There was a method that let you amass a lot of money, grinding is the same in VV but at least when you buy a swimsuit you can always try again instead of just missing one entirely if you aren't lucky.

FYI, I logged in tonight and all those "wasted" pattern parts before the Pattern Part update suddenly counted. So I unlocked 34 additional suits out of no where. Less than 10 to go. The new Wedding Vol 2 suits are loaded, but there is no unlock key posted in the PSN store yet.

Only reason I'm playing the Steam version is for the English translation.

Believe it or not, some people like the idea of a dating sim with THE DoA girls and being able to understand what they're saying to you. I'm really enjoying the deeper interactions with Ayane. One of the complaints about Xtreme was that it made the girls act out of character, but they behave closer to their normal personalities in this.

The only weird thing in Xtreme 3 was the lack of guaranteed partners for a couple of the girls. Marie has a 3 heart already with Helena and Honoka. Ayane has fucking no one who will partner with her first thing outside of your default offering at the beginning of a vacation. Not a single girl likes Ayane without being sweetened to accepting friendship including Honoka (her half sister) and Kasumi (who she's been stuck with for years having to chase down.) Nyotengu is basically hated as well. I think Momiji was neutral with everyone, but that still means working on friendship before partnership. And the only way to get the most money is to be partnered early on with someone that already 3 heart likes you.

Also isn't there a way to do character training? It worked in the beta at least.

Sort of. If you go to the tutorials section, hit Y/triangle, you'll find character tutorials. You can mess around there but without an info box

Think of that as the difficulty levels. Friendly girls like Hitomi and Helena are easy mode since they're more likely than any of the others to get someone who likes them from the start. Ayane and Nyotengu are hard mode. In the previous Xtremes Christie was Nightmare mode since she didn't like anyone and hated being visited more than once per day, making it very hard to gift your way into her good graces.

not having training is a huge bottleneck since you need mats to lvl/rank up the swimsuits to have better chances at everything
basically, if you only 2 two characters focus on unlocking a 3rd asap, but this also could conflict with not being able to have chance to roll for the girl/swimsuit you want

It doesn't really make much difference. You'll get them all eventually and either way you might get unlucky and get her SSR last.

You can either play the game until you get a decent number of stones to roll, or just do the tutorial roll. Depends on how crazy you are, and how much time you're willing to invest into each new account.
