These days that's generally true for 1.0 vidya particularly random indie shit. So I don't even care as long as the core is decent. And shit user, we know that would be true whether it was released in a year or two years, 1.0 always is buggy more time doesn't somehow make it perfect they just add more shit = more bugs. Bug squashing only begins after there is a community demanding it and testing across a thousand configurations.
Granted, usually it only takes a full year for it to get really polished and fleshed out. Real gamebreaker shit like CTDs and the like tend to be dealt with in the first patch within a few weeks.
