N64 Zeldas are vastly overrated, top down is the superior format

I'll be honest, I think it's the worst 3D Zelda. I still think all of them hold up enough to be enjoyable now though.

>game that is outdated is outdated
HIRE THIS MAN

ITT plebs

Top down is like watching black and white movies without sound, god i fucking hate boomers

This is the last 3D Zelda I haven't played. Should I go for N64 WAD on the Wii or the 3DS remake? What should I expect?

I really don't know how people can prefer OoT to MM

This and only this. MM is undisputed best Zelda and Action Adventure out there.

i think both are enjoyable so, up to you; I would recommend N64 just to get the og experience

early polygonal graphics have aged like meat left out in the sun
it wouldnt be so bad if they just LOOKed bad but because it was so new, all 3D games PLAY like garbage too, usually at an awful framerate with frequent drops when things start to happen

>lock onto enemy in oot at a funny angle
>camera swings around
>suddenly 6fps slideshow for a few seconds

N64 version is the original and how it should be played. 3DS version however does have some welcome quality of life improvement, at the cost of dumbed down boss battles.

user, are you really playing retro games to then complain about them being outdated?

3DS remake fucks some stuff up.

Wii VC > 3DS remake >>>>>>> GC port

Same. MM not only had a more and better content to do, looked graphically superior+ran smoother, but it also learned from the mistakes from OOT.

>Ice Arrows and Bombchu now required to progress instead of being a useless reward
>Dungeon puzzles require more thought now
>Upgrades are earned through actually playing the game instead of just being handed out for visiting 1 location
>Switches up the gameplay by allowing Link to transform into different models
>Game felt more of a challenge in general with the time limit and mini games

Hard to say. The boss battles and some aesthetics are fucked in the 3DS port but the N64 is more of a drag. 3DS also has fishing which is nice

Shit bait but thanks for the Zelda thread

MM is my favourite Zelda but I get why someone would like OoT over it. It is a much grander epic adventure. MM wins me over just because I've never played anything like it

>much grander epic adventure
I wouldn't call it that but OoT is much more of a standard Zelda adventure that didn't stray too far from ALTTP's formula so I can see why people prefer it over MM and if I played MM before I played OoT I would've felt the same way
I love both OoT and MM but MM is my all time favorite simply because it's OoT continued, a whole new adventure with the same Link we helped guide through his previous adventure in a new and mysterious land

Goemon is the superior 3D arpg

The 2.5 platformer and SNES game are better
