He's just the only one that can wield dark tomes.

This guy is, actually
going by stats, characters from older games are pretty much dwarfed by the OP bullshit from nu-FE

Honest question, what is it about Hector that makes people really like him? Is it because he stands out as an axe wielding Lord?

"muh aggressive/assertive lord" is pretty much the only thing that makes him stand out vs the personalities of the lords that preceded him
GBAbabs aren't very bright

unga bunga me smash personality.

his personality and how he talks smack on all of his enemies.

He’s a strong unit and a “chad” (brash, masculine qualities.)

That’s all he really needs tho’. Being Lex but better.

Hector himself is pretty meh, he's only loved because 7 is babby's first FE and the other 2 lords are shit

Is she the cutest and funniest Fire Emblem character?

This is pretty much the gist of it.
He paved the way for lords like Ike and Ephraim.

Not if you play Heroes lel

that would be nino

Her interactions with Nah were nice.

Corpses can't be strong, silly! Unless it's Ylisse!

Wow... Powerful...

Why does Nino grow boobs when she promotes?

He's a static character but very well-written. Sure, he fills the tropes of being royalty and being blue-haired, but he's an enjoyable counterbalance to the other, much flatter main characters. It also helps that his strength is literally shown in-game and in his animations. His dialogue actually has gravity and can make you laugh or make you go "oh shit" at times in contrast to the exposition dump a lot of other characters primarily do.
Him grabbing Armads despite the fact that its curse's effects will inevitably happen to him is ballsy is perfectly in character and makes you respect him more.
It also helps that he's in the 1st Western-localized Fire Emblem game.

I remember loving this character when i was younger. His wide eyed innocence and desire for learning really influenced me.

This is a 32 year old man.

He's above average stat wise but Luna helps him kill bosses and Nosferatu makes him durable, so he is very good because of those.

Here's that 32 year old man's fertile young daughter and her husband.

Whoops sorry wrong pic, here's her actual husband.

Who dies like a fucking pussy after getting shanked by a bunch of wyvern-riding fucks who have weapons his is fucking effective against and taunted by a dragon fetishist king who likes to spin his sword way too much. I thought by "dying on the battlefield" he'd be murdering dozens of people in a pure adrenaline-induced rush before a lucky shot gets him and he dies grinning like a madman. If Binding Blade is remade they better fix this shit. Also they should've made Lilina an axe user instead of being a dumb slow glass cannon mage. She's Hector's fucking daughter, she should act like it.

wait a minute that's not gonzalez

A rank =/= smash

Nostalgia goggles, mostly. serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?/topic/27311-quintessence-dont-understand/ read this

I guess girls really do go for men who are just like their fathers... whoa...

>Who dies like a fucking pussy after getting shanked by a bunch of wyvern-riding fucks who have weapons his is fucking effective against
*kills Hector*
Nothin personnel, Ostia
>If Binding Blade is remade they better fix this shit.
Isn't it Blazing Blade's problem to fix? Binding Blade came first, user.

Nah, I feel like that'd be a little too cliche.
>Also they should've made Lilina an axe user instead of being a dumb slow glass cannon mage. She's Hector's fucking daughter, she should act like it.
Let's be real, Hector is the type of dad who would pamper the fuck out of his daughter, he'd never let her anywhere near an ax.

Story in general not being very good =/= every character being bad.
Conquest had some decent characters despite the plot being an absolute shit show. BR on the other hand had boring as fuck characters, but the plot was way better than CQ's.

If Binding Blade gets remade (or is remade alongside Blazing) it'll most likely get some retcons to be more consistent with its prequel-sequel. Have Hector get the curse of Armads in the prequel, show him slaughtering dozens of wyverns, and then maybe Zephiel spins-to-wins on him for the final blow, just like he does with Cecilia.
It may be cliche but I wanna see old Hector kicking some ass instead of being introduced for like a second and then getting killed off

I don't think it's unreasonable that Hector, being the armored axe-wielder he is, could be brought down by Narcian and Brunya. Narcian uses a magic sword, Brunya has the strongest anima tome that isn't Forblaze.

That's fair.
>They shove in a side chapter where you get him as part of your army for a single chapter.
>He's way stronger than anyone else in your party.
>Chapter ends with him getting injured in some way, which explains why he succumbs during his fight with Narcian's wyverns.
Might be neat.

>Strongest
>Gets done in by that utter tool Narcian in a sneak attack

They're likely going to give Lyn the same thing to explain why she does nothing to help Roy.
