actually, going for red would have been a mistake here, its aerowalk so he can get a good number of spawn kills if he drops to below red which also blocks the red spawn so that the other guy can't steal it. if he had went for the rocket jump or tried to go for red the other guy has a chance to spawn there because you cant spawn block in the air.

standing below it and going for some easy rails on the enemies spawn is the best answer, not to mention that it delays taking red so he can keep item control for longer

Yep, both are pretty good. Quantum Break however requires a lot of reading for you to understand the plot and the shooting isn't as a good as Max Payne, but the time manipulation powers are really neat to use.

There's a group with a discord attempting to remake the game in UE4. It seems to be going somewhere atm but they're looking for some staff it seems.

From what I know, it appears to be somewhat in a playable state, with maps still being ported over and other work done. The intent is to fully re-create the game, no hotfixes, patches, or balance changes added.
