PSA: Nintendo Labo sets are on clearance for 75% off at all Targets
Just scored the vehicle kit today thanks to a kindly user notifying me
The sale has been up for 4 days though so your mileage may vary, I visited two Targets and one had only one vehicle and robot kit left and the other had nothing left.
>doesn't include family pass
gay
About to start Vesperia and the Messenger. Thinking about getting Shantae and the Pirate's Curse to so I can play both the most recent Shantae games in time for 5. And also somewhat looking forward to Yoshi.
im not unfortunately. i wish they ported WW instead
Unironically now, how comfy would it be if Nintendo went 3rd party. imagine playing nintendo games on almost anything.
user it's unhealthy to have delusional fantasies
Nah, there's nothing interesting about it at all.
Wanted to buy one, but some asshole bought all of them an hour before I went to the store on Sunday.
Nah not really, the next big release I'm waiting for is Labo VR and Super Mario Maker 2
I'm downloading the Dead Cells DLC. I've played that game almost as much as Smash. I won't have much money for games this years save for Pokémon and Cuphead.
>cash payment $100
The Dead Cells dlc is only on PC for now, right?
Setting up random CPU stock battles on Smash while my controller chargers. Going to pick up Yoshis game tomorrow.
Should I wait for an AC game for Switch, or should I get a 3DS and get ACNL? I’m obsessed with Isabelle
>using Twitch
>ever
I'd just wait for Animal Crossing Switch personally, it's not worth getting invested into a new town just to end up dropping it later this year or getting burnt out on AC before the new one.
What even is this? Is it like Lego?
Nigger.
There's no guarantee we'll be getting Puzzle League/Tetris Attack again though.
Uh, an update was available on Switch and I'm downloading it now. Now I'm not so sure.
If you have to stay subbed to Twitch Prime all year then it is a shit deal. Unless of course you are a stupid zoomer who watches ecelebs and donates daddy's money.
Worth signing up to a 99c week of Amazon Prime to get NSO? Do you only get 3 months or the full year?
But we fantasize about getting P5 on Switch.
Docking my switch in my boys dock to play my downloaded games.
>have Prime
>just bought a the Splat2 + year of switch online bundle two days ago on sale
At least I don't have to pay for a couple of years, I guess.
Splatoon is so fun that I don't really care.
Has anyone gotten FFVII on Switch? Is it worth it?
Tell us what version it is when it finishes downloading. The last update was 1.1 or maybe 1.1.1 about a month ago.
>finally get my hands on a Switch and BOTW
>love the game, looking forward to spending many hours on it
>Splatoon 2 gets a free trial
>try it because what the hell, squids are cute and a short break would be fine
>haven't picked up BOTW since
This wasn't supposed to happen.
You only get three months. If you wanna save six bucks then go for it I guess.
Basically cardboard peripherals that come bundled with game software
It walks you through the building process in-game with a really neat tutorial with fully rotatable 3D models and a pause/play function.
Then once you've built it you get to play the game with it. They're surprisingly well made and utilize some neat tricks to function.
People love to needlessly shitpost about it but at the end of the day it's pretty cool
You can speed up battles, but there's a bug which causes the area music to start over after every battle.
>I'm actually going to buy the fucking console for the rune factory games
Whatever, aside the console, should I buy anything essential? not games, I mean memory sticks or some shit.
Bruh I can't stand Splatoon, and I got some free dlc too
No games, overpriced shitty tablet. Truly the comfiest comfy general.
Danganronpa port
Same here, add me guys
SW-6212-8554-1816
Dang bros... we got BTFO... time to shut it down...
is it okay to leave it on the dock all the time
Damn, I hope I didn't get all excited for nothing. I'll let you know.
Switch owner here, agreed, that's why I put CFW on it and torrented my games.
>REEEEEEEEE THEY LIKE A CONSOLE I DON'T LIKE
On the plus side, that update did add improvements such as running at almost constant 60fps and the custom run mode.
Looking forward to Super Dragon Ball Heroes, playing the Demo got me pumped
You may want a pro controller and/or an extra set of joycons. The joycons seem pretty fragile, but it's also in my opinion supremely comfortable to play games with one in each hand which can't be replicated with a traditional controller. As far as cards go if you're not really planning on playing much 64gb should do fine.
Yes.
That's what the dock is for user
I have a hacked switch, so I can't go online. What are the 5 best single player switch games?
Alright thanks, I'm just a fan of rune factory and now that finally the series getting revived I though might as well get the console and play 4 since I didn't back in the day.
Guess I'll pick up a controller and extra pair of joycons, I'm only planning playing at home anyway.
You'll really want to get a pro controller or at least a case/grip like this one
What games are you expecting from VR?
Taiko's the only thing I'm really into right now, I'm trash but I like music so it's fun. Funnily enough I've ended up playing songs I didn't know about more than the ones I got the game for.
Man I love Splatoon, I need to play it more than I do. Wasn't sure I'd like it cause I'm not too into multiplayer but it's a blast.
It has 32gb storage in it, so if you plan on getting a lot of digital games you'll want a micro sd but otherwise you shouldn't have to worry for a while. Only other question would be if you want a pro controller, or some third party one with a nice dpad or something.
>supremely comfortable to play games with one in each hand
I love doing that how else are you supposed to dance to the credits in Bayonetta given you still have to play.
wrong pic, sory
Playing Yoshi's Crafted World, got it a day early. Looking forward to Luigi's Mansion 3 and ASTRAL CHAIN mostly.
Smash online fixed when? Better matchmaking, change characters without leaving, less lag when?
>no longer have hardware sales to help fund more risky titles
>we just get mario/zelda/smash over and over and over
Nah, take one look at what happened to sega and you'll see how uncomfy that would be
The games for kit 1 were pretty 1 and done for me, and i was afraid to get the robot one because I'm like 6"2'. What are the games for the vehicle kit? Just more racing?
I wish the fishing game had better catch tracking and more locations
All these
youtube.com
I got the robot kit at launch and it was kind of a one and done deal with no replay value. This however seems to have some more depth to it, especially the VR Garage which looks fucking dope. Can't wait to try and program my own little games in a VR space.
Keep making those generals, shitposter
Xenoblade 2
Mario Odyssey
Zelda Botw
Octopath Traveler
Bayonetta 2
The best price to storage ratio on a micro SD card are the Sandisk/Samsung 256GB ones or the Sandisk 400GB ones. Only buy reputable brands and if you buy a micro SD card from Amazon, be sure to test it with H2testw even it's sold and shipped by Amazon. Amazon commingles their stock with what other sellers sell.
Might want to consider buying a glass screen protector if you're concerned about it ever getting scratched.
We gotta be getting our first footage of this soon
Anyone here picking it up?
Do you have one where you're holding it with your feet?
>Whactha playing and looking forward to bros?
Finishing the Octo Expansion so i can move to World of Final Fantasy Maxima and FF7/FF9
Also, i recommend this 3D action adventure game called Mulaka, it's pretty good.
you don't have to use it. If you have amazon prime you already have twitch prime so just make a free account and link it to your amazon prime.
Thinking of getting Hollow Knight on Switch. How does it compare to versions on other platforms? Thought it may be nice buying it on the Switch with the benefit of comfy portability.
The robot kit comes with plenty of string, you'd be able to use it. Though as you said, it's kind of a one and done novelty thing. I had fun with it for a week when it came out and it's been hanging on my wall since.
>Giant enemy crab
Why yes
>Playin
Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Pretty good so far.
>Lookin forward to
Fire Emblem is looking pretty good.
>dmc v
>ac8
>kh3
>sekiro
Sold mine to buy a pc instead
Cant wait to play astral on yuzu and hope they show more of smt v soon
The vehicle kit has sort of an open world for you to go around and do little quests. There's also a battle mode with extending fists on the cars, a rally race where you have to go through rings before time runs out, and a slot car game.
97 twins
Xenoblade 2
Sonic Mania (not exclusive but still really good)
Mario + Rabbids
You DID make a NAND backup before you did anything, right user? Because if you restore to a clean NAND you can go back online
Garage will be better than Dreams, which is sad. Six years and we're only now getting the beta.
youtube.com
it'll burn the battery out
That’s what I was leaning towards. There are a few titles I wouldn’t mind picking up for it though.
>How does it compare to versions on other platforms?
Identical.
>If you put the console in the dock or plug in the AC Adapter directly to charge before the battery is completely spent, it will only count as a partial charging cycle. Leaving the console on the dock or plugged in directly with the AC adapter overnight, or past the point where the battery is fully charged will not cause harm to the battery.
I’m sure it won’t
What do you guys recommend for local multiplayer that is:
>preferably co-op but versus is ok
>single joycon per person
I'm already waiting for an Overcooked price drop. And how is it Shovel Knight co-op mode?
>cash payment 100 dollars
When you are on your way to a your escort appointment but realize there is a discount on nintendo shit
It consistently amazes me how friendly people are in MHGU. I don't remember people being this chatty even in 4U or Gen.
Player 2 is green shovel knight. You can only co-op in the Shovel Knight campaign, and it's possible to hit each other although not directly for damage. It's pretty fun. If you have the amiibo one of you can use the custom knight feature to get a bunch of alternate powers and visual effects.
hot damn, there's a demo?
imo the m+r multiplayer modes are extremely underrated
I got my Switch from Walmart and they gave me this dogshit controller with buttons that keep getting stuck if I press them with any kind of pressure. I'd be pissed if it weren't "free".
Other than that I love my Switch and I'm currently playing Golf Story and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 NG+.
I don0t know if Snipperclips counts but I got it so I had something to play with my girlfriend and it's pretty fun
Silly question but the campaign is the normal, main game mode, right?
Yeah.
I'm playing GRIS at the moment. I love the music so far and got to the blue side. Looking forward to Cuphead (never played it), the new Smash DLC, Animal Crossing's new game and Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Halo Infinite
Gears 6
Forza 5
Scalebound
Cyberpunk 2077
Borderlands 3
System Shock Remaster
#GodModeXbox :)
Co-op for how many people and which people?
ASTRAL

>m+r
The what now
Yeah, I already have it. It was very fun, but too short.
>playing
I've been playing Baba is You for a few hours. It feels good to beat levels brainlet rage at
>looking forward to
Nothing really, aside for the big names with no release date. Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime, etc
>wishes
Factorio would be awesome
mario and rabbids kingdom battle
I'm guessing Mario + Rabbids.
So how does the deal work? Do I just have to get 1 free month trial of Prime then pay for 1 month and quit to get 12 months of Nintendo? If I have to stay subbed to Prime then fuck that.
What can you tell me for 2 people and for party situations, and for people that are autistic like me all the way to normalfags.
Forgot to mention, already own Snipperclips and Nine Parchments.
>playan
BOTW
>looking forward to
Dragon's Dogma next month. I could get it on my PC but I want to get it on my Switch for the portability.
You can get it through the free trial, but they're only giving 3 months right now. The 3 months won't run out even if your Prime runs out. When the 3 months runs out, they'll be doing a 9 month promotion. It's not clear if you need to maintain Prime until then or if you can take the free trial now and then pay for a month or something later and get the 9 months that way.
Ah ok
Just 2 people or you plus 2?
Bought this for 650 pesos new (about 35 dollars) is it a good price?
Also, where/when can I buy BotW, Odissey and Bayonetta 2 cheap? I'm going to USA this june, is there any retail store that has very low prices?
snipperclips and kirby
What's the likelihood of Project Mirai on Switch?
For now just 2. Me plus 1. Eventually I wanna buy 2 more joycons and then get more games that involve more people, but so far I've only got the 2 out of the box joycons.
Only option for low prices on new games is the facebook marketplace, but when it comes to big retailers games rarely go on sale (aside form shovelware), I don't think I've ever seen BotW drop in price.
I think amazon sometimes sells it for 5 - 10 dollars less. Your best bet are probably;
- e-shop sale during a special event: I remember iu bought a link between worlds on the eshop for 10 bucks sale the same year it was released during the Game wawards I think, although a couple of years later they made it permanently 20 dollars or something
-Sometimes Best Buy or walmart has a 2 x 1 games sale, but I can't say if there'll be one for sure during June
-Black Friday: Bayonetta 2 was 35 bucks I believe, but you can get those sales in amazon too, so no need to go retail.
What are some good online multiplayer games?
Oh yeah and maybe nintendo selects? Not sure if they still make those
Ok. What is P2s gender identity?
Splatoon 2 is all you need baby
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime
Inversus
Death Squared
Kingdom Two Crowns
Super Mario Party (there's a teams mode)
Travis Strikes Again
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (technically one person on the Switch and another reading a bomb defusal manual)
Pircross games
Steredenn: Binary Stars
Pac-Man Championsip Edition 2 Plus
Aqua Kitty UDX
Crypt of the Necrodancer
Enter the Gungeon (uses gyro for aiming with single joycon)
Tiny Barbarian DX
Don't remember if single joycon:
Broforce
Streets of Red
Man/male/apache helicopter
>Enter the Gungeon (uses gyro for aiming with single joycon)
Playing Gungeon with a single joycon is a miserable experience, don't try it It's a good game otherwise.
Well I just read that the update that came out today was just for Steam :/
The devs said it'll come to consoles probably in about two months.
Convince me to buy one of these
Thanks man, gonna look into all those titles.
>that GBA/PS1 pixel art style
Fucking neato.Take notes devs, pixel art doesn't have to look ugly as shit.
Yeah just read that too, wish I'd known about that before getting all pumped up.
>mortal kombat 11 impressions are positive
>but no fucking footage
I'm a wee bit bothered, you could say.
If you like anything Nintendo (Zelda, Mario, Smash, Mario Kart) it'll be worth it. Also, a ton of indie support and really fun games in general.
Played the demo straight away and yes I actually am, was fun
>this
>that game yacht club is publishing i forget the name of
>ninja warriors
>the messenger
What's with all these ninja games recently? I ain't complaing though.
How dare you post a good looking trailer without any indication of a release date.
Just started Shantae and the Pirate's Curse and it immediately feels great to play.
Ninjas come after zombies in the loop of game themes.
>yfw faggots want to sell bayonetta 2 without 1 code for 700 pesos

>Whactha playing
Blaster Master Zero: 2
>and looking forward to bros?
Mario maker 2 or Link's awakening
Thank you for this fucking post holy shit.
Went up to target and scored all three.
Dragon's Dogma for 30 bucks seems like such a good deal compared to what's usual. FFIX at 21 euros should be a bannable offense.
yeah, saw those shady niggers too, if they're gonna sell half the game they might aswell sell it for half the price.
Besides you get like 3 dollars for each switch game you register on the eshop, not much but it's something.
I'm concerned Dragon's Dogma is going to run like shit. Have there been any videos of the Switch version?
I don't know but I am desperate for a good rhythm game that isn't Taiko or the Rayark games.
Ughh, you're right, it ran like dogshit on PS3. Well, the Switch is more powerful, as demonstrated by Dark Souls, I hope it runs a steady 30.
I’m so excited for Animal Crossing. My girlfriend(male) and I both can’t wait.
Playing Splat
And Splat girl in Smash
Also Splat girl in MK8
Thinking of getting either Baba is You or FFVII
>playing a shitton of Hundred Knight Revival on PS4
>found the weapon alchemy shit pretty fun, basically just RNG weapon upgrades that add extra passives to your weapons while making them strong as fuck
>but it's kind of a side thing and can be powered through in a matter of hours
>now have a hunger for a loot grindan game where weapons have generated effects on Switch
How is Diablo 3 for this? Never played the Diablo games before.
is yoshi the worst nintendo series?
what is this for
Is Splatoon 2 worth getting as an online timewaster? Will I make friends?
Yes
No, unless you count people who randomly add you after a match
>playing
Got in a few rounds of Splatoon. Going back to Vesperia.
>looking forward to
Replaying Dragon's Dogma, Mario Maker 2.
Valkyria Chronicles 4 is 20 bucks on Amazon. Y/N?
Now that I think of it, probably. Even the most soulless line of Mario games have more good games than Yoshi has.
35 for the big box version with physical stuff and $10 of dlc.
something happened after yoshi island DS
Not sure if the games have been getting worse though, since it's basically the same thing since SMW2, maybe it's that, Ir emember i started hatting new super mario bros after I got to play 2.
Yoshi has only had one excellent game (Island) and one decent game (Woolly World)
Everything else is objectively shit
I'd give Yoshi's Island DS a break, but I haven't played that in ages.
There was a live stream by capcom for the switch version and it looks like it runs well enough
youtu.be
Certainly one of the weakest in terms of good games.
it's a good 20 dollar game
>Playin
Tetris 99 and Tales of Vesperia. Tying to figure out why my characters are 10 levels lower than the enemies.
>Looking forward to
Daemon X Machina Astral Chain and SMT 5
Any decent porn game for the Switch?
DoA and SENRAN KAGURA Revelations are both weak
DS doesn't deserve a break for forced baby swapping mechanic that doesn't even properly balance out the use of each baby, bland level design, the gap between screens being a blind spot, and the WORST music in a Yoshi game.
>but the kazoos in New Haha
That was shit, but it's still better.
youtube.com
youtube.com
Why'd you link to such shit art? Did you draw it?
Fucking awful taste my man
Why do I have to put an "automatic payment" method in if its a free 12 months?
I feel like theyll just start automatically taking large incriments of all three services
Surprisingly, Splatoon is very similar to Overwatch in the sense that matches feel very random, ultimates in 2 aren't as "press Q to win" like they were in 1 so that's better I guess (Although they're kinda boring now.) So if you liked that game you'll like Splatoon.
Also gyro aiming feels very organic once you get used to it, much better than just aiming with the analog stick.
>actually downloading Fortnite and Warframe
The first pic's not that bad, don't be mean
Fuck. I'm nostalgic for the shitty DS version
Minecraft on switch straight slaps, $30 is kinda pricey though
Can you play jackbox through piracy, without going online? So I can do some local multiplayer with my friends
Warframe isnt on my current sd card and my brother downloaded Fortnite
What? Is it the Fortnite?
yoshis island is pretty good
>intro music plays
>feel sad that im getting old
I liked the babys mechanic...
Can anyone please answer this?
same. I enjoyed some of the extra stuff you had to get with certain babies
Hope they release an HD Super Mario galaxy 1+2 or maybe metroid prime hd 1+2+3 game.
Never got to play them, i got a modded wii and played mario galaxy but didn't enjoy the first couple of levels, maybe i'll give it a chance again instead of waiting for a re-release
Is it worth 100%ing Yoku's Island Express? I've already got the golden badge and shit but some of those chests are such a pain to reach.
It's a neat idea, but the execution is poor.
>Mario is basically the original controls
>Peach is completely unnecessary since previous Yoshi games let you ride air currents by flutter jumping
>Peach also removes your dash and eggs can no longer bounce off walls
>Baby DK can climb vines, but most areas with vines could have easily replaced them with platforms or springs
>Baby DK also gimps eggs
>Baby Wario's gimmick is buggy
>Baby Bowser is a fire melon
I just take what I can get. And it's the newest piece featuring the pairing in like a year or two. Foot stuff is a bit eh but that was probably inevitable with Shinobu's TSA design.
Can I get 1 year of switch online with amazon's 30 day trial?
It's way more likely that they release the emulation they've been doing for China over the last year or so. I really hope they announce it this year.
Yep Jap only though
2 is probably the best 3D Mario since 64. You're really missing out not playing it.
can switch emulate Wii/wiiu? Because i'm sure nintendo hates everything that happened in the gamecube era.
>Squad 7, except only Alicia's VA returns
>Edy DLC
not worth it
>heard mario odyssey was good
>its mediocre as fuck
>i got a modded wii and played mario galaxy but didn't enjoy the first couple of levels
If it was the levels that bored you and not the garbage momentum/movement skip to 2.
Galaxy 1's first levels were very underwhelming, I expected another 64/Sunshine experience but levels were so linear, it reminds me more of 3D land, even though the levels are pretty big and pretend to be open world.
oh yeah, that to, it felt too slow.
This is what the end game for Nintendies looks like
Nintendo themselves considers the Galaxy games linear and not sandbox like 64 and Sunshine. You’re better off with Odyssey if that’s what you want.
Switch shares hardware with the Shield, and Nintendo has been selling emulated copies of Wii games on the Shield (Punch Out, NSMBWii, Mario Galaxy, Zelda Twilight Princess and more if I remember correctly). It wouldn't be far fetched to think they will eventually release this onto the Switch, it'd make quite a bit of money.
As for the Wii U, they're already porting mostly everything to Switch, so it doesn't really matter (it can't just emulate it, obviously)
Was tempted to get a switch, but the rumor of a pro and mobile version is putting me off. How probable are they?
Odyssey felt oddly soulless while the Galaxy games (especially 2) are bursting with charm.
that's your personal bias
the only mario game that's legit soulless is nsmb2
Playing Turok
Looking forward to
>Turok 2
>Cuphead
>Dragons Dogma
>Mortal Kombat
>Crash team racing
>Metroid Prime 4
>Spyro
I was also disappointed but it's hard to tell what is wrong with the game. It's all I always asked from Nintendo: a proper sequel to the Super Mario Galaxy style, in which you explore huge worlds. But it still falls short somehow.
Maybe it's because instead of having one single grand objective for the entire world, the player's attention is diverted in several dozen of tiny objectives. There are moons everywhere, hiding among the stupidest places ever, and if you go into a world for the first time you'll be bumping into moons left and right even if you're not trying to actively look for them.
The problem of overloading the player with rewards is that they stop feeling good after a while. If I boot Odyssey now and start looking for moons I'll just run out of patience quickly, especially as I watch the "moon found" 5 seconds cutscene that gets old very quickly.
I wish Nintendo drops this gimmick for the next big 3D Mario game and instead makes it so you go into each world with very few objectives. And I also hope they introduce the gravity mechanic again, that was amazing.
you just grew up user, odyssey has soul
NSMBU and Wii are pretty soulless too.
>Odyssey felt oddly soulless
Odyssey literally bleeds soul. You just wanted Galaxy 3.
>literally
>not actually literally
please tell me why you use that word exclusively at instances where it is not supposed to be used
>It's all I always asked from Nintendo: a proper sequel to the Super Mario Galaxy style
Odyssey is not a sequel to the Galaxy style. If anything, Galaxy 1 & 2 were the base for 3D Land and 3D World.
>Super Mario Galaxy style, in which you explore huge worlds
bullshit, you don't explore shit in mario galaxy, they send you off a path depending on whatever mission you choose while blocking off the rest of the level.
If he can say "soulless" then I can say "literally"
>The year 2019 of the God Emperor of Mankind
>Still using cash
Disgusting.
No, Odyssey just felt really shallow and it certainly wasn't difficult like the later parts of Galaxy 2. Doing the same shit to get moons over and over again wasn't fun.
>a proper sequel to the Super Mario Galaxy style, in which you explore huge worlds
>a proper sequel to the Super Mario Galaxy style
??????
yeah that was my problem with the game, getting moons wasn't satisfying at all since there are so many of them and most are a complete joke to get. I can't say I was impressed by the world design either
>Odyssey is not a sequel to the Galaxy style. If anything, Galaxy 1 & 2 were the base for 3D Land and 3D World.
No, 3D Land and 3D World have absolutely nothing to do with the Galaxy games. I say this as someone who hated 3D Land/World and has SMG/SMG2 as my favorite Mario games.
3D Land and 3D World are heavily based on 2D games such as Super Mario World. They took the formula of a small world that must be cleared under a timer of about 5 minutes and adapted it to 3D games. I hate it because I like exploring and it's not pleasurable to do that while a timer ticks.
In Odyssey I can take my own time, that's why I consider it a sequel to SMG/SMG2.
>Doing the same shit to get moons over and over again wasn't fun.
But it's okay when comets and green stars do it.
Alright, I admit it, I'm lost. I've been trying off and on to beat this game since it came out on the PS3. I always give up around the same point and wait so long to come back that I just start a new game. I'm playing offline because poor so no summons.
Here's the quick rundown: I've killed Asylum Demon, Taurus Demon, Bell Gargoyles, Gaping Dragon, Capra Demon, and Moonlight Butterfly. The bosses I've managed to find so far are the Stray Demon and the Great Grey Wolf Sif. Both are utterly wrecking me, but I'm faring much better against Stray Demon atm. I have been to the ruins below Firelink, and heard that a divine weapon cam kill ghosts so I found the ember in the Forest and enchanted my wooden club after hours of raping slimes for a couple of green shards and it does nothing and the ghosts still ohko me. I have two transient curses but I don't want to use them because I don't know how long they last and they are expensive af. I have also discovered blighttown but fuck that place in general, there's toxic and even with a ton of moss everything one shots me and I can't even run through it without dying. I also found the Valley of the Drakes and that place is harder than the other two combined.
see
>I like exploring
The first Galaxy barely had any "open" galaxies while 2 nearly ditched the whole space thing entirely. So many of 2's levels (while fun) are platforms on sky backdrops attempting to be 2D.
Playing the Japanese version of FFVII for language practice, Along with Crafted World. Can answer any questions about Yoshi, been playing for a couple hours.
you should even be going to new londo ruins yet, go to blighttown
Yes, when the tasks you have to complete to get them are fun.
I'm gonna buy the switch pro if it turns out to be real and below 400€. I'm glad I haven't bought it yet.
>3D Land and 3D World have absolutely nothing to do with the Galaxy games
>linear obstacle courses with gimped controls and limited movement options compared to 64, Sunshine, Odyssey
pretty similar to me
Unironically yes, comets and green stars were fun as fuck, especially green stars, they reminded me of alternate exits in SMW
And what makes them good is the fact you play through a long level to get a star, and the green star places you in the same long level but you know that you must do one thing differently to get that alternate star. It's about the build-up. Odyssey doesn't have that, the stars are scattered everywhere and you rarely have to work on the "long term" for one
I hope as we learn more, Astral Chain gains more hype. It looks like such a cool game.
The majority of those were just slapped alongside existing stars. Some are even right at the start. If anything, they're even worse than mindless moons because you're booted out of the level.
Are there language settings or did you have to buy on the jp eshop?
What is this?
If you're really are getting too frustrated by the game, i recomend using a walkthrough or atleast a guide for weapon/skill building, there's no shame in that user, it really is a difficult game
I won't call you names even though I beat Demon's Souls which is arguably harder
Yeah blighttown's actually where you're supposed to be. The bottom of blighttown, specifically. The divine weapon thing is actually for the resurrecting skellies you'll encounter later, not the ghosts.
Having other companies go third party sounds more comfy. Halo and SOTC in bed or on the toilet. Just imagine
I honestly dont know, I bought the Jap version off of amazon because I couldn't find the answer.
FYI I live in Canada and buy almost everything digital through amazon.co.jp . Crafted world digital is about 5600YEN, or 70 Canadian Dollars. The game in store here is 83.50 after tax.
PS - FFVII is pretty much the perfect japanese practice game. Really easy vocabulary.
>weeb game on Switch
>combat is shit
why did princess guide and remilore have to have shitty top down combat .. god half-assed anime rogue-lites are a plague on gaming
Yes, 2 was a little disappointing in that regard and 1 is my favorite which is an unpopular opinion as far as I know
Odyssey made me realize that being too open can be a problem. I feel much more prone to replay a level based Mario than to boot Odyssey and wander around an "open" world pointlessly, trying to look for "X" marks on my minimap while hoping there'll be a moon or at least an obvious puzzle in plain view.
But 3D Land/3D World take linearity way too far when the entire level is a glorified corridor and you have a timer reminding you that fun is not allowed and you must treat it like a race, while at the same time being punished for not "exploring" adequately and finding dragon coins. Some people might get fun out of the pressure of exploring quickly but I hate it
Feel like there's some fine balance inbetween these formulas that SMG manages to get right
It's a good thing the levels are so tightly designed then. Unlike the empty worlds in Odyssey.
Different user, is Demon's Souls really harder? I found some of its bosses to be quite easy (FUCK the dude in the lava though) and the overall game to be quite on the moderate, if challenging, difficulty, and I've been not playing DS because of its fame of "ridiculous".
>tightly designed
if anything, they're just as bad
>big empty sand texture with some platforms on top
>space wallpaper with four platforms somewhere in there
3d mario was a mistake
Is the Black Dynamite DLC pack worth replaying Travis Strikes Again or should I wait for DLC2?
Also has anyone played Wandersong? Looks interesting. I'm desperate for anything until Dragons Dogma comes out.
Forgot to say that I played it strictly solo.
>Playing
Smash Ultimate
>Looking forward to
Dragons Dogma port
I felt it that way.
Maybe because it was my first souls game, or because dark souls was so popular everyone shared tips and tricks which kinda made it easier.
Honestly I felt like Galaxy took it to extremes at times. Especially during those points where you absolutely could not go back to the previous area in space. 3D World hit all the right notes for me.
>tfw deleting both from my wish list after seeing how shallow and shit both ended up being
No. It has nothing beyond different lines for Shinobu in some cutscenes and some exclusive moves. It's a nice excuse for NG+ or completing the game but nothing beyond that.
people just say that because its the first one they played. I had loads of trouble with demons souls at first but honestly by now it shouldnt be that hard for people who played the dark souls games. All I can say is maybe the areas are harder than dark souls but the bosses arent hard at all, though I like them better because the devs tried to make them intersting instead of LOL GIT GUD hard
I'm wrapping up my first playthrough of Dark Souls 1, amazing game really.
I'm really looking forward to FFX and FFXII, which I haven't played, and later Pokemon Sword and Link's Awakening.
>Playing
Tales of vesperia and doax3 scarlet
>Looking forward to
cuphead and moero chronicles in short term
I want a Kingdom Hearts like game where Nintendo characters team up with old cartoon ones like Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Tweety, Elmer Fudd and such, for maximum nostalgia
Playing D44M. I haven't liked a western game more than Japanese titles in a long long time. I like it more than like, 90% of the Switch's library. I'm addicted to this fucking game. Getting close to finishing up Nighmare difficulty.
Looking forward to DxM and Super Mario Maker 2
>Whactha playing and looking forward to bros?
Link to the Past, Yoshi, Super Mario Maker 2, and Crash Team Racing.
Don't play FFX for the first time on Switch or any modern console man, the game's completely botched on the remaster. Every cutscene is completely fucked and more. It's only ever acceptable for a second run.
FFXII is good though.
maybe we can get a kid icarus 2
The Galaxies have a nasty tendency to become glorified corridors disguised by launch star cutscenes. The second game even has several levels that go full Tropical Freeze and has them fall apart, prohibiting you from doing any backtracking. Add a timer and you've got a pretty 3D World with better controls.
Princess Guide caught my attention purely because of the art style. Glad I didn't bite.
>no one looking forward to Fire Emblem
did I miss something, almost feels like it was canceled
>tfw played FFX on my vita
After Remi I backed out of getting Princess Guide. Was like paying 40 bucks for a microfiber cloth and a demo.
Were you impressed by the trailer in the last direct? It looked like a PS3 game.
Not to mention it’s unrewarding when the collectible you get is useless and literally everywhere.
I'm saving up for a switch rn
Thanks, I'll look into it. VII is one of the only FF games I've never finished so this might be the time.
>all these Capcom ports
>no DMC4:SE
My plane rides need more POWER.
It looks terrible
It looked like shit.
I mean, PLAYING the game's not that bad, the in-game models are an improvement even if the palette of the original is shitted up, some effects are not even rendered and prerrendered BGs are bad redrawns. But actually playing for the first time? It's fucked. Every single cutscene has at least a detail missing and something that feels instantly off and dated where the original was groundbreaking.
Playing NBA2K19 (don't judge me). Thinking about doing another BotW playthrough.
Looking forward to FFXII, I had it on the PS2 and it's a favorite of mine. It'll be nice to play it again. Link's Awakening as well, it's one of I think 2 handheld Zelda's I've actually played.
Also have hopes for the new AC. Also hope the new Rune Factory isn't shit, I like the Harvest Moon concept but honestly didn't enjoy 4 much.
The art, story and gameplay don't exactly inspire confidence at this point, it looks like an upscaled 3DS title with less production values than the actual 3DS games.
There were a ton of threads about it when it was revealed, so now we're resting up for the next big bang.
>FFXII is good though
Thank god. That's the only one I cared for.
Any people here have claimed their free year of Switch online?
I got Musou vibes from the stuff shown. It looked really cheap.
playin some ffvii rn (for the second time). also got hollow knight and maxima going as well. next new release i'll be picking up is either cuphead or mk11
SMG was a masterpiece in other aspects and I would have expected Yea Forums to hold it as the best 3D Mario ever all things considered
>takes a Mario game's art direction to a whole new level
>introduces Rosalina
>you can read Rosalina's story from her book
>new chapters get added as you play and the story itself is surprisingly mature and good
>the game itself has great story and the conclusion is very satisfying and emotional
Once again, this is a Mario game, it never had a right to an impactful story
Most of you probably already forgot what the story looked like but here's a hint, prepare for the feels
youtu.be
do i get a year of free switch with prime's 30 day trial?
yoshis crafted world demo is pretty fun, but i wonder if the game has enough content to justify a buy
I cried when the lumas said goodbye as they got sucked to death
even today I still teared up, that fucking moment at 1:25
Please help, what the fuck am I supposed to do about the chest that's across the small lava pond in the mountain area?
Maybe in 5 years when you can get it for 20 bucks.
I can't confirm, but I estimate there are about 50-60 stages based on the number of stages in the first world.
>SMG was a masterpiece in other aspects
The soundtrack is spectacular and my dick appreciates Rosalina but I found the first game very boring. 2 didn't have any Koizumi stuff snuck in, but it plays better.
I was like 14 or 15 years old and i didn't even know what was happening
what the fuck, this is some interstellar bullshit
how do I play super mario galaxy without a Wii?
Dolphin
>hold it as the best 3D Mario ever not because of the level design, but because of Rosalina
I'll admit I'm kinda pissed Nintendo never made her storybook into an actual book
I dunno if it's good specifically on the Switch, but the HD remaster is definitely not destroying the game. There are some valid complaints about the CGI cutscenes being sliced up and left uncentered to fit the aspect ratio and the rest being "expanded" to fit a cinemascope aspect ratio instead of just using the 16:9 of the original cutscenes, alongside remarks about the change in palette and illumination, but it's really really minor outside of the first, and doesn't affect the game experience much at all. Specially if you compare it to FFX.
I never got a chance to play FFX-2 remaster, although I've heard that one's a bit better than X.
what a load of shit. i played ffx on ps2 and again on ps4 remaster. its exactly the fucking same shit. the differences are totally minor and dont change anything or matter at all.
super mario galaxy level design was especially great for innovating with gravity mechanics
Just because you're blind doesn't mean the rest of us are. Just the downgrade in illumination in a fucking 2001 game through the cutscenes is enough not to buy a game with such focus on cutscenes.
>intro of Galaxy is a fucking invasion on the Mushroom Kingdom
>Toads getting fucking blasted, castle carried off like in Paper Mario except more extreme
>fucking orchestrated arrangement of airship theme
>Mario gets fucking noscoped by Kamek
>the UFO is never brought up again
>that REALLY bad scene of Mario running across the observatory
>Bowser doesn't do any cool lightning magic shit, just rolls around and you hit him with those squishy coconut ball things
>huge ass Jr. doesn't help his dad
>asspull magic ending negates the Luma sacrifice
>entire game is spent calling planets galaxies
>downgrade in illumination
like i said, stuff that doesnt matter.
I got ACNL back in november and started a town. Amazing improvements from ACCF, but some ACGC features are still missed. I really hope Nintie go back to ACGC roots, but looking at Pocket Camp success... AC Switch may be cashgrab with the microtransactions.
there's not one single bowser fight that feels like an adequate climax to the overarching plot
Guacamelee
I hope whoever the writer was is dead.
I would say it doesn't matter in a game with more focus on gameplay, but in the case of FFX it does matter quite a bit; a lot of work and focus was pulled with the emotion engine back in the day and it's completely ruined in the remaster. A good ~half of the game is spent just looking at cutscenes, how come it doesn't matter here?
The sequel is worse.
Comfy Switch Threads almost always fill up every night and it's nice to see
Thanks for saving me 15 bucks.
Gameplay is pretty good but holy shit it actually makes Borderlands 2 look like Deus Ex in comparison.
>playing
100% The Messenger not too long ago. Was a lot of fun. Working on 100% for Tales of Vesperia right now. I got Dark Souls as a gift, so I'll be playing that after Vesperia. I'm also playing MHGU on and off.
>looking forward to
Daemon X Machina, Fire Emblem, and Mario Maker 2
Brought a switch yesterday and am enjoying night in the woods and a copious dose of Mario kart after getting fired for being an ugly dumb fuck retard idiot
out of curiosity, in Breath of the Wild, besides the sand seal race, its possible to complete the other 119 shrines before doing any divine beast? I want to try a no-DBs + all shrines + sword trials run
I never finished guacamelee, it was fun at first but it gets sorta boring. I wonder if the new borderlands will be memefilled like 2
Why did you get fired?
Story time
how long did it take you to 100% the messenger?
This is like the 3rd time I've bought this game
Don't forget to give your favorite streamer (me) your free monthly twitch sub with twitch prime that you need to auto renew each month. I promise I'll say your name and thank you.
I honestly prefer SMG 1 over 2 purely because of the aesthetic and execution.
Baby Bowser in Yoshi's Island.
>Yea Forums tells me the memes aren't that bad
>they're not
>but ever NPC tries their fucking hardest to get a laugh
>this fucking scene where "haha we gave up so fany"
For a Metroidvania, it was pretty shallow. I liked the art style and combat, but I wish there was more variety. The trailer for the second game put me off.
I heard about this the day it started but last time I posted a CAG deal I found here I got fucking banned. Fuck that faggot shit. You're all on your own.
Not that user, but it took me about 11 hours.
2 is more of the same in terms of everything.
Everything.
>>Yea Forums tells me the memes aren't that bad
>>they're not
Every single background poster is a meme. Every other line of dialogue is a meme or a reference. You literally get more abilities through a Borderlands tier reference.
It's not just "that bad" it's as bad as it could possibly be.
About 13 hours. I got the game expected a modern 2d Ninja Gaiden but it honestly isn't that at all especially at the half way point. Pretty much everything can be completed on the first playthrough. You do get a newgame+ that makes the game a bit more difficult for your troubles though.
I'm angry at Mario Karters
They always made a thread when Mario Kart 7 and 8 was a thing, but never made one for 8 deluxe, fuck you all it's the first time i have a recent mario kart.
You bought it on amazon dont you
they actually toned down the background memes A LOT
t. somebody who played the game when it launched on ps3
Guacamelee games are actually pretty great, if you get triggered by unoffensive memes, then you should fuck off to r*ddit, not like it's very different from this shithole
Btw, i am buying this, they are pretty great games
You can thank the release of 8's DLC splitting up the player-base and eventual IRC/discord/tripfag faggotry killing the community.
Si
>unoffensive
Inoffensive. Besides, I never said the games were bad. The dialogue is just groan-worthy and he clearly didn't like it so I wouldn't recommend the second.
Why do indie devs keep rereleasing their shit?
Shovel knight devs just ported it to all consoles and kept releasing new campaigns, they didn't keep hitting a dead horse.
>that box art
They couldn't make a nice single image for both games?
user who first found the deal.
ALWAYS find an employee and ask to see their inventory, the 2 targets I went to had kits in the back and not on the floor. Also they'll tell you if any nearby stores have them in store and you can then either call that store or have customer service call them to hold it for you.
Gameplay is alright but Yea Forums really overhyped. The combo system is fun but super simple and the "Metroidvania" aspect is largely lost when you almost always are pointed directly to where you have to go once you received a new ability unless you want to backtrack to find secrets, which honestly aren't that worth it.
That said, I got Guacamelee around two months after I got Hollow Knight so maybe it's the high bar that got me disappointed.
>user says he doesn't like the jokes
>the game tries to be funny pretty often
>the sequel is literally more Guacamelee
>muh safe space

What's it like being the true cancer that's killing gaming?
>implying they would've bought anything if it wasn't able to be pirated
instead of thinking of a lost game sale, think of an extra console sale
Looking foward to playing Dragon Quest XI 16-bit style.
You're a retard if you think sales numbers alone pushes game development, you need games to sell. PSP is a perfect example of that where it sold a fuckton of units but everyone stole games via piracy to the point attachment rates were abysmal.
Mostly just looking forward to Astral Chain at this point.
have sex, nerd
Is it actually good? Like how long is it, and is there any replayablity?
Stay mad thief.
i would've never bought it, incel
What, is this like the FFXV one
So can the whole game be played like this or is it a gimmick for certain locations?
>Nah, take one look at what happened to sega and you'll see how uncomfy that would be
You mean with series like Yakuza, Project Diva, Border Break, and Valkyria Chronicles existing, period? Or with Puyo Puyo, Virtual-On, Panzer Dragoon, Jet Set, OutRun, and Virtua Fighter continuing to get entries after Sega went third-party? Or with Atlus having better funding now than they did when their parent company went bankrupt, before Sega saved them? Yes, how awful.
I had a PSP and never pirated a single came. You thieving n-people are the fucking worst. Get a job, you leech.
>The thief is projecting in rage after his excuses were exposed.
have sex
Dark Souls, Tetris. Want to get back into Smash, but eh.
Currently waiting for Pokemon and Dragon Quest. Anything else to look forward to? FE looks meh.
>everyone stole games via piracy to the point attachment rates were abysmal.
thats not even true
psp game sales were great, even for niche games
I bought PSP games, and also pirated those I couldn't find/ wanted to try before buying. Several of the PSP games in my collection are there as a result of wanting to own physical copies after trying the .ISO rips first. It's not so black-and-white, you jewish-ass faggot.
Many of those Sega games you mentioned haven't had games in a long while.
In fact it's a meme at this point that Sega only makes Yakuza, Sonic and Valkyria
The whole game can be played on 16-bit mode.
>Were great
Stop gas lighting
Piracy decimated the PSP's sales so badly that it created shockwaves that affected how publishers and devs supported the Vita. Which lead the Vita to dying because Sony doesn't have the same 1st party power Nintendo has.
Virtual-On just got a new PS4 game last year.
Panzer Dragoon 1 and 2 remakes are in development.
Border Break finally got ported to PS4 after nine solid years in arcades, with new maps and a new soundtrack.
Puyo Puyo got an esports version last year.
It feels like they're currently gauging public interest in Jet Set with clothing items in their shop, before taking the plunge and making a third entry.
That's really cool.
Any Mexican here have played Patobox?
Patobox was developed by Mexicans.
It is Suda51 favorite 2018 game, i hope people play this masterpiece:
gamefragger.com
stop making shit up man, vita failed because a lot of different factors, you can't just pionpoint it in: hurrr the psp was pirated!
The DS was far more pirated than the PSP and it was also a success.
not with the family plan ;_;
I'm not Mexican but I played Patobox
I really didn't like it
Thieving is still thieving no matter how much you try to justify it. Also go have sex, you gay incel.

No, it's not DQMobile, it's actually a mode you can use in the main game, taken from the 3DS version that had the old school DQ look on the bottom screen. In the Switch version you can switch between the two.
Nah, nigger. DS was much easier to pirate for, and it did just fine. Stop being a faggot-ass revisionist.
Imagine being this sort of cherrypicking, faggot-ass niggerfaggot.
from the trailer it looks like punch out if it had an adventure mode
gonna buy it just to support la raza
i liek those drawings yo
Ww and tp ports will release in early 2020. 6 months after LA remake. Theyre basically done, but Nintendo is spreading out their releases.
>from the trailer it looks like punch out if it had an adventure mode
This isn't bad at all.
i don't understand the point you're trying to get across.
>incel

>Tales of vesperia and doax3 scarlet
Hey, same here. Though I'm only just downloading DOA. After years, I finaly gave in. What do you think about it?
Wrong. First time I used it.
Piracy on the Switch isn't that big of a deal, who cares. If some faggots on Yea Forums want to pirate their games, and Nintendo isn't stopping them, then there's really not much you can do about it. And this is coming from a physical collector buyfag.
Playing the beta of TERRARIA
The walking around and it felt like a less responsive punch out
I played it with Joy Con controllers and had a blast.
Nice IP address, you fucking autist.
>A guy can reply to the same guy more than once
Please for the love of god, have sex.
>i-i have the power, i am anonnymuss!
>call some faggot autist
>watch each coment and ip address in order to call him autist
Literally kek fatso cuck
I ordered that Play-Asia version
It failed because it didn't have games.
It didn't have games because devs didn't make it for it
They didn't make it because they got burned by the PSP piracy
The vita probably had the best launching line up of any Gen 7 platform
Only the last one is mine, you dumb incelevant pirate
That's some next level delusion
If I only get one kit, which should it be?
>tfw waiting for a sale for Minecraft and Ninja Storm Trilogy
Fuck, I might just say fuck it and buy em both full price. 70$ isn't that bad.
I found out about all of the companies that sell various physical copies of indie Switch games and ordered a bunch of them. It’s a weird cottage industry they’ve got going on.

This hurts... I just want to play the games the way they were meant to be...
Is this game any good? I heard it’s about a tranny. Is it annoying SJW shit or is that subtext I can ignore?
The vehicle one. Hoping I can play games with it later
>look up ninja storm triloy
>there are 6 ultimate ninja storm games in current platforms
what the fuck
Honestly? It's too fucking easy. I literally did not feel challenged at all until Darker Side, and even that didn't make me break much of a sweat.
Is there one for Arland DX? I saw an image on KT's twitter of someone with an Arland DX Switch physical somehow.
The blonde girl is actually a guy who attempted suicide in the auditorium after everyone at the college found out. The entire thing was a dream as the guy was being resuscitated. The missing girl is his friend who hugs him and it's implied things with his mother will be patched up. It gets less subtle the further you get.
There, now you don't have to play a shitty puzzle platformer and saved $20 for something good.
only japan got physical copies
I'll buy it because it looks like a typical Fire Emblem game that will waste me 50 hours, but I'm not excited for it like I hoped it would be. It's sad that in an era where Nintendo is reinvigorating their main franchises (mostly Zelda and Mario), their second party IPs are still shallow as fuck.
>Mario Party
Still shit
>Kirby
Star Allies was unambitious as fuck, HAL has been coasting off Return to Dreamland for nearly a decade now
>Fire Emblem
Looks mediocre and rushed and typical as fuck, nothing new to be exciteda bout
>Yoshi
Still plays like it was made for toddlers
That said, I'm really excited for Mario Maker 2. That 2 minute video was literally "Hey we're making the first game but better" in trailer form, which is perfect for a first sequel.
I'll wait a few months for MArio Maker 2, I'm not goood at building levels, but love playing them. I need to see if the level creators didn't get burnt out by the wii u version.
Damn. That explains a lot.
I was going to skip Yoshi while waiting for Fire Emblem, Luigi’s Mansion, and Animal Crossing. Now I’m hearing all these amazing things about the game so now I’m second guessing that decision.
1 covers OG Nardo
2 covers Shippudens beginning to the end of the pain arc
3 covers Kage summit arc to the mid war
4 covers the rest of the war and the end
Revolution and Generations were pretty much filler/rehashed shit with maybe a unique plot and one added character or two
Trilogy has 1-3 and Legacy has 1-4+Bort shit. Not sure why Legacy isn't on the Switch. CC2 being lazy twats? I said I was waiting for sale but I was also waiting to see if they'll throw 4 on the eshop. 2 years and still nothing.
>Limited Run Games
Be sure to pick up your physical copy Axiom Verge for the Wii U, releasing on March 29, 2019!
Oh and I'm also excited for Crystal Chronicles remastered. My buddy literally bought a Switch when it was announced just so we could eventually play together, since we played the shit out of it back when we were young teens and loved it to death.
This is the brain of the average switch owner.
>Now I’m hearing all these amazing things about the game
There's nothing particularly amazing about it. It's a very safe sequel.
No reason to be jealous.
Is there anywhere I can get a Joycon for cheap? The left one finally decided to be a piece of shit. It drops inputs when it's not hooked up and constantly disconnects. It's not even good for dock mode as it constantly registers false directional inputs. I don't know why I only ever have faulty hardware when I buy Nintendo. Even my fucking launch 360 survived the Red Ring Apocalypse.
>still know next to nothing about Animal Crossing
>It isn't a big deal

>Censor games
>When it's the devs that do it.
This is clutching at straws.
Should I get Blaster Master Zero 2 instead?
If you liked the first one, sure.
It's not, I doubt even 1% of people who own a Switch are pirating with it
Best Shmups on Switch? Already got Zero Gunner 2.
>Not even 1%
More excuses from thieves. 1% is to much theft anyway.
Just wait for a sale like me.
Ikaruga
Gunbird
Hyper Sentinel

Not that user, but how about you have sex you faggot. You could easily ignore him yet you keep saying that. I know damn well you can't even get any pussy without paying for but even I know your mother would reject you no matter how much money you have. Seriously, stop being a faggot and thinking about another man sex life you fucking weirdo.
>Should I get Blaster Master Zero 2
Yes, if you're asking the question I feel like you probably have some interest in it. Play the first one first I'd say though, assuming you haven't since you're asking.
Though I'm half expecting a physical release of the two games after all the DLC the second game will presumably get comes out, I mean Gunvolt got one. Half expecting is maybe a bit much, but I wouldn't be surprised.
I liked Danmaku Unlimited 3 and Shikhondo, the former's probably the better game but Shikhondo has great visuals. Astebreed's pretty nice too, especially if you like mecha, but it's real easy.
whens pikmin
>still know next to nothing about Animal Crossing
>Miyamoto is hiding Pikmin 4
>Prime 4 got reset buttoned
>Odyssey never got a DLC Kingdom

Just bought 4-cheap-ass gamecube controllers and adapter through aliexpress to play with my friends, we've never been so into a competitive game since LoL in 2014
man playing smash with friends makes me so happy
Odyssey probably got the SMG2 treatment, where they started making DLC but couldn't stop making new levels so they'll just repackage it all and call it a new game instead.
1. Ikaruga
2. Cursed Castilla
3. Thunder Force IV
4. Black Bird
5. Dragon Blaze
>buy a Switch today at FUCKING GAMESTOP(yeah yeah, I know, but in my area it's either them or Walmart)

Are you going to go back?
You'd better go back.
Wait what. Amazon prime? How
Yeah I am, just didn't feel like fighting rush hour traffic for the bazillionth time today.
No. Too embarrassing and the girl thinks I'm just doing it to talk to her. I don't want that kind of reputation around my small town.
What should I play at work today?
Undertale, Hyper Light Drifter or BotW new save
Too slow, fag.
>Playing Undertale in public
Nothing good can come from that
Any Mexicans here played Mulaka?
It was developed by Mexicans. I enjoyed it a lot.
It's a 3D game with puzzles similar to Okami/Zelda.
About how long is it? Also, I heard the combat is really easy. Does that apply to bosses too?
The framerate is pretty bad.
Nope
I never had problems with it
Just post all the games made by Mexicans and save yourself the trouble
Been meaning to play FF7 since that just came out but I also bought S2 recently and I just can't stop playing it.
>I never had problems with it
That doesn't mean I didn't.
Tyr Chains of Vall-Halla is a comfy 2.5D action platformer made by Mexicans, reminded me of Gurren Lagann
Picking it up in two hours. Excited
Just beat Darksiders remastered thought it was pretty good and a fine port
Never played Yoshi games before. What are they like?
this looks real autistic
Decided to finally buy BotW but now I'm waiting for a sale. I wish nintendo actually lowered their prices ever, the game is 2 years old and still costs me a whopping 90 fucking dollarydoos
>tfw night shift with little human interaction

Well at least I have Voez.
2D platformers with the gimmick of aiming and throwing eggs which bounce off things. They're not hard games, but you have to comb stages to find all the collectibles if you want to unlock the more challenging extra stages.
deltarune
I'd tell you to get Yoshi's Island off the virutal console IF THE SWITCH HAD ONE
BotW goes on sale every now and then at least physically. The discount is usually 25-30% off.
If I didn't pre order Yoshi, do you think it will still be available? My gf is going to a skit show so I'm heading to a city GameStop, sadly, and I'm nervous that I won't be able to find a copy
It would be the GBA version, and everyone deserves to play the SNES version instead.
I don't think you'll have much trouble finding a copy. If you're really worried, you can call the Gamestop and ask them to hold a copy for you.
Just got back from a business trip, been playing Final Fantasy VII and Galak-Z. Not a big fan of being sent out of town, but it can make for some good handheld times.
>Bought one of those Switch battery packs back in Feb.
>Still haven't received it.
>Seller hasn't responded to any email.
God damn it.
get laid virgin lmao
>Newfag doesn't realize that true Nintendo fans have refused to touch FF7 on principle.
Anyone try the game Warparty? I'm a bit iffy buying an rts for console but i figured it wouldn't be too,bad to just play, casually.
took me around ~8h
After dragon marked for death I went and got azure gunvault pack, blaster master zero 1 and 2. Hope they are good.
They're better.
I hope you enjoy Gunvolt as much I did when I first got it. Its a real gem. Also make sure you collect the jewels in each stage for the true final boss in Gunvolt 1.
>Hope they are good.
They're real fuckin' good user, your mileage may vary but they're definitely good. Give Mighty Gunvolt Burst a look too afterwards.
it's also getting all the streetpass content from the 3ds version.
Try out Bloodstained too
I kinda wish the Switch had Streetpass.
Make sure he 100%'s both Blaster Master Zero games too while we're at it.
Has anyone else been unfortunate enough to try junk planet? This translation is so bad and I've got no idea what I'm doing. Are there any other good crafting and building games?
Have you tried spraying some wd-40 in it, that usually works for most of my shit.
Nice try.
So you know, the ghosts drop transcient curses, though I guess it'd be a gamble for you to get more this way, though I never had trouble really ever even needing to farm them.
Right now enjoying Salt and Sanctuary, big fan of the Dishwasher games from forever ago on XBLA.
Looking for 2D action games with fast paced combat. Or anything semi challenging, I love Hollow Knight. And I was remembering how great the Summon Night Swordcraft games were on GBA. I have not played Steamworld or Spelunky but I've heard they're both great. Any other must play indie masterpieces on Switch?
I got Death Road to Canada, but I find it hard to get into. I enjoy Roguelites quite a bit also, Isaac, Dead Cells, Gungeon.
Tiny Barbarian DX
>Playan
Splatoon 2
>Looking forward to
Thinking of buying The Messenger, Katana Zero, Cuphead, maybe Ikaruga and Animal Crossing

>Want to get something from the Jap eshop
>Don't want to connect my paypal or overpay for cash cards
>Remember you can get gold coins from carts
>Try it with those Labo games I just picked up
>They work
>I'mAGenius!.jpeg
>Try it with all my other games
>You cannot redeem coins from this region
>OhNo!.jpeg
As least we know things aren't REALLY region free even though the system can play it.
Paypal is honestly less of a hassle than searching for a site that doesn't overcharge for digital codes or setting up an account for Amazon JP
LimitedRunGames games are also andomly restricted by region for the MyNintendo stuff. I can't redeem Golf Story from them for example and West of Loathing doesn't work either despite being in the US where they're based.
Not actually playing much Switch games at the moment, well Puyo eSports now and then but that's it. I've been on a fighting game kick lately so I've been playing on my PS4 Pro and PC more. Looking forward to Fire Emblem and Daemon X Machina though.
>that fluid ass animation
>FINALLY some shit in 16-bit instead of the umpteenth 8-bit indie shit
>that promising Metroidvania gameplay despite the market oversaturation
>physical release
>but it's KICKSTARTER. FUCK.
>but no release date
Welp, got my money. Fuck me there's so much shit ready to drain my wallet this year.
This has to be some advanced form of portbegging
>tfw I got a JP 3DS so I can just add credit using my card directly and don't have to pay markup for eShop credit
hahahahahaHAHAHAHA
What's wrong with paying in cash?
what do the japs have that's worth buying shitty lego games for?
>Whactha playing and looking forward to bros?
Started Chocobo Dungeon last night (on hard, obviously). Holy shit, the game is fun!
Looking forward to Fire Emblem, DxM, Princess Guide and Mario Maker 2, but I know there will be more games that I'm not even aware of.
>Don't forget your free Nintendo Switch Online through Prime.
What? First time I hear this.
Bought myself a switch as an early bday gift
Bought a bunch of games (Botw, Smash, Doom, Civilization, Nba2k, Fifa) and they're all great BUT..
But i can't put down Botw. It's so f'n good. Maybe one of my favorite game of all time.. about to beat the game just gotta get 11 more shrines before i go btfo ganon and save my sexy princess
Can anyone explain the appeal to these? I dont get it.. you just make a carboard box thingy?
It looks worse than I ever could have imagined, I was willing to give it a chance after that very rough reveal trailer but the second one made it clear I'm no longer the target audience. At least I still have Animal Crossing and Pokemon to look forward to.
Dragon quest builders is amazing.
This user is right!
Please tell me you didn't buy the Collector's Edition of Darius.
Right?
Somewhat on topic, but after about two years of showing my cousin all the games that came out for Switch, (we always do this every time we come over to eqch other's houses. He shows me PS4 games, I show him Switch games)he wants one real bad. He hasn't gotten a Nintendo console since Wii and has been 100% PlayStation shortly after 2010 or so.
This console is even convincing loyalists to cross over.
AFAIK that's pretty much all of them. Though thankfully some of the others are getting releases that were once Limited Run exclusive. Thank fuck since Limited Jews always charge more than everyone else, while stacking on shipping costs.
skybound is handling the skullgirls/walking dead game but thats about it i think.
>playing
Mercenary Heroes Saga. Its good but its slow as heck.
>looking forward to
Dragon quest builders 2, Yoshi, Pokemon SS and RF5
Is a screen protector really necessary?
Absolutely. And so is a slip on case with grips if you have regular person hands and not tiny sushi fingers.
What games are coming to the Switch that aren't Nintendoshit like Zelda and Mario?
Wolfenstein Youngblood and Astrail Chain look pretty good.
>browse Play-Asia
>discover Horizon Chase Turbo has a physical release
>but it's SIXTY FUCKING BURGERS
>already bought the damn thing a few days ago digital
EVERY. FUCKING. TIME.
Just ordered Super Robot Wars T. Until then, I'm dicking around with Hyrule warriors and toejam and Earl.
The first one was a masterpiece but everything else is fucking shit (WW is decent)
I simply do not understand what the fuck went so wrong.
Got my Switch on day 1, no screen protector and I usually play docked.
People just don't know how to take care of their hardware.
For whiping/cleaning your screen you should use that (I don't know exactly the English term for it, sorry) that rag that is used for cleaning glasses.
>going to Play-Asia for anything
Nigga, everything's overpriced even during "sales" and their shipping is ridiculous
I'm not stupid enough to go there for anything other than their exclusives to begin with. It's the simple fact that I bought a game I was sure was digital only only for it to have gotten an overpriced physical release.
I'm a physicuck user. I can't fucking help but be compelled to buy physical whenever possible.
Nintendo Switch?
More like Nincompoop Shit
Can I delink my paypal account after adding money though?
When the FUCK are we getting a real date for Joker?
>I'm a physicuck user. I can't fucking help but be compelled to buy physical whenever possible.
Not that guy, buy I gotta ask: is there any reason for that? Especially if you don't plan on selling the games, why do you prefer physical? Isn't it better to just turn on the console and have all those games available without being forced to switch cartridges and take them with you, assuming you are going on a trip?
I'm not judging you, if this is the impression you got. I'm just curious.
dunno how it works with jap accounts but you can delete cc or paypal data under your account settings on the eshop or on the nintendo website
Whenever the April direct for Smash is. Hopefully he's available immediately after.
Anyone with try this?
3 simple reasons:
1. I like to actually own the things that I drop money on. Digital software has no intrinsic value, and is truly a waste of money to spend on unless you're impatient or it only exists in digital form.
2. Longevity. Switch cartridges are pretty much going to last 20+ years from now, long after Nintendo has shut down the servers for the Switch.
3. Pricing. Because of how the Switch's secondary market works and rampart scalperfaggotry, it's sadly more cost efficient to buy a game at full price on places like Limited Run and Play-Asia - shipping fees and all, than it is to skip it and get punished by paying 50%+ markups down the road.
tl;dr: because of long-term cost effectiveness.
Agree on all points, fellow physicuck.
I'm also a lot more likely to play games that I can see on a shelf.
Not him but I get games I know I'll replay frequently digital (Smash and Splatoon) and get larger games I'll probably only play once or twice all the way through physical (BotW and Odyssey)
I don't sell them though
>long after Nintendo has shut down the servers for the Switch.
How does this works, anyway? When they shut down the servers (for Switch) completely, does that mean you won't be able to access the game you already bought? I mean, it's not like they will release an update that will block/lock all your games downloaded on your Switch, but yes, it will suck if you can't re-download them.
Not that my Switch will last for 20 years lol.
I mean, I have a friend that has a similar opinion like you. And I agree, seeing those games on your shelves is nice... but some of these offers on eShop are just too good.
BTW, you know that, in some cases, you get discount on eShop if you already bought another game from certain developer, but can you get that discount if you bought a physical version or it MUST be a digital game?
Buying this would be more embarassing than buying hardcore porn. Why did they have to put the furry on the cover and make that the central focus? Otherwise it's a fun game.
The point being made is that the purchases aren't for the here and now, but for the long run. I've already felt the sting in the past of games that I fucking WISH I could purchase but literally can't because they're digital only, or of games that cost an arm and leg to get physical like half the DC/SAT library.
Similar to yourself, I'm not going to condemn or mock someone for preferring digital over physical, because digital does admittedly have its perks in the form of convenience and more frequent sales compared to physical. However, this only really seems to apply for Nintendo in this special instance, as physical is definitely cheaper than digital on other platforms, barring Steam for obvious reasons.
Also, no, there's nothing special like that for buying physical. The only objective perk physical has over digital are the occasional collector's editions and bonuses.
It has a reversible cover user.
Pretty sure for stuff like Valkyria Chronicles, it has to be digital copies
What are some competitive online games where you can just pop in and have some fun for a couple of rounds?
The ones I've played so far:

Tetris 99 is ''in'' now
