Played the PC demo and had a blast. It hits all the right notes for me in what I want in a Metroidvania. Only thing it needs is more variety and some balancing (the Arrow soul is stupid strong when upgraded.)
The latest trailers have made it clear the visuals are going to be leaps and bounds better and the latest Switch stuff showed some features I wasn't expecting, like dedicated customization.
I'm hype as fuck, personally. Behind DMC5, this has been my most anticipated game this year. With the CV Collection coming as well, it's been a damn good few months for me.

Also, do we know if Bloodstained will have a familiar system like SotN? The game is 3d, but SotN got away with it by just having them be a floating 2d overlay, clipping over walls and stuff. The familiars would have to move through 3d objects.

So, I've been behind this game from the start. I knew from the beginning it'd be 2.5D (since a lot of retards assumed it wouldn't) and overall I'm extremely happy with how everything is turning out. I recognize why 3D models make more sense, why they're cheaper and that they have benefits like being able to customize and show physical changes when using equipment which would be costly on a 2D Sprite based engine. I've also dropped $60 so I can get a physical copy of the game.
But seeing these still kills me and makes me wish the game was 2D. Or really, it makes me wish Castlevania would come back with a proper, Sprite based entry. I'd love to have both series in tandem, focusing on different aspects of the genre.
