of iphone that releases introduces new cellphone/camera tech that other companies copy
Aaron Nguyen
Sony went full Jew on their prices while other competitors continued to catch up and offer better prices. Not to mention their movie division is an absolute disaster.

And people who want the worst experience. Cant even download bootleg mp3s on one.. who the fuck pays for that
Jaxson Morales
I think they have a lot of redundancies that they can streamline with vertical integration. >Can you imagine if this happened to Apple yes?
Luis Perry
>Cant even download bootleg mp3s Are you retarded?
Thomas Gomez
Isnt the X just a failed ripoff of the S8 though?
Carter Barnes
its more the koreans just flatout surpassed them at disply technology by a wide margin, and they never made the transition from CD player to MP3 player to smartphone gracefully.
Connor Morgan
>Android police >Incelgaf will eat this info up because its anti-sony even though they know NOTHING about this. LMAO

>Discussion >On Yea Forums
Yeah, there is your problem
Robert Gray
And what does this change?
Nolan Rogers
>Start to make God Tier TVs again >Still don't get rid of Mobile division dragging the whole thing down >New CEO is just Howard Stringer again after Kaz was Stringer 2.0 but since he did video games people loved him As long as the company remains incestuous they are never gonna be the powerhouse they used to be >they never made the transition from CD player to MP3 player to smartphone gracefully. Mostly thanks to their music division going full retard and thinking internet piracy would kill the music industry. They even had a Walkman MP3 player designed by the Walkman/Discman team ready till it was killed and they were forced to push Mini-Disc instead
Charles Lewis
lol Apple is getting fucked sideways by Huawei. Yes I can imagine
Alexander Perry
The TV market is oversaturated these days. Sony's main problem back in the the early 2000 was exactly their unreasonable pricing. That certainly backfired them in the ass.
David Fisher
>The TV market is oversaturated these days True but Sony took the right approach in cutting back on the amount of models they were making and just made one core quality line with best in class HDR. Bravia X series is GOAT and hits an amazing price/features setting without going overkill like Samsung. Perfect gaming TV's >Sony's main problem back in the the early 2000 was exactly their unreasonable pricing. That certainly backfired them in the ass. I'll give you that. They didn't have the insane quality for low prices the Koreans did while their flat panels sucked and were still too expensive once they started getting into widespread adoptation
Logan Evans
>Mini-Disc God that was a weird little point in time.
Zachary Morgan
Let's all remember that Sony's movie division got one good and profitable movie in the last few years, fucking CG spiderman.
