Ambassador allowed the Spy, once enough practice was put in, to be a strong mid range damage out putter. That also allowed him to throw his opponents into whether or not he was invis ready to go for a pick or waiting at a flank/choke with his scout to deal massive damage.
The amby is currently trash amd should be reverted to what it once was. Or at the very least, nerf the Diamondback so Valve seems to at least look like they have SOME philosophy in balancing.

Give the Classic faster charge speed and its a balanced weapon. It's already great for peeking corners since there isnt a half second movement delay after firing a scoped shot

Well it's a good thing the mercs accents were deliberately made to sound like what the average American would imagine someone from said city/country would sound like.

If scottish characters had accurate accents they'd be completely unintelligible.

What exactly is the benefit if using this weapon?

Increased cloak duration. Most useful with invis watch giving you more time to run between ammo packs while cloaked.

You get a significant upgrade to cloak time, which is your most valuable asset as Spy, and can still 3-shot snipers, scouts, non-gunslinger engineers, and other spies. The drawback only really hurts when it comes to gunning down Medics and Demos, but your cloaking gives you a better chance of landing backstabs.
