DBFZ is unironically amazing after the new patch.

-Combo variety is at an all-time high, the only limit is now your own execution and knowledge. Basic magic series is not optimal for anybody, every character now has unique routes
-Character balance is wider than ever before, practically 80% of the cast is viable
-Strong defensive options in reflect and especially Guard Cancel Tag, and reduced oki on Level 3s means if you get caught in a constant offensive loop by your opponent it's your own fault
-Special moves buffed across the board, creating more unique playstyles across the cast
-Game has great population, even on PC where it's the lowest
-Still being supported with a new season and a Pro Tour through January

DBFZ 2.0 is actually amazing, easily the most fun tag fighter on the market, and every complaint people threw at it near launch has been addressed. No more complaining about defensive options, no more complaining about combo variety, no more complaining about balance, no more complaining about not being able to escape long blockstrings, no more complaining about lack of neutral, no more complaining about lack of unique characters, no, you just suck if you still think these are issues. Arcsys really know how to fix a game and the only true issue now is a lack of multiple assists per character.

I wouldn’t go that far. Cell’s EX perfect attack no longer lands right above the opponent anymore. Trunks’ EX spin doesn’t land near the opponent anymore either. Goku’s new meteor fist bounce is a minor buff at best because a vanish combo doesn’t even lead to a sliding knockdown. And not to mention that 90% of the special moves (even if they were buffed) + assists in this game are still invalided by double jumping.

Characters like Goku amd Cooler are BUILT around footsies and get a ton of mileage out of it. If yoi are getting constantly super dashed it's because you haven't properly conditioned your opponent with 2H.
