It ran fine last time I checked on the emu, then I got to Boletaria and my fps tanked to below 20 when I was looking towards the phalanx room. Guess I'll check again in a couple of months to see if they fixed it.

Last time I tried it was unplayable because it would constantly freeze and things would be popping in as shaders were being recompiled every time I entered a new area.

Played through it in RPCS3 in January of 2018.

Why bother playing DeS now? You'll only get half of the game. The real fun was the PvP on release. The fact that it was the first souls game made for widely varied builds and lots of shenanigans. It was a real good time, I didn't encounter a scraping spear faggot until a month later.

How does storm ruler manage to look better in DeS than in DS3? DeS has so many cool weapon designs, still waiting for an equal to the soulbrandt.

Ive been playing DS2 and its been ass so far.

Loved 1 and 3 but the hitboxes and swings speeds in 2 are unbearable

the compilation is async once you compile most of the area other parts shouldn't be as bad
RPCS3 recently introduced audio buffering which fixes audio stuttering

Extremely minor visual bugs.

The only notable compiling I got was loading in the first area and in the nexus. Going through those two areas is generating roughly 95% of the shaders in the game. If your CPU is good you don't even notice it either for this game.

Curiously only the newer RPCS3 builds had audio stutter in Demons Souls for me, partly why I decided to use this older build where I knew it wasn't an issue. I dunno how the game runs on modern RPCS3, might be good might not be.

Literally all shields of that type don't render at all, all you're doing is refusing to prove you don't have bugs by refusing to post screenshots of places and items with known bugs and refusing to post your supposed magic build.

nigger the shields literally do not show up at all. Every character or enemy with them equipped just has a invisible shield.

I'm not lying like the post above my last one, the game runs like a dream 0 lag 0 crahes silky smooth 30fps(I can even handle solid 60fps but the gameplay is sped up). I posted a picture of the 3 tiny bugs already.

Then check it out because it's not just that shield that doesn't render, but it's easiest way to check if the missing geometry bug is still there since that shield is on one of the starting loadouts (forgot which one).
By choosing it and seeing that the shield is missing you effectively know that the bug is still there.

Which one? I don't want to lose my souls so I'm going to kill a boss instead but that might be faster.

It's not just a shield you dumb ape, it's a small easily testable symptom of a much bigger issues with A LOT of geometry such as entire fucking enemy and even one boss being invisible:

Play Persona 5 as your first Persona game, it's the best one by far. Play Persona 4 after that and I would recommend Persona 4 vanilla unless you have a vita since P4 Golden is only on Vita

60fps is very demanding in P5 when you get to the school, you're going to drop frames regardless of your CPU probably.

Okay yeah then maybe you should just emulate Persona 3 and 4 in that case. However you can still buy a PS3 cheap for around $100 new and even less used and that will allow you to play P2EP, P3, P4, P5, and a bunch of SMT games easily from the PSN store where they're cheap like $10

I think P3 is a bit better than P4 but P4 is probably a better place to start for newcomers because its mechanics are more accessible, although it was a harder game for me than P3. Getting a PS3 is definitely a good purchase though just from the massive library it has of other games you may be interested in like the Drakengard series, original Nier, etc.
The games have provided me with so many hours of fun I can honestly say that it's worth the price, there's 5 great Shin Megami Tensei games on there, and the Persona games I mentioned which are all some of the best games I've ever played. $10 for such a massive game like P4 and P3 is well worth the money.
