Challenge of the mountain increases the number of bosses you face when you activate teleporter, between 2-4. Lunar coins let you access special chests and you can occasionally enter a special shop through a port which opens next to the tele after it charges. Both give special items you can't access normally.

Yes. I unlocked the hunter for making it to level 3 without dying. I think there is at least one character you have to find in a level somewhere.
I barely got to play with Yea Forums and even then my connection is so shit that I was always dead within the first 30 seconds of every level.

I felt like the 2D sidescroller nature of the game made it impossible to dodge some of the bullets/enemies with the limited amount of movement that your character had but I might just be a scrub, I didn't play the game for very long

I was able to run D44M without much issue after some settings tweaks and Witcher 3 runs like a dream. I had similar crashing issues with Overwatch of all things until a better driver came out so I'm sure that is the cause here as well.

it depends on the character. chars with heavy firepower have less mobility while chars with less firepower usually tend to be able to dodge a lot.
But you can make up for that with items. Items that increase your defensive stats and usable items that give you invincibility or freeze time are an example of that.

It supports both. It's a 3rd person shooter, so only a fool would choose a controller over m&k, but the option is there if you like.
There are unlocks, but they are just added into the random item rotation. There are other characters to play as, and they each lend themselves to a different playstyle, but they must all be unlocked. There is a sense of progression in that sense, but other than that the idea is to start fresh each time. High scores, and best times, and all that if you're into that.

For anyone else running a toaster, shadow cascades does a lot more for shadow appearance than shadow quality. Setting shadow quality to low but cascades to 4 looks much better than having quality on ultra with 1 or even 2 cascades.
