I remember that happened to me with my little brother. He beat me like 3 games in a row in Third Strike by mashing and I was so angry I wanted to smash our TV. However, I then just decided to start blocking and I beat him like 10 games in a row and then he got mad and left.

Ronnie has some funny ones about socially awkward people that we can relate to. Other ones just make him look so autistic that practically no one, outside of people so autistic they need a caretaker, would get it. Then he has lame ones about anime.

However, overall Ronnie is cool and that comic about not wanting to leave your room when there is company over, even though you're really thirsty, speaks so much to my 13 year old self that I can't possibly hate him.

Yes, it does. What is the point of the 4th and 5th panel? The 4th panel shows him opening the window cover, but that was already shown in Panel 3. His reaction in the 5th panel, in my opinion, is just not necessary. Him opening the window and them seeing himself is creepier (and funnier) than him opening the window, opening it more, then looking scared, then showing us what scared him.

I disagree. It doesn't build tension in a comic format when everything is on the same page. Tension is built in films, books, and comics when you're going from shot to shot, or page to page. In this sort of one page, short panel comic you want to hit the punchline as fast and effectively as you can.

I feel like the punchline doesn't hit as strong with those two panels between it. Not to mention I feel like it also subverts what you think, because you're not sure if he is gonna see something weird, humorous, or scary. Showing the other Ronnie instantly catches you off guard.
