AMD Tflops that include GPU+CPU are dirt cheap in the price/power ratio at the minute. At the same time Microsoft is rumored to be doing a full custom setup for both their consoles instead of a semi-custom like Sony (Supposedly Ryzen 5/Navi in the dev kits but probably will be cut down a little more to hit TDP targets). Both will easily clear 10TF on the numbers but it's still Ayyyyyymd we're talking about.

pretty much. laptops are designed the same way. the form factor of either limits any cooling solution to tiny fans that can't movie any air or they use lengthy copper heat pipes to attempt to transfer heat from one side to the other other. that's why laptops have aftermarket cooling solutions that can help a little. consoles like laptops are designed for obsolescence and to be disposable. if it lasts 3 or 4 years then great, after that then tough shit buy a new one or just wait for the next device.
