There are people who unironically think sekiro is the greatest action game of all time

Not sure about greatest but it's the hardest action game of all time no doubt.

Not really. NGB on Master Ninja difficulty still takes the cake there by a considerable margin.

It has great balanced between fast and methodical
On one hand it isnt button mashing like Devil may shit or Bayonetta and on other it isnt as slow and as repetitive as Dark Souls
game's fire and people hating it are idiots

It's the greatest Fromsoft game.

i cant beat madam butterfly

Bayo isn't a button masher tho

Did you beat Lady Maria in Bloodborne? Same concept.

i've never owned a playstation :(

>It isn't button mashy
>Mashing L1 is most of the gameplay

Okay well when you dodge her attacks, dodge straight at her. You will conveniently find yourself behind her to attack. Rinse and repeat.

I don't get this whole mashing L1 thing, when I do it I just get killed faster.

Its not the greatest action game but its definitely the best fromsoft game

git gud

Very much this, coming from a Souls fanboy since Demon's.
This game is the best feelings of Souls emphasized. The cautious exploration from Souls + actual stealth mechanics, not just backstabs
World design is 10/10, they brought back vendors in the world and NPCs that you need to remind where they were to visit again.
Fantastic NPC awareness of your progress, unlike anything they've done.
Lack of minimal RPG stat gains, it's meaningful upgrades that add reason to keep replaying the same segment and not getting bored of it.
Shit the combat system as a whole STILL hasn't made the Katana boring to use.
The amount of desisions being made per second and strategical removal of enemies is fucking good.
I never knew I enjoyed stealth games before.

Thank fuck, ill go try this in a sec.
I found an infinite with shurikens if you go
1-2-3 shuriken 1-2-3 shuriken
always gets at least a hit in, and if you get her into a wall, 16 shurikens isnt enough to delete her second and first phase tho

I wanted to practice parrying with that Ashina Elite guy but I got so frustrated I ended up killing him the regular way. I don't think I'll ever understand how parrying works in this game.

>all these little zoomers saying Sekiro is the hardest shit

You little baby faggots have never played a real game in your life.

The distance between you and the enemy matter A LOT more than in Souls. This is why people feel it's inconsistent, they might be a step too close or too far.

Isn't this shit a decade+ old?

>muh gay skeleton game
KEK Neither have you, faggot

Better than dmc

its second best from game after bloodborne, infinity better than dark souls 3

a different difficulty doesn't count. only default

I beat bayoneta by mashing buttons
cant do the same in Sekiro

mashing L1 will ultimately be harder than just timing the attacks due to parry window shrinking if you aren't doing it consistently on-beat
>but I did the whole game doing it!!
would have been easier and felt better in the long run if you hadn't

>ninja gaiden
>hard

Parrying feels sluggish no matter what you do because it has a delay between when you press the button and when wolf parries.

>caring about old man games

I did

didn't notice. must have adapted by the time I hit the tutorial miniboss because I've never had a problem with timing it other than with sword saint delaying his attacks

maybe in normal

I've been stuck on this guy for 3 days now. 9 hours in total of trying to kill him. I've killed Lady Butterfly, Gyobu, Flaming Bull and some other mini bosses. I just can't kill this fucker.

Please help...

MGSR is the greatest action game of all time.

>being a fucking zoomer

Is there an idol that is close to him? I disregarded him because the journey was too tedious.

the ninja in the pit is worse for me.

i cannot tell if you're serious or not. he's easily one of the easiest minibosses in the whole game. make sure you have that skill where you can dash toward a thrust attack to counter it.

this game isnt hard and i played it on a handheld

it's the greatest game of all time period

Oh look, it's this guy.

People complaing about Lady Butterfly, but after just a few tries her moveset was incredibly easy to predict. Also, even without snap pees, you can just run around if she manages to spawn her illusions.

But this fucking guy seems to have a counter to whatever I do. Parry? Insta unblockable with HUGE reach. Dodge? He's heat-seeking and connects anyways. Interrupt with shuriken? tackle that stun-locks me then a thrust that takes 75% hp.

You're completely right on all those points. Sekiro is very much equal to Bloodborne in terms of quality, and in the general radicalization of change/evolution of the Souls formula.

Oh look, it's the guy asking for help Yea Forums when he could easily just Google his problem.

NGB is harder than Sekiro on default difficulty too

Well fuck him for trying to discuss video games, let's go make a Twitter screencap thread!

user don't give shitposters ammo like this

i knew general genchiro was too easy, then he got that lightening form and continues to lay on the PTSD.

>mash L1 mindlessly
>dies
Yup, that's good techniqe

It's not the greatest, but it's pretty fucking great.

I had more fun with Ninja Gaiden 2.

Bayo is great. Play on Hard with dodge offset.

Maybe if you're playing for the first time.

yeah, i struggle with the spear guys and i cant seem to find an area where i can practice soley on them.

Can't you mikiri counter them? The timing depends on the distance. If they're close, you press it fast, if they are far you delay it a bit waiting for the spear to get in range for the counter.
