Let's keep going.
How do you do the Blackhand NPC quest?
Let's keep going.
How do you do the Blackhand NPC quest?
HOW DO I KILL BIG MONKEY
Game is shit. Fuck off to /vg/. Yea Forums is DMC clay.
WELL DONE SEKIRO
HOWEVER
HYPER ARMOR
Damn I love these threads. They are great. Sekiro is great. Is the Demon of Hatred harder than Isshin?
This should come in handy
youtube.com
you can interrupt him tho
Who cares about DMCV? DMC1,3 and 4 are the only ones that matter. You can fuck off back to your DMC subreddit with DmC and DMCV
hit it and don't get hit
>Is the Demon of Hatred harder than Isshin?
nah, isshin is harder
I think SS Isshin is harder personally, but I know some people disagree.
>V
>4 matters
cringe and bluepilled
Only one attack when he lands after jumping at you and is ready to swing. He'll still hit you after you interrupt him though if you don't press L1 immediately after attacking
>isshin is harder
not at all
demon of hatred doesnt belong in this game. that's why he's the hardest boss. literally ignores most combat mechanics
fuck that bos
only if he lets you
Best place to farm skill points? Just want to unlock a couple some of the temple arts shit to see what it's like.
>Try to reset enemies
>Rifle/archerniggers keep trying to shoot me trough walls/roof
Just a reminder,
>Rice loli is really just a centipede pretending to be a human girl
>the rice you were feeding people is actually centipede eggs
>You picked the worst ending and now Rice Loli is going to spread centipedes around the world
Any questions?
Just unlocked the ability to swim underwater and I'm finding more Carp scales. Just curious if there is a use for them beyond the 4 trades of the dude in the pot. Already bought the mask piece, but when I get the combat art, should I just start buying Divine Grass?
Also, I still haven't found that Monk fight on the bridge from the trailer, but I did fight a ghost version of it in the Hidden Valley. Did I miss something?
Oh, and to anyone who was putting off fighting O'Rin because you didn't need a Prayer Bead right then; don't. Suck it up and go beat her. Just get the parry timing down and be ready to do the jump counter.
She gives arguably the best passive combat art in the game; health back from deathblows, and it stacks with the one from the Shinobi upgrade tree. I'm getting about a sixth of my bar back from DBs now at 5 health upgrades.
Yes yes, well done Isshin
HOWEVER
FIRECRACKER
>>Rice loli is really just a centipede pretending to be a human girl
source
>cringe and bluepilled
Back to r*ddit with you. 4 is not really all that great compared to 1 and 3 but it's still a good game. I'm a DMC fan btw
doe she shit out those centipede eggs?
Requesting somebody to come to my house to beat demon of hatred for me pls
>literally ignores most combat mechanics
That lets you ignore following those mechanics as well.
Aren't the red circles above my life bar are resurrecting charges? For some reason, I can't resurrect more than once.
>need more fulminated mercury
>only those red rifleman drop it
>sword saint isshin
>uses a gun
Sure, I left my summoning sign at your door.
Why are the centipedes a source of immortality?
This motherfucker took sword/spear/gun with him to the underworld and pull them out of grandson's dead corpse.
What an asshole
There's a second pot noble in REDACTED SPOILERS REEEE in the last location you visit
getting a deathblow enables it again
I already did last night, surprised you didn't hear anything ;)
>4 is still a good game
>but """"""""""V"""""""""" isn't
>DMC fan
except the combat is designed around those mechanics
without posture the combat is complete shit because bosses would be incredibly boring damage sponges (demon of hatred)
Theres another pot dude later in the same area as true monk. Just keep playing and remember to protect little Lord.
just finished it lads, didn't find it too hard
expected to be stuck on Isshin for multiple hours but it took me around 10 tries
the cannon guys in the poison pool drop it with bell demon equipped
Oh I'm that thing that makes strange noises at night in your house. I'll be there in a minute. Not sure if I can beat him first try though
The centipedes grow at the bottom of fountainhead lake so they've imbibed the rejuvenating waters. I assume they take something of a parasitic relationship with their host but can grant you eternal life in return
It kinda makes the fight less fun, yes, but not necessarily harder.
>tfw max upgrade firecracker that increase physical and poise
Where do you think she scoops out the eggs from? haha askign for a friend.
Also why was she in pain while eating two (2) persimmons?
Go discuss your shitty babby's first DMC somewhere else you newshit. This is a Sekiro thread
>I'M NOT SHIT THE GAME IS WRONG
there is a easy way for demon of hatred you run away and wait for his gap closer attack and hit him there takes sometime but it's save and easy maybe use that fire umbrella if needed.
>they reset anyway
how is it a damage sponge
the demon doesnt block your attacks like human bosses
it's the same kind of enemy as the big monkey or the bull
it just makes fighting them easier
Because those 2 "persimmons" were organs from gods that no non-deity was ever supposed to consume or even have. She went through a lot of pain to help you.
>how is it a damage sponge
>3 phases that take some 100 hits each to chew through
It won't be satisfying end for you, and would ruin the game for you. And I won't do that to you :)
>March 29
>I am forgotten except for my shit threads on Yea Forums
Also i'm pretty sure this is a false flag
do you have the flame version of the umbrella? that thing carried my through the fight
No source, just context clues. no being in a fromsoft universe is so pure
She was low on blood. She couldn't eat any more children that the monks were providing her because we killed them all. Read the item description on the permissions.
>its the same kind of enemy as the ape or bull
coincidentally, the other 2 shittiest fights in the game.
really makes u think
Nigger you can literally just mash L1 as fast as possible and deflect the world coming at you.
If you think deflects, which you can cancel out of attacks to do and have very lenient timing, aren't forgiving, then you're just extra bad at the game.
>Rice loli is really just a centipede pretending to be a human girl
So you're saying age of consent doesn't apply to her then
how is that different from isshin
the only difference is that you're whittling his health instead of his posture
>it's new so it's bad
You just keep showing your absolutely abhorrent taste. I take offence to you calling 4 a good game
Where do i find the umbrella merchant
kek
what context clues tho
ape is fine bull is fine if you stay infront of him demon is bullshit because his attacks just go behind you sometimes.
Because he usually dies from vitality damage rather than posture. At least with the bull and monkey you're able you posture damage them to death.
at the back of Ashina Castle behind the Old Grave idol
>the cannon guys in the poison pool drop it with bell demon equipped
Not him but whoa whoa whoa what? The bell actually changes what people drop not just the rates? brb g2g senpou
all the immortals around her were worms. why did worms protect her so?
isshin actually forces you to use posture mechanics.
His headcanon.
except they weren't really gods, they were injured and died to normal blade
they were just worshiped as god
> the other 2 shittiest fights in the game
But the ape was really cool
>Try do a mikiri counter
>Dodge instead
Mikiri counter works 90% of the time if it's done completely from neutral, even if you mis-time it horribly. That's the basic trick to it
*unsheathe katana*
>those guys near the end who eeeever so slightly delay their sword attacks to fuck up my parry timing
REEEEEEEE
when doing mikiri, hold the thumbstick forward. It makes it trigger more easily.
>>it's new so it's bad
I like Sekiro so this is obviously not about me. DMC5 is a game that has shitty aesthetic to it. Shitty atmosphere, garbage character and enemy designs, awful locations. You are the one who has shit taste here
>fire is effective against those with red eyes!
>it works fine against other enemies
>firecrackers are effective against beasts!
>they're useful for humans too
>dodge Lady Butterfly's attacks, then counterattack!
>easiest way to kill her is to just unrelentingly attack and parry
Miyazaki-san, I...
Spawn at Old Grave, and look down from the ledge.
You'll see a house with a hole in the roof.
He's inside there.
my friend talked him up to high heavens and I expected an orphan of kos situation where I'm stuck for more than a day, but isshin ended up taking me under an hour of attempts
Isshin is not hard if you have truly embraced the aggro lifestyle and all the nuances of forcing the enemy to do a deflect and weak counter
Demon of Hatred is more frustrating imo, he’s a Souls boss where you just have to learn his moveset instead of having a chance at parrying and reading him on your first try
when doing mikiri counter, DO NOT TOUCH THE LEFT STICK. Sekiro defaults the dodge command to a dodge forward action, not backwards like dark souls.
Why were the monks protecting her then? Name me one logical reason why they would.
>Can't sheathe katana after a stylish kill
The only thing this game is missing
>Also why was she in pain while eating two (2) persimmons?
Because they were highly poisonous, she only survived because of her special powers.
are you retarded
You mean the blackhat midget? You can first find him in a building that you can jump through the roof near the old grave. After you buy the umbrella from him he moves to senpou temple near the start. He talks about getting across to where you kill the serpent. Use puppeteer to fly the kite, talk to him, then go across and down to a cave. Talk to him again, and then he can be found near the first building you met him after Ashina gets invaded
>Beat Owl 2 in 5 Attempts
I have been to the divine realm and come back gud
Isshin can be so easy if you get lucky rng. Like if he spams his mikiri attack in phase 2 or his lighting in phase 3. Last fight I had agaisnt him, he did nothing but spam his lighting shit in phase 3 and I never saw that before.
Do I suspect correctly that giving Sake to the right people leads me towards an ending? If yes, then I suspect I won't have enough to complete all dialogue talks with everyone. Right now I have one Ashina Sake and Dragonspring (just entered the palace), the Sculptor doesn't want neither but Emma does.
>easiest way to kill her is to just unrelentingly attack and parry
I feel like she got memed into being a "casual filter" because people weren't fully used to the combat system differences from souls and were probably playing too defensively. she's pretty simple if you just harass the shit out of her and spam (don't try to time, literally spam) deflect her combos
I'm not sure where I need to go now. I've done the temple and talked to the dude that says something about a child that's locked up, got the temple arts tome but I'm not seeing anywhere else I can go from here. Any tips?
if you stay on his ass and make him block he'll usually parry and counter instead of doing armored moves
>Can't clean and sheath my katana with a cool animation like in nioh
I am slightly disappointed
No, you just give sake to npcs for some lore and backstory
What an absolutely awful opinion
The only bad thing about the game are the designs of the qliphoth levels.
And then, it has much better designs than 4 (except Trish I guess) and MUCH better gameplay than 4. You know, the thing that actually matters
If you wasted your entire fucking temple budget (cobbled together from selling stupid candy to idiots who stab each other) including several hundred dead children from previous attempts on trying to find immortality, you better fucking believe you'd protect the end product.
Did you beat genchiro yet?
Pls respond
>Isshin is not hard if you have truly embraced the aggro lifestyle
You need lots of prayer beads though to fight aggresively against Isshin. Otherwise he'll just break your posture
Sake's just for bonus dialogue. There's 3 types and you can only give 1 of each to 3 people. There should be 9 alcohol in total you can find.
I keep trying this and it just never pulls the worm out.
Sake is only for lore, you can give it to whoever you wanna know more about
How do you know the monks on mt Kongo are centipede infested?
Because she makes them immortal. She doesn't have the centipede in herself.
Just like Kuro's Immortal Oath makes Sekiro immortal, but it doesn't mean Sekiro now has Divine Dragon blood in his veins himself.
The Divine Heir children are a source of immortality for others, but their own immortality is of a different nature.
Has to be after the parry stun.
Mibu village, fountainhead if you have access
I like Ashina Castle - Antechamber, you can quickly sneak up on 3 of those blue guys for a lot of exp
>has much better designs than 4
Shit taste
>MUCH better gameplay than 4. You know, the thing that actually matters
Who cares you just mash 1 button in DMC. That's why I was talking about atmosphere and designs, the reason I like DMC. I could mash 1 button in God of War you know and lots of other action games
Beat the boss at the top of the castle.
post yfw
>KOI, SEKIRO
COME, SEKIRO
>KOI, SEKIRO
COME, SEKIRO
>KOI, SEKIRO
COME, SEKIRO
Oh. Well I guess that's both good and bad, I thought it was a secret path but on the other hand I don't have to worry about giving it to the wrong person.
Ashina Outskirts Stairway bonfire in the endgame. Five Ministry dudes for you to backstab.
Yeah, I parry him, he falls over. I use the spear, it hits him for 1 damage and he stands back up.
haha no. Forsen beat him by running away and poking after overhead spear slam for 15 minutes
>Shit taste
So you haven't actually played 4, gotcha
>Who cares you just mash 1 button in DMC. That's why I was talking about atmosphere and designs, the reason I like DMC
Ah I see, this is bait. Well done then
High monk is one of the best combat arts in the game, turns sekiro into a mini boss, farm the spooky village
You have too much autism for a regular person to understand what you want
Backstab her before the fight.
im startnig a new playthrough, when do you get the puppeteer technique? I dont want to have to backtrack to go grab it when i reach senpou.
Her "rice" is actually centipede eggs. People ingest those and grow centipedes inside them.
How does the end product benefit the monks in the slightest? Reverse engineering her? Why would they need to do that when they made her in the first place? Don't you find it strange that only she and kotaro can talk to the children in the halls of illusion and one of them is a fucking buffoon?
This only proves my point further honestly. She is basically acting as the queen of the centipedes. Think about it.
I'm pretty sure you don't need a Divine Child to be immortal when infested. (Hanbei, ape, etc)
I don't think any of the monks outside of the infested ones were actually immortal either.
they're priests therefore pedophiles
Can i sneak up on the headless next to the outskirts stairs?
can you give the same sake to multiple NPCs (making some conversations missable) or is each sake meant for a specific NPC?
How
Zero evidence, you just said the same thing that lead other user to post the reply you just responded to, almost like you have none
Where are you getting this from?
You have to R2 again. The first spear attack is a stab, the second one is a pull.
>this entire post
jesus fucking christ
>High monk is one of the best combat arts in the game, turns sekiro into a mini boss
how so?
So just recently took out Ogre with some slight cheese. Any particular area I should be going to next? I heard from a friend the horseback man boss fight is shortly after Ogre, but I only went past it far enough to get the Gourd Seed atm. Explored the flashback a bit, but only got the Fire Vent so far out of that.
>Half way into the game I realize I have to dodge TOWARDS the enemy to do the thrust counter
Fucking Japs, I swear you can do it in any direction on the training dude. This is very misleading
You can't sneak up on any headless
headcanon. The only thing that we have evidence transforms people is water from the divine palace
from the centipedes that come out of them to grab you
Do you really need your loli waifu so badly? Kek
this guy said it bestest
>Because they were highly poisonous
Source? I'm pretty sure livers don't have poison
Ceramic Shards
How is man-made immortality NOT a benefit to the monks when that was literally their goal in the first place? It's a mistake to assume that the monks are all after immortality for their own personal gain--being in control of a truly immortal divine being grants you much greater power and influence than you're giving them credit for.
Explain what happens to the old ladies after they eat the rice then.
They can be given to multiple NPCs, you find multiple versions of each tho, if you find everything you can exhaust everyone's dialogue
>jesus fucking christ I have no retort
I understand dude, I undestand
He's lying, she didnt have the centipede inmortality she has an enginered version of the dragon heritage, they experimented with her with dragon blood and the actual rejuvenating waters
The centipede infects you when you drink the impure waters in the fountainehead palace. If she was just another centipede she wouldnt be any special. The fact that she can produce the rice using her blood proves she isnt a regular centipede infested
read their descriptions
Ah ok. Thanks.
yes, brainlet retard, you can probably cheese every boss fight just like in every from game, the point is demon of hatred doesnt give you a choice. you have to ignore the game's mechanics and just cheese.
Not at that point yet, but thank you.
No fountainhead yet, will try Mibu though. Thanks, user.
This is what I was doing but it's slow, I do get the benefit of decent drops at least
Spooky village as in mibu? If so, thanks.
Oh yeah those exist, I'll try that nex ttime I fight her
Can I keep harvesting the rice from rice loli?
Not sure whether I should give it to the grandma?
I also heard that you need to give it to Kuro to trigger the good ending
Stuck at Ashina Depths Wedding Cave door.
Where to go? I'm also stuck at the monk temple high up with the unkillable guys and stuck at gun fort.
So what do you even do with the worm? Mortal Draw it?
You can't sneak attack any apparition enemies.
If you're super early in the game then ignore the Headless, you wont be able to beat them until much later.
Because it's fucking From. Of course the lovely healthy nice thing from the cute loli is actually something disgusting.
The centipedes are "dragons" that grow in the sacred waters, since they also feed on the carp there. Anything wyrm-like (i.e. Eels, Snakes) is a potentially godly entity, i.e. a dragon, in Ashina.
If you think about it, any kind of "immortal waters" would just end up having a bunch of nasty-ass immortal Bacteria in it.
Right after ogre is a samurai boss. Go to the right and grapple, crouch when you land and kill the adds before the boss. Sneak attack the boss to open the fight.
she's the only successful survivor of the experiments they spent so much time and money on, what the fuck do you think they would do with her?
>This is very misleading
The game very clearly tells you to press B to counter, not B+direction input
what do you mean cheese
if you're running away from the demon then you're fucking retarded
stay near him and keep attacking
>literally tells you to dodge into them in the tutorial and skill description
epic
also just dodge, dont tilt the left stick.
the "rice" she produces is centipede eggs. that's why her ending is only available after you spread it around.
Yes she gives you more whenever you run out. The Rice you give to Kuro is different, and you have to advance the story for her to give it to you
>produce the rice using her blood
And that isn't suspect to you for what reason exactly?
It starts out with a flying kick that heavily damages jumping enemies, goes into a downward slam that can break enemy hyper armor and follows up with slashes and kicks that deal a lot of posture damage. You also get a lot of iframes during the animation. Seriously it's really good and not that expensive compared to the other arts
It actually does tell you to B/O + Direction.
The tooltips have been proven to lie to the player and be outright wrong on multiple occasions.
[citation needed]
you can always get more rice from her
the rice for kuro is a special rice
Did you finish Ashina castle?
Nvm its just a huge hit to the health...nice
where do you get it?
uh no, in the description it says use left stick and B
>probably the most straightfoward story and lore of any soulsborne game
>people still just pulling shit out of their ass with no concept of things like evidence or proof
It does less posture damage than spamming r1 and is far less safe due to the length of the animations and the inability to cancel out of the backswing.
>autists debating what comes out of an underaged girl's asshole
does anyone have some Sekiro official art? Is the Artbook out?
Why are balloons even in the game? I never remember to use them
the instructions on the skill screen say to just press circle but if you're not an idiot you can tell neutral circle just dashes you forward, so naturally holding forward + circle would do the same thing
>its a semi automatic
But everything he said is correct
You find the temple arts scroll at the end of monastery area, it's the last skill in the tree, the passives that increase money and item drops are also great if you get them early
for farming
they know there's autists who want to get everything in a single playthrough despite the game being designed to discourage you from doing that
>so naturally holding forward + circle would do the same thing
it does though
>we know more than before therefore there is 0 discussion to have!!!!!!
There are still people who don't know that Bloodborne is a massive reference to Freudian psychology, or didn't realise that Sen from Dark Souls 1 is the Firstborn of Gwyn.
It's a fucking From game.
In true soulslike fashion all the consumables save for a handful are useless.
>whips out a fucking glock
did not expect this
>Sen from Dark Souls 1 is the Firstborn of Gwyn.
If you're pretending to be a lorefag then you're spot on
Wtf do you even mean faggot....use em to farm items, sen
Why infected people have only one centipede instead of 30 or more?
Loved the game but I can't really find a reason to go into NG+
Maybe when they announce DLC I'll go ahead and continue my NG+ run
Really depends on the enemies, it helps you avoid incoming damage fairly well for some. Also the tall enemies like angry grandpa get hit by the initial kick and won't retaliate during the animation in my experience
That only made the fight better
You'll get it after beating the senpou temple boss
why was genichiro allowed to bring a bow to a sword fight
most of the consumables are very valuable because of the difficulty in fights tho
go to bed vaati, there's nothing to read into about rice loli you're pulling shit out of your ass
>Not at that point yet
Then what the fuck are you doing farming for exp?
Don't even attempt that shit until NG++
It is nice because of that initial hit against enemies with no poise/HA and the leap, but it's still very undertuned in general.
I'm lost.
Just killed the vega wannabe, found a prayer bead and 3 mini versions of the vega guy in the dark caves but didnt see a way forward.
There is a prompt to tell that black samurai by the starting well to go to the zombie dungeon but that sounds like a mean thing to do.
I don't know where the gourd seed lady went.
NG+ is funner than I thought it would be, it's fun to just run from boss to boss and slaughter them
why do pregnant women only get their eggs fertilized by 1 sperm instead of millions
holy shit how can someone be this retarded
none of what you said is true and you have no evidence to back up any of it
fuck off
WHY THE FUCK IS THE SHIT APE BACK
I ALREADY KILLED IT TWICE
WHAT DO?
Can i do anything with the unique balloon from badger? Seems like a waste to just use up imo
what the deal with the schimen warrior in the caves? how the fuck do you kill him?
Sprinting is an easy way to avoid his attacks
confetti
Demon of hatred sucks, there's no trick to fighting it it's just a damage sponge
Kill it again
why were you allowed a robot arm in medival times
Kill it again (for realsies this time)
no you dont, you can literally stand still and just press b and it will do the counter. You still have to time it right though, you cant press it as soon as the red flash pops up
Monk after O'Rin drives me fucking nuts.
>Use dodge to avoid grabs
>Jumping works more reliably
>USE DODGE TO AVOID GRABS TUTORIAL 2
>Jumping works more reliably
Is there any reason to cure dragon rot, besides the lategame?
>despite the game being designed to discourage you from doing that
What? That doesn't make any sense.
It's definitely the longest boss in any souls game to beat. One trick is using the final whistle prosthetic for 3 stuns..
just keep sprinting behind him is the trick. Suzaku shield his jump attack for big damage opportunities
you can use snap seeds to stun her
ISSIN SHI NEEEEEEE
confetti, snap seed and firecracker spam her to death
Firecrackers, Ash and use Snap Seeds when she's below 30% health.
You're welcome.
It's certainly not perfectly but it's the combat art I have been using the most. That midair combat arts skill gives it some more versatility because you can just go right into the downward kick after a jump. Also it looks really cool and doesn't cost emblems like many of the other secret arts
>It's definitely the longest boss in any souls game to beat
Ancient dragon was longer, and shittier
???
During pre-release interviews the lead designer said the game wasn't designed to let you get every skill in a single playthrough. You can obviously get it, but you're heavily discouraged from doing so because you'll have to grind for fucking hours.
it's the most dark souls boss in the game, really unfun
>yfw owl has his own mikiri counter
Just parry her. She is nothing compared to her real self you'll face later on
you can stunlock it with firecrackers and fist full of ash, use snap seeds to take off 30% of HP while using divine confetti for extra damage.
Ok thanks guys.
Dungeon surgeon is an asshole, ignore him. Emma goes to the castle but she'll visit the sculptor from time to time. What areas have you done so far?
How is it discouraged if there are items that enable it?
>watching my friend play sekiro
>he's fighting the armored guy
>he's still just trying to dodge every attack
is this why people keep spouting this sekiro is harder than other souls game meme? how can you be this far in the game and not realise YOU HAVE TO PARRY REEEE
Yeah it's literally a Bloodborne boss. It even looks exactly like Laurence. I honestly thought it was Laurence's model for a second
I'm at the corrupted monk and I've found that I'm hardly using any of the prosthetic upgrades. I really only use the shuriken and fire crackers.
Anyone else? redpill me on using a more diverse selection of prosthetic tools
Not to mention it doesn’t cost emblems
it's one of the most fun bosses in the game though
They only last a few minutes
Finished the game 2 times got all endings, fire away
Kill him again to become lady maria
Strongly disagree
>normal blade
>literally a blade called the Mortal Blade which makes immortals mortal
yeah, sure is a normal blade
by the fact that you have to go out of your way to grind for hours to get the skill points required. how is that hard to understand?
He basically has the same tricks and moves as you do, it was pretty cool to get mikiri'd and get firecrackers thrown in my face
>>I suck him off while he is playing
Damn user does this game really make you THAT horny?
would you eat rice out of a loli's ass? what about her caviar?
With confetti active you can block his laser effortlessly, just keep wailing on him after closing the distance. Purple goud helps immensely
You use the item drop rate one to kill as much as possible but don't loot. Then pop the money one and run through picking everything up
I found Mortal Draw to be really useful; the double swipe absolutely eats her health, which takes her posture regen down.
Had a lot of trouble initially, then tried opening the fight with a bunch of Mortal Draws. Make sure to use the Tanto to maximize the SRs. Got it on my second attempt after that.
>attack/defense sugars last for 20 seconds
who thought this was a good idea?
did these japs even playtest this shit
god every fucking fromsoft game has these tiny fucking problems that could be fixed so fucking easily. WHAT TEH FUCK IS WRONG WITH THEM
I've died 10 times to General Kawarada. Should I just give up?
Isn't her ass always clean because she is divine or something?
you can grind to level 700 in dark souls NG
doesnt mean you're supposed to do that and it would take weeks
No gross, I'd much preferably eat Kuro's special rice ball.
snek dies to the pleb sword
You don't use the mortal blade to kill the snake
>did these japs even playtest this shit
Miyazaki is a scrub, I guarantee he would get filter'd by Owl
>>firecrackers are effective against beasts!
>>they're useful for humans too
more like they're useful for every god damn enemy in the game except the ones with no heads
i mean damn, it is hands down the best prosthetic tool in the game especially if you have double ichimonji
You said the items are pointless when they are very clearly not. I never said anything about getting all skills I was thinking prosthetic upgrades
I seriously don't understand. This game really exposes the people who refuse to learn.
Yeah, I'd be using them way more often if they had a reasonable duration time
Questlines don't continue for sick NPCs, also you will never run out of the healing items so there is no reason not to cure it. I died a lot, healed it everytime it popped up and still had 15 tears left
You kill the snek with your regular katana, not the Mortal Blade.
youtu.be
Never saw it coming
How in the fuck do I beat SS Isshin in phase 2?
I try aggro and he keeps fucking me up with his jumping sweeps.
Especially the one where he jumps backwards to disengage.
how do you use the mirikiri counter? do you have to dodge towards the thrust??????
You don't get locked out of the Return ending quest with max dragon rot I'm sure so it isn't a big deal.
There are 4 types: Ashina, unrefined, monkey, dragonspring. But yeah you can find 3 of each
You only think jumping works more reliably because you don't know how to dodge grabs correctly and jumping is the crutch you use to excuse yourself from learning.
Just press the dodge button with no movement input and don't do it too early or you'll just dodge forward
That or neutral dodge
>Especially the one where he jumps backwards to disengage.
thats like the most bullshit attack in the entire game. you will get hit 99% of the time
You just have to beat him, there are no special tricks to it. He is just that hard, yes. Then there is phase 3 that is even more bullshit
you can train on the samurai at the temple btw
>Make sure to use the Tanto to maximize the SRs.
Huh? What's a tanto?
I hope I get to watch him try giraffe sen'un hahaha
Shuriken and Fire Crackers are the only tools you can rely on at all times. The Fire prosthetic is also okay when you upgrade it a bit, it's pretty versatile since you get an explosion, knock back and it causes damage and burning.
The rest are useless or situational, or are okay but then waste all your fucking emblems making them useless again.
Then there's prosthetics like the Phoenix Umbrella which are pretty meh but then single-handedly carry you against Apparition boss fights.
Maybe? If the dodge was going to be useless they should have just removed it and given us all an extra button to use.
In some fights you just end up running around like Sonic in a way that's not that much different from spamming dodge.
Just press Dodge. It tells you to "dodge forward" but your default dodge does that by itself, unlike in Souls where it's a backstep. You can Mikiri from a guard state, and that's generally what you do because guarding baits out thrusts.
>you said the items are pointless
Are you quoting the wrong person or something
so what am I looking at here, just found another route in the dungeon
Giraffe is where most people realise how you are supposed to play this game and suddenly git gud I believe
It depends on the enemy. Shuriken and firecrackers are obviously all purpose top tier, the axe and spear used on specific enemies and the finger is real good for stealth. Besides that the shield is really good against apparitions like headless, the raven mist and the fire cannon are shit.
A Japanese short sword, you can find it in the castle.
a schwimen warrior, stay away unless you have confetti and pacifying agent in which case go nuts friend
I want some of Owl's firecrackers. That shit's insane. Now I know how enemies feel when I spam that shit on them
If you played Bloodborne, you can sacrifice health for ammo. Adds a little +5 to your counter.
It was a core mechanic in BB, but it's tied to an item in Sekiro; the Ceremonial Tanto that you get from the Ashima Warrior in the Underground Dungeon.
Each use takes a chunk of health and adds 5 Spirit Emblems. Basically lets you trade a Gourd use for ammo.
I beat the guy at the top of the castle
Killed two sub bosses in the sudden valley, went underneath the floorboards but didnt see any progression further.
Went into the dungeon but noped out because it seemed like something I'm meant to tackle later.
Killed the ninja in the starting well and the samurai with the spear in the house you meet Kujo
Told the bandit shop near the ogre the samurai want salt
What happens if I tell the samurai to go down into the dungeons?
Emma doesn't seem to allow me to use gourd seeds anymore if shes the girl at the top of the castle. I thought that was someone else entirely.
He doesn't use mortal blade to kill snake you brainlet. Know wtf you are talking about before trying to correct others.
Ah, Sabimaru. Gotcha. I thought it was some other weapon or item I hadn't gotten yet.
He just rested at an idol, I think he's managed to miss hirata estate so it probably doesn't help that he hasn't faced butterfly yet
What's the lore on these retards anyway
The spin2win upgrade on the Umbrella wrecks him. I just opened it and spun to break him on a combo.
if you're brave but not too much you can run around, get the shinies and grapple out of the boss arena but not the way you came in
Why can't I use the Bundled Jizo? Even after I res once, it's just unusable
back of the knee maybe
No, different item, Ceremonial Tanto.
Where the fuck do I upgrade my gourd after I've reached the top of Ashina castle? The woman is at the top, but doesn't give me the option to do so.
>>dodge Lady Butterfly's attacks, then counterattack!
>>easiest way to kill her is to just unrelentingly attack and parry
no wonder its considered a hard boss by a alot, game straight up gives you a shitty tip before it and most people try to go with it
just continue the game and she'll be back to normal later.
also
>the woman
Her name is Emma you uncivilized ape
You run into him after you read an obelisk that says something about an Ashina rebellion was put down and may the warriors soul rest in peace if you take a path through the dungeons. So I'm guessing that these guys were a part of that rebellion.
Where the fuck can i get scrap iron. I went through the outskirts entirely slaughtering everything and only got two.
Am i suppose to do this ten times? Holy fuck, mmo tier grinding. Why pad this shit out, im already cock blocked by bosses.
First idol just before mibu.
Follow the river away from the village. Poison man in the corner there gives 700 skill points and you can stealth kill him.
Can't be used in bossfights
Okay, nevermind, it is another sword then. I'll have to go look for it
doesnt the purple ninja next to the ashina antechamber idol give you scrap iron?
i used one during isshin fight
You can buy it from vendors, and infinitely once you get the merchant stock item.
You have to advance Kuro's dialogue a bit, assuming Emma is saying "go talk to Kuro"
>tfw stuck on the one in Shrine of Amana 2.0
fuck him and fuck the dogs.
You get it from killing this guy
also fog wall blocks me from escaping
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAH
:crashes into a wall:
Is it even worth trying to break his posture in this phase, or should I just chip away at his vitality?
>Long arm centipede faggot just spams one attack non stop
Top tier design From
Exhaust kuros dialogue and look around the room, there is a key that allows you to continue in the gun fort. The surgeons dungeon is pretty much Iosefkas clinic. You could also make your way to the depths if you found the bottomless hole already.
Emma will move to kuros room after a while, then she should upgrade your stuff like normal
>Ignore him and go kill the dogs
>Hide behind the terrain to avoid his laser
>Laser goes through the ground and one shots me
No wonder, that guy destroyed me. Ran from him like he was the plague, was going to leave him for later like the Headless.
Phase 3 is way easier
Quick update on my friend - he got to sen'un, ran around and then decided to hold down block on all the attacks... his posture didn't do so good.
Do the tantos replenish or do I only get 2?
easier to parry
how do i beat this dude?
SO trying to fight general tenzen right after the ogre..what the fuck is even with this area? WHy am I forced into a massive brawl this game is absolutely NOT designed for? I can sneak kill 2 of the guys in the area at most, and there's literally no way to sneak up on anyone else.
Is there another idol I can go to shortly past him because unless there is this spot is basically impossible to sneak up on.
Even mini-bosses? Saw somebody use one during the drunkard fight, but I can't ever seem to use mine.
Thanks user very cool
The boss is not great but the core mechanic of this game is parrying so obviously they will put a fucker that just goes apeshit with flurries of attacks which you have to parry
anyone else hate the final boss arena?
>lol generic beautiful flower field
fuck this shit, it obscures the boss(s) weapons.
>tfw almost getting filtered at the last boss
Only took me seven fucking hours
just gotta go talk to that guy they both tell you to talk to.
>boss designed to ensure players now how to consecutively deflect
>whoah why does it only spam one attack
boss isn't interesting for anyone who's been playing properly from the start but it's essential for dickheads like this guy
If you're talking about the guy in the Palace you can get a deathblow by jumping down on him.
be a shinobi
God damn. Does he even know he can parry?
>Top tier design From
It unironically is
Break his posture or reduce his HP to zero.
What vendors
MOOOOOOT
It depends, if you have lots of prayer bids then yes. If not then good fucking luck dude
Firecrackers didn't do much help against Ogre. Do I need the other firebarrel weapon the looter told me about?
there is an idol by the broken bridge i believe. but you can always kill some of the additional guys and then hide away into grass and they will stop looking for you, giving you the chance to sneak up on ppl/boss again
7 hours? Fugg, either I'm a god or lucky that it only took me about 3.5 hours
Go around and kill the pots and pans guy first, you can easily pick of the other enemies after that, use the invisibility sugar. Also the general isn't very attentive and pretty slow when he walks around, you can pick off the guys above him and then get a stealth deathblow in when he checks on them
They refill at bonfires.
So Basically 3 Gourds = 15 Emblems, basically Blood Bullets from Bloodborne but limited so you can't just cheese enemies forever. Alternatively save your Gourds and use the Pellets you're stockpiling.
Still one of the best items in the game.
How can Tengu be Isshin if gets killed and we clearly see his corpse?
did anyone autistically quit out of the game and re enter to start before the boss fight if you died once too early to avoid dragon rot?
Is there a hidden optional bosses you need to do before going into ng+? I don't mean bosses that you encounter by exploring, but easy to miss bosses that show up after specific conditions are met
i tried jumping multiple times, the deathblow indicator never appears.
yeah that's more useful for the ogre it's right next to the looters you eavesdrop on - in the fire
demon of hatred boss is the only one I can think of
Look for crows and shitty tents, first one is after the horse guy IIRC
There is an idol right after. Go to the other side of the arena and jump down the cliffs.
That said, you absolutely can stealth kill everyone there. You can also disengage, run behind the big wall, maybe even jump up to the tree, or even hide back in the building you enter from. After a few seconds the enemies go back to their spots for you to stealth kill.
no because i'm not a FUCKING PUSSY
what does dragon rot do?
you dont NEED it and it's not like it makes a big difference for that fight
No, even on my first playthrough when I had no idea what I'm doing or what dragon rot does I just rolled with it, more fun that way
>After the ashina invasion he's forever dead
makes NPCs cough and you can't talk to them
that's it
I've tried doing that, but as soon as one guy spots me a gong starts going off an the other 5-6 enemies in the area instantly know exactly where I am, so I only have about 5 seconds to kill anybody before everyone else bullrushes me.
I can't get to any of the pots and pants guy because every possible route through there is watched by someone who never looks away from the route. I even tried climbing the wall but there's some bird-looking guy sitting on the wall watching that spot, so that's a no go. Can't even climb onto the small roof on the left path because someone who never looks away instantly spots me and sounds an alarm.
yea but you rotten like one
>Worrying about dragonrot
for what purpose like dood just pop the consumable when you want to talk to your npc lmao
Thanks, haven't used them yet because I assumed they were super rare one time only items
there appears to be a second Owl boss fight fought in a memory
So doing a second playthrough with Depths before Genichiro etc... O'Rin and Monk with only 2 Attack Power and 13 Vitality feel fucking impossible.
Not only does everything they do do massive posture damage, but their own posture regens immediately because I can't hurt them. Realized Snap Seeds work up to 3 times on Corrupted Monk which can help you chunk down some HP to keep posture from regening instantly but I fucked up and died after using the 4 I had and now I don't have any and vendors only sell after you kill the real Corrupted Monk in Fountainhead because that's truly where they are useful, when there's no more enemies to use them against.
Why does he fight you? I thought he also wished for the Heritage to be severed.
If you got the BAD END you miss out on the final area in the game.
It's possible to miss Double Rape Ape since if you go to the Hidden Forest before killing Guardian Ape, it no longer blocks your way.
Some people also miss the fact you need to Mortal Blade the corpse to get the Shichimen Warrior to spawn there.
I assumed that's where it was. Always avoided direct fighting with them cause 6 v 1 seemed like a bad idea.
First one is near the old lady that gives you the bell
Yeah. When you see people complain about the hitboxes or call bosses bullshit, it's usually because they're trying to dodge roll everything like they're still the chosen undead.
Even the attacks that are actually kinda sketchy are very easy to deal with if you actually learn how to play.
Why is Yea Forums so bad at videogames?
>back in the building you enter
I tried that once. After everyone de-aggroed I waited a few seconds and hookshot back up only to get stabbed instantly by the general, who apparently ran over there and refused to budge from that spot.
You are taking about the guy in the courtyard right after you go trough the broken window at the stairs right? I am pretty sure you can grapple to the right before you jump down to get the drop on the pots person
Miyazaki put it in the game as a troll just to make people feel worse for dying too much.
that's it?
because Miyazaki a hack
and it lowers the unseen aid percent
Oh. It isn't the key to death blows?
Because his grandson wished for it.
The dodge is not useless. Just know WHEN to use it.
Can I get more of Kuro's rice by taking the Divine Child's rice to him once per use?
Yeah, they work like gourd charges; refill at bonfires. The gourd and Tanto are the only things I keep on my hotbar these days. If you get the health-on-deathblow upgrade I don't even have to trade a gourd or pellet for the ammo; I just go get some easy stealth kills and have +5 ammo for that run at no loss.
>Alternatively save your Gourds and use the Pellets you're stockpiling.
For bosses, yeah, that's a very good policy. When I was at 60+ pellets it was a good tradeoff.
Kill pan guy first
It's super easy to stealth
The cleave spear and the axe are fantastic.
The axe does a lot of posture damage and gives you hyper armor, and the cleave spear is an all around useful tool.
Lorefags, explain the black phantom enemies
and gameplay mechanics behind their spawning.
>You were expecting a pretty girl? It was actually Jinzo!
Is this game easier than souls? It seems like it but I don't even think 1% of people on ps finished the game
Don't use the loot suction near enemies while they vanish or you'll absorb their negative karma
I didn't know there was another phase and I just choked hard AHHHHHHHHHH
His second fight is kicking my ass right now. I'm learning faster. But it's surprising how they made him feel very different using many of the same ingredients.
It makes him a lot easier since the fire staggers him for quite some time and does good damage, it isn't necessary tho
>die to a mini-boss
>has to kill 9999 weak enemies to try again
Fuck that dude with Vega's claws that attacks non-stop.
Just rush the pots and pans guy, they die in like one hit. Then run away, hide, then go through like normal, you absolute brainlet
Those are the exact stats I did those bosses at, lol. Took a very long time with a lot of dying but I ended up getting them done tool-less and no items outside of gourd
Tell me more
you wont instantly kill him with fire, no
it just staggers him for a while and deals some damage
The general is pretty slow. On rare occasions you need to give him some more time to walk back. You got unlucky.
Dragon blood in your veins fucks with your brain sometimes and you see visions that can harm you. I don't know if that's true because I just made that up.
>cleave spear
Makes farming weak enemies amazing. I got 500+ from this cluster.
Vilehand?
In the loading screen tips there was like a message saying vengeful spirits or some shit come out at dusk.
Ghosts come out seeking revenge or something. Why they only attack you I don't know.
I think it has to do with it being twilight, twilight being when spirits and shit show up
Twilight = vengeful spirits come to the human world
They spawn after you progress the story a certain amount
>hit block 5 times
>press jump twice
>boss dead
How do you even die multiple times to that guy?
just spam deflect and jump when you see the red warning
it's like the easiest mini boss in the game
Tried that and he still spotted me.
Finally managed to gank the asshole. Went to the left path, and stealth killed 2 guys, then just bolted past everyone else and stabbed his stupid face. Currently just doing stealth kills and waiting for people to de-aggro for more.
Because fuck you that's why
Lads you know when you grapple up after the first chained ogre encounter and go to the right there's a door that says doesn't open from this side... how do I open that nibba?
Both those bosses are Cheese Country, including Snake Eyes before them who be cheesed in three different ways.
Orin can be kited into a cliff where her AI then bugs out and lets you attack her until she dies. You can also skip her first phase by throwing a pottery shard at her face and then backstabbing her.
Corrupted Monk has no cooldown on Crackers or Ash, so you just stunlock her down to 30% health and then Snap Pod her to death.
There's nobody on that Mibu village route that can't be beaten by a naked Sekiro with Firecrackers and some random items picked up on the way. That's why the first Speedruns used that route first.
Are you just fucking with me because i've definitely seen random red particle effects fly into me and I wondered what they are.
Don't tell me there's some half-finished Shura mechanic still left over in the game.
Are there multiple endings?
Open from the other side.
Another outlet from the headless cave in the outskirts
Does Sekiro on PC use cloud saving so I won't lose my data if I reset my PC
yes 4.
They spawned on my first playthrough, but not on NG+.
I didn't heal Dragonroot a single time on NG, and the black phantoms were everywhere.
The red shit is recharging your revive mechanic.
Yes, 4 so far have been confirmed.
am i a joke to you? do you think you r funny? I will find your address and do a poop on your porch.
Its like you morons never read any tooltips and just blindly equip shit and spam buttons. No wonder everyone acts like this game is so hard
I think there's 2 ways but the sure way is going into that cave with headless near the big bell, that cave connects to a way that leads you behind that door
How to beat DoH:
>wait for him to start up attack
>Sprint into him and to the right and behind him
This works for every attack.
who cares, let's talk about eating centipedes out of loli ass
go down the path to the headless and then exit through the cave entrance on the right instead of jumping down to fight, follow the grapple points back up and you'll be on the other side of that building
thanks user, I'll have a little explorey - is there anything nice in the room?
Exactly. It also retains the single target versatility of the regular spear
Are you using your sugars?
Are they stacked? Like ending C is just ending B with an extra scene which is just ending A with more scenes.
Or are they all completely seperate?
>Genichiro rooftop boss fight
>spent energy beating his 2 life bar
>cutscene
>fuck you 2nd phase!
>no more healing
Why
no cloud saves I'm p sure
Nigga I'm 99% sure it's tied to story progression, so whatever areas you do later will have those ghosts for added challenge
I am getting buttblasted by 2ape, i can't get my parries off when the headed ape is in my face. THE FUCKING WHISTLE DOESNT WORK
From the hole in the wall you start at, go right on the rooftop and climb up to go right after the guy ringing the alarm. Then you can hide and stealth kill some guys. but the lesser swordsmen in that area go down really quickly with a few hits and deflects, you can handle two at a time usually. The big guy takes a long time to come up there and fight you.
Seperate, but you can save scum to get all 4 in one play through.
I have NO idea what's normally in there since I only opened it up in the final act where everything's changed. Probably just some early game loot.
Bullshit i tried many many times.
>yfw you attack the owl after the first deathblow when he begs for mercy
Nice detail, Memezaki.
Can I help the guy in the woods that wants to see the temple restored? I thought defeating the mist noble would do the trick but no luck
Im out of charms and need some
Where can i get like forty of them real quick
quite separate
spam parry, then jump his slash
or use the shield to parry, that's easier
Jump when he does the zappity zap and R1 in the air with it to stun him enough to smack him half a dozen times.
Havent needed them yet.
Finally managed to clear out all but one guy and the general..who are both standing in one spot, refusing to move, staring at each other, and too far away from any high spots to manage any drop kills, and neiuther respond to ceramic shards.
Actually, I have yet to have anything respond t thrown ceramic shards at all. Do these things even do anything?
Yes, go back to Hirata estate and speak to the looter NPC. He tells you what to do
I thought it was hard until I realized all you have to do is mash l1 as fast as possible since there is literally no consequence
I feel kinda bad for killing the inhuman okami women, they just wanna play some divine soccer
Just keep running around and throw Ninja Stars at his girlfriend to chip her down, then go in for the kill.
The Apes have like 10 different counters, there's got to be one that works for you.
Use your Sugars user, you'll just have 30 of them in your inventory otherwise.
There's a bad end that ends the game way earlier and way different
Then there's the default ending and the other 2 are just "do this questline and you'll get an option to do an alternate ending" type variations
>playing sekiro
>only items I use are gourd and antidote or dousing powder etc when I get status effects
Why do I do this? I've beaten every soulsborne game apart from demon's and I never use any of the neat items.
Monk fight would be one of the best fights in the game if he didn't spam illusions during phase 2. Shame DESU
Did you really think you could make the wife ape attack her BF
>trying the mash L1 strat on later bosses
You're in for a bad time
Where can i get more confettis?
Go to the right. Ledge hang off the side until the pot guy forgets you exist.
Kill him, jump and kill the rifleman, murder his friend. Jump back up the cliff and regain stealth. Go back and stealth kill the like 3 remaining dudes who aren't looking in each other's direction.
Now you can fight the boss.
The shards are kinda wonky, you gotta throw them right at the enemy and then they will move towards your position. I spent like an hour trying to throw them like I would throw the coin in Hitman or something but they never react to it
so take down the girl one first?
>Mash R1 as fast as possible
Have fun being locked into an attacking animation when the boss decides to do a perilous attack
Firecrackers fuck her up
they are so cute
SAAAA
You can snap seed them or you know just stealth blow him from the trees.
It works up until a point but then you're gonna get your shit kicked in and wish you'd learnt properly earlier.
>His bow is so exaggerated he caused a shockwave
then what's the fucking whistle for if i cant use it to do the big cheese
Just guard cancel the attack and then jump or mikiri. Easy.
Just grapple on the tree when he starts summoning them to end the phase immediately
You can use it on an even bigger cheese later
Kuro is for ____
Redeem yourself by raping them
I tried to snap seed but it didn't do anything. I'm done with the bossfight now but will try again NG+.
>stealth blow him from the trees
cheesers need to kys
might aswell use cheatengine
Hugging and protecting.
please respond
She doesn't have that much health, so yes. This is one of the only fights in the game where having raw ranged damage is useful.
You'll use it for cheese purposes later user.
Use the firecracker to keep the brown monkey in place.
>the hidden firecrackers in gun fort
I almost had a fucking heart attack
What's is this thing underwater on ashima's castle bridge that goes to the serpent shrine? Nothing comes out from the water, hidden boss?
Merchants have infinite amounts after a certain point in the game.
I know you can quickly guard after your first attack but I don't think it's possible with consecutive attacks
ME
second owl
double ape
demon of hatred
You get the ability to swim underwater later on.
FFFUCK YOU AAAAAH
That was fun. Had to blow a resurrection, but whatever.
Go back when you can dive for a fun surprise ;)
it's a headless you'll know when to come back later in the game
>Might as well use cheatengine for doing something clearly intended by the developers
You'll find out later user, don't lose your head over it
You can cancel any attack as long as you try before the swing comes out.
>clearly intended by the developers
is it tho?
Why doesnt genichiro just give his old gran pappy some of that water? Since he already has access to it?
It would be helluva lot easier than trying to sweet talk stubborn shota
because the games don't really make them necessary. sekiro has a bunch of mechanics that most people will not employ and are only useful for autistic minmaxers who looked up what to do. which is shit design but whatever, the game is still okay.
Ninja in the sewer. My lock on dies almost immediately and he gets half a combo on me.
Fucking dammit
So, does the sabimaru have any practical use?
I'm pretty much finished with the game, but I haven't found a single instance where I felt like spending spirit emblems to use that thing over just using R1 or combat arts.
Stop talking out of your ass
It's a unique animation so it most definitely is.
They specifically made an animation for when you deathblow her from the tree so yes, it's intended
I am pretty sure the stealthblow is the intended solution for the illusions phase, why else would he lose sight of you when the phase starts?
I enjoy the game but i personally found it too easy even with the demon bell.
Yet i find the path of hardship way too hard...
I wish there was a happy medium
>second owl
I'm at demon of hatred and the final boss but never got to find him - where is he?
it poisons a surprising amount of creatures
You're a ninja, the boss spams illusions which makes it lose vision of you, there are trees to grapple onto, you can never use these tricks to get the final pip of a boss healthbar.
Do the maths.
It fucks Orin, but yes mostly it's trash.
yes, why the fuck would it be designed that way if it wasn't, you think they never considered people would do this and are completely blindsided by the idea that somebody might stealth attack a boss?
How do you think Kuro will even get out of rice loli's heart?
>inb4 she needs to give birth to him if Sekiro ever wants to see him again and he needs to become his father
KURO EATS A FUCKING RICE BALL WHEN YOU EAVESDROP ON HIM HOLY FUCKING SHIT I WAS RIGHT! THE RICE LOLI IS A FUCKING CENTIPEDE. FUCK YOU GUYS.
Then I get wrecked by a giant fucking snake.
I think I'll just take a break from this until after work.
It's too late you're locked out of it, you hat to follow a story line after beating him the first time.
Everything in fountainhead palace gets destroyed by poison, other than that it has got good evasive options on the later upgrades
Oh
I was gonna do NG+ anyway
>sugars only boost your ATTACK POWER, not posture damage you deal
>when you so rarely have a chance to deal HP damage
nice one miyazaki you fucking faggot
Emma's bell.
Need to eavesdrop Emma+Kuro after Owl fight 1in Kuro's room, Ishinna's Room and Sculptor's room
Purification route.
Demon of Hatred was really well telegraphed and you could actually learn the majority of his moves in phase 1 with no cutscenes. Isshins fight could change a ton based on luck and you had to go through different phases/cutscenes just to see his moves which made him a lot more annoying to learn. Personally I found Isshin harder because of this and I only beat him early out of sheer luck of button mashing and breaking his posture each phase.
Firecracker before chained ogre? Where is it?
but kuro never turns into a centipede you faggot
how does that even prove she's a centipede
Attack Power = vitality and posture damage
Unless it works otherwise, i'm pretty sure it means both.
Cool, didn't know there was diving on the game, thanks frens
>ROBERTTTTTTTTTTT
What was Miyazaki thinking?
>Emma grabs you from the air behind her
Pssh nothin personnel kid...
vendor on top of a cliff
go explore more
Just stab them bro, always does vitality damage
A merchant not too far from him perched on the highest point in the area.
t.b.h. this game's level design is complex in a bad way, I've killed butterfly lady and horseback faggot and have explored a bunch of other areas but now I literally don't know where to go. do I have to kill genechiro to unlock areas? I died a couple times to him but I only need one more prayer bead for another level so I figured I'd do that first, but I can't find new areas. also there's a locked door in the gun fort but idk where's the key. the idea of going around all the levels is so tedious
I have never been lost in souls games, there was always some cool place I wanted to go back and explore
After you kill Gyobu, turn around and go up the stairs, take a hard right at the corpse in purple, go past the entrance of the building you immediately and go down the alley on its right. After go inside the building.
Farm blue katana guys in Ashina Castle Upper Antechamber. They have a low drop rate though, so try ringing the bell in Senpou Temple and using those balloons.
Kind of near the dying guy and his mother
That's the second possible fire cracker. There's one earlier than that
Honestly the Roberto in the Japanese language edition must have been an oversight, Why would a father pronounce his son's name in a foreign dialect?
WAIT
if 2ape is optional, where do I go from the poison pool idol?
I just beat the chained orge, should I go back and give the old lady's bell to the Sculptor/buddha thing or should Ikeep moving forward?
>mfw I farmed them and literally got like 10 confettis in a row the first time and now the drop rate is shit
that was some weird luck
It doesn't prove you are a centipede that is correct but it is another breadcrumb left by the lore designers that points to the Rice Loli not being as "divine" as most make her out to be. Things are not lining up.
how many hidden walls are there?
I know about the one in hirata estate and one near the antechamber in ashina castle
>that deathblow when you kill the noble that enfeebled you
Nice
I'm still at the carp atm, can I still unlock that?
You are intended to kill Genichiro first, but the game lets you explore wherever you want.
The Gun Fort is the only place the game noticeably gates your progression, you can go anywhere else and complete those areas without even stepping foot inside Ashina Castle.
if you fought ape before mibu village you have no choice but to go thru 2ape
that's straight up told to you though. did you even pay any attention? she's engineered, artificial, man-made.
Mibu village has one above you, took me ages to find that shit
2ape spawn only after you beat 1ape.
Bell is optional, but it's worth doing early imo.
it's too early to be asking questions already faggot, just be yourself
>20 fucking monkeys on one spot
>2xp each
Thanks myazaki-san
FUCK
