Sekiro exploration

So I keep seeing people saying that you're not rewarded in sekiro for exploration. I honestly gotta say this just isn't true. We're rewarded with mini bosses that act as constant skill checks. We're rewarded with a new challenge that will make us better understand the great mechanics of this game. This is one reason why I love this game. All the items at your disposal are there to make you stronger at the right moment.
Once you see sekiro for what it is instead of crying about your expectations of, from software, then you'll see.
This is my favorite game by them.

There's retards who think that Sekiro's exploration is not rewarding?
You need to have a brain damage for this.

I have no idea what this is. Looks pretty awesome. It's this end game?

There's some rewards but it doesn't really compare to Dark Souls exploration where you can find new armor/weapons/spells.

I love Sekiro but I too kind of felt exploration wasn't as worth it because most of the items I picked up were worthless.

There are literally secret end-game bosses that you wouldn't have found if you didn't back-track through earlier areas

Talking about Sekiro, of course

That makes me happy. Those are the rewards right there.
Every mini boss I've faced so far has been a unique threat with a unique moveset. Except for spear guy and one of the long arm giraffe dudes

you need to kill one of the shishimen warriors, i think this was the one between fortress and underground dungeon.

sure but I'm talking more about items. occasionally I'd be rewarded with exploration by finding bosses and shit and of course gourd seeds/prayer beads but I don't think it's as rewarding or engaging as it was in Dark Souls.

Specifically shinobi Hunter spear guy

Minibosses are nothing special. They removed the unique items you find in Soulsborne that give you a ton of lore and replaced it with the 10 or so items you can find in Sekiro

I guess the value of the reward is pretty subjective. Not everyone enjoys being rewarded with more pain. I'm good with being rewarded with the euphoria that comes with beating the boss that's been raping you for two days

>Its rewarding to kill mini bosses
Yeah because life upgrades but besides a select few there are so many reskins that is about it. Otherwise only certain items are worthwhile and a lot of headless drops are trash long startup buffs. So i have to disagree besides merchants you find for certain good things a lot of the environment is just finding the same shit you already know a lot of pellet and ceramic pick ups too.

there are 4 juzous and 5 headless in the game

I tried and ran because no confetti at the time i have like 6 damage now with confetti will that fuck melt yet? Id rather no deal with an asshole with that stupid terror shit trying to fan it away as he spams that shit constantly.

The reward is learning to kill them in my eyes

I don't think confetti does anything with him. I beat him without confetti anyway.

What kind of retard would say this? There's a shit ton of hidden stuff in the game. I hate this board yet I'm stuck here.

Hmm yeah, I stand corrected there.

confetti does a large boost to your dmg against him and also suppresses his ambient/unsummoned skulls if you whack him enough

Later on there's be a purple shinobi as a miniboss, then he becomes a normal enemy and then there's another minoboss who's just 2 of those purple shinobis

You can stealth kill one of the purple shinobi in that fight to make it way easier.

I’m trying so hard to enjoy this game but I just don’t get it. My instincts seem to be too intertwined with dark souls to “get” the game. I’m so painfully bad and it’s more frustrating than fun.
I’m stuck at the mini boss after the ogre, tendencies yamauchi, and I don’t want to skip him or any bosses. I keep blocking instead of dodging, and trying to get his stamina down, but I can’t even get it to half. I can’t seem to train myself to jump over his swipes instead of away this doing nothing significant to his posture or whatever.
t. Plat trophy on DS1, 2, BB, and 3.
Thanks for reading my blog

You can literally one shot him if he jumps with the skill to deathblow airborn enemies

well at least the headless are split in 2 variants

The way to play Sekiro is playing aggressive and spamming parry. Always perfectly parry the enemies attacks, then attack 2-3 times and repeat. You know when to stop attacking when he parries you, makes the same sound and visualeffect as your parries

I was stuck on that dude too. I was being way to cautious trying to dodge and parry, literally just keep attacking until his posture breaks

Just how much more difficult does the ringing the bell make this game? I was farming those blue katana guys in Ashina Castle and I was under the impression they were more difficult despite me having two increases in attack power and two prayer beads since first fighting them. My posture especially seems to be able to barely take anything and the enemy's posture takes longer to break. I couldn't even beat those agile faggots in Senpou Temple and had to run past them.

Some of the areas (so far) lead to dead ends, but at the end of each these dead ends have something cool to collect like prayer beads, gourd seeds and buff items.
