Chad Nero grew on me. Actually I'm used to the more realistic look by now in general and think everyone aside from Lady looks at least decent. I didn't really like her 4 iteration either. And I guess Vergil apparently not being an identical twin anymore also feels weird, though he himself looks okay.

From pure gameplay standpoint, yes. Aside from giving more moves for everyone Dante has even more weapons to choose from and Nero also got improved due to getting more arms with several different attacks to play around with, so you have much more than just a grab. V is really unique to play but least fleshed out of the three and while you can purchase additional skills, he gets no new unlocks like Nero's arms or Dante's weapons as you progress the story.

They really should've brought Kyrie back in some form and given her more of a role than just being Nero's trophy waifu, especially considering he's the supposed main protagonist now. She's so much of a blank slate they could've done literally anything with her character and it would've been interesting.

I prefer DMC3/4 especially the DT designs and how they looked there opposed to 5. But DMC5 is such a fucking fantastic game and the models aren't bad that they've grown on me especially Dante/non Mexican screenshot Vergil. I still prefer anime Nero to Chad Nero but I have coped.

How does one get good with Cerberus?
When you get down to the moveset of each individual mode it's pretty basic but if you put them all together it gets overwhelming. Do I constantly change between ice and fire? I only use lightning to snipe bats out of the air. The normal + SM moves on lightning are confusing me.

I have to put both my index and middle finger of each hand on the trigger buttons to get it to work. Timing exceed and knuckles is hard at first but you gotta develop some sort of galloping motion whenever you press your melee button. Look at the controller layout and you can see mine with the circle, R2, and L2 buttons. Melee and Jump are adjacent like that next to each other so I can do easy thumbslides for JCing. Same thing with breakaway because you can JC that as well which makes for more fluid combos.

You prefer a diaper for hair.

this is less about design and more about personality, with dante they went with this cool dude who is anime as fuck to some edgy pothead who swears a lot and the change was just too much to handle, with Nero personality wise he was already kind of a hothead who didn't really care about anyone except for kyrie, and by 5 he still just as violent and short tempered but now he shows more compassion towards others, so him going FUCK YOU on Vergil wasn't as jarring as when we first saw Donte while. also, now Nero stands out more than dante becouse frankly, his design was WAY too similar concept wise compared to dante other than colors, of course
