I played Maple a good deal back in like, 2006-ish, but never really got far into it because leveling took goddamn forever and was retardedly boring and grindy. I got to like level 34 on an ice/lit wiz before quitting.

Tried again in 2009ish, after all the class changes/buffs and stuff, and got to 55 or so before quitting again because once more, the game is just endless mob grinding and it got boring real fast.

......doesn't stop me from having a massive nostalgia-boner for it, though.

I used to be a dumbass level 20ish(?) warrior who used to put points in all my stats. I was so damn weak, but that didn't stop me from exploring. I remember going to all sorts of places in MapleStory and getting stuck there for a long time. I remember begging some guy to give me Eos Tower scrolls so I could get out of Omega Sector.

As much as the game design has gone to the shitter, the music's still incredible.

That's ideal, but that requires you to somehow get gear that will make up for your missing secondary stat. Let's put it this way. You can pump all your points into STR to let your Warrior hit real fucking hard, but you're going to miss a fuckton because you haven't put anything into DEX and therefore have no accuracy.

Snipers are for losers.

Hunters have arrow bomb, which is better for vertical maps with a lot of platforms. Crossbowmen have Iron Arrow, which is better for flat maps.

Ranger has a fire mobbing skill, Sniper has an ice skill that freezes.

Ranger has slightly faster attack speed, Sniper has a bit more raw damage.
