They found inanimate puddles of flesh all over the ship when they first saved it which were the human remains of the Necromorphs when there was no Marker to animate them if I remember right but they reanimated when the Marker was brought onto the Sprawl.

I was under the impression the logs were made roughly around the time the Marker was put on the Sprawl since it would explain all the sounds very easily. Maybe not immediately with the outbreak but it seems like several people died in there considering all the Brutes, babies, and Advanced Necromorphs everywhere. Those can't all be from outside.

I think it must have all been hallucinations for the janitorial staff. Hell, as soon as issac boards the ship he starts having them as well. (seperate from the "make us whole" ones)

The Marker caused the outbreak itself, Vandal allowed the Necromorphs to spread outside of their contained areas (Wasn't intentional, it was a Unitologist giving her bad information).

im pretty sure the marker wasn't fully at fault here and so is tiedmann, its one of its spinoff game or novel that tells how shit starts to hit the fan.

But by that point the outbreak had been happening for hours and the entire Sprawn basically went to hell outside of the military. It doesn't make sense he'd get hallucinations, he's only safe for like two or three rooms because as soon as he gets to the Stasis tutorial hallway from 1 he gets jumped by two Brutes and a horde of the things from both sides and the deeper he went the worse the Necromorphs got.

The marker is ALWAYS at fault. It sends subconscious signals that gradually make whoever recieved it go mad and obsessed with the directives it programs into them.

Well its implyed that the marker was already being constructed by the time the usg ishimura was brought to the sprawl. And we already know that the marker does not even need to be complete before it starts to have an effect on people and biomass.

For Isaac there's no way it's a hallucination simply because of how he just fought Necromorphs close to it and then a couple minutes later so the sounds and clanging he hears are probably legitimate, but you are probably right with some of what the janitors are hearing being hallucinations. One thing to keep in mind was that people lost a bunch of their tools over and over and no one was taking them so it must have been Necromorphs stalking them at that point.

But what i was refering too was theres a scene where a hugh tentacle comes and grabs him, only to disappear a sec later and leaves Issac shaking his head. Sorry if that was clear there. But yeah I just thought it issac has something like that, it would be no wonder that some staff who where cleaning the goo has something similer.

Oh, the tentacle definitely has to be a hallucination, that's my bad as well. I was thinking of just the whole scenario in general, not the tentacle in the Medical Bay and all that since it's more like PTSD to him than anything else that the Marker could manipulate.
