You now remember the Tyranny

You now remember the Tyranny.

I actually really liked the game. Just wish it didn't end so abruptly. The setting was 10/10

Why the fuck you can't actually be evil in this game?
Why?
Isn't it the entire point of even making such a game?
If they weren't confortable with the idea, THEN WHY EVEN MAKE THIS?

>can kill a baby
>not evil
ow the edge

I hated how the game didn't have an option to follow the leader's orders. Your character would doubt the things happening and you were "hinted" and encouraged to betray him.
Grow some fucking balls and let us decide what we want to do, not you.

gameplay sucks, like all the obsidian crpgs. I would rather turn based than this shitty real time - turn based blended shit

this, why don't people want to be evil in vidya?
i always wanna try being evil in vidya at least once, this game is fucking dogshit.

Because this, you idiot:

Conceptually an amazing game. Basically, a game filled with ideas that had the potential to make a 10/10 rpg.
Unfortunately, it's writing ranged from atrocious to mediocre and the less said about Kills-In-Shadow the better.

Except they patched in the ending where you stay loyal, you idiots.

improved on POE in every way, and then it just ended after 20 hours when it felt like the game was just getting started. big shame

I wish I didn't.

just remember that this game was something like 90% strong wyman who need no men, that one important story mission forced you to agree with a woman that all men are useless and need to be exiled and that the main bad guy boss was a tranny

That still doesn't fix how whenever you recive letters or talk to some characters your dialogue options are usually either selfish evil or neutral. Your character WILL doubt and consider if Kyros is making the right decisions.

Which is stupid as fuck because due how the prologue works your character has done some really fucked up shit in the past, but now apparently he has his own ideas after assaulting some small city? Or because the leaders of a shitty clan talked you out of it?

>Why the fuck you can't actually be evil in this game?
>your dialogue options are usually either selfish evil
make up your mind

>nu-Obsidian
wew

Yeah, long after everyone finished the story, got to the abrupt and shitty ending, were forced to betray Kyros, and then just abandoned the game altogether.

>it's okay when motb did it

Best Obsidian game since KOTOR. Too bad about the ending.. so much more could have been done with the setting

The gameplay was generic cRPG, if you like it you like it. The combo attacks they tried were a good addition. Character and faction reputation was well implemented.
Gameplay was fine basically.

I really liked it, especially after it was fully patched. The biggest issue with the game was honestly the complete lack of advertising. They basically just released the game after only mentioning it once, they never gave it a chance.

You're suppossed to be the right hand of a fucking tyrant, yet all the evil options are jsut "UHUHUHU ME EVIL". No loyal to the tyrant, no acting like a professional for the tyrant, not blindly following orders and almost no "I'm evil but I have my own agenda".

80% of the dialogue options are betraying the tyrant, going rogue or being "evil" but not really because tyrants are bad.
The world isn't fucking black and white, good end evil have a broad spectrum and for a company that claims to be good at reflecting that they do a poor job when it comes to evil beyond "I kill people"

>why are you attacking? I'm loyal
>wait really?
>yea
>sorry I guess

Great fucking ending, really redeems everything.

it's the publisher's fault

Elaborate or I'm calling bullshit. Obsidian's latest shenanigans point otherwise.

What you are posting is so completely different from reality that there's really no argument here, you're just shitposting. There are 4 distinct routes through the game, leading into 8 distinct endings, one loyalist and one rebellion for each route.
You can literally side with the Vendrien Guard and still remain loyal to Kyros. You can side with Ashe, or Nerat, or nobody, and choose to either rebel or not. Your dialogue options are heavily affected by your stats, reputations and background.

>can't kill the werewolf
trash

I seem to remember the War archon was actually a good guy. Team Blue > Team Green
>just trying to keep my soldiers alive through this shit
vs
>i glow in the dark ha ha come on side with me bro do it side with the spooks
Military archon was best boy

>You can side with Ashe, or Nerat, or nobody, and choose to either rebel or not.
Not particularly meaningful decision since no matter what you're stuck with some unlikable assholes who are every character in this game.
>stats
All 3 of them?
>reputations
Grinding approval to unlock further dialogue options is hardly anything new for the rpg genre.
>background
With the usual obsidian tradition for favoring what they like and shoving it down your throat.
>41 - Hunter
>19 - Soldier
>17 - Guild Apprentice
>15 - Diplomat
>11 - Pit Fighter
>11 - Noble Scion
>8 - War Mage
>6 - Lawbreaker

Not really. Ashe literally took the pain of the Disfavored onto himself when his protection kicked in. He didn't so much want to protect them as he just couldn't take the pain anymore.
Nerat has a ton of hidden dialogue most people missed, which you can't see unless you mouse over the expository text describing the motions he's making with his staff, he's using it to speak to you telepathically. He's not as nutty as he seems and one of the "good guy" endings comes from Getting Lantry's loyalty up to 2, then feeding him to Nerat. Which results in Lantry taking over and becoming the Voices of Lantry.

I 'member.
I 'member playing it during a free weekend and hating it, despite the seemingly cool premise.
The thing that killed it was the complete and total lack of characters I liked. It is important for me to find some NPC to latch onto in an RPG so that I have a reason to care about its world, and Tyranny's NPCs were all just awful.

>the game ends as soon as you get all these cool unique gears and archon power and shit

> Play as an "Evil" character.
> Can't even rape people.
> Take orders from some Stonkwomyn.

>can't actually be evil in this game
Did you even play the game?

Why is Kyros supposed to be evil again? She seems to bring progress and prosperity to everyone she conquers.

haven't played tyranny. the only game cRPG that did evil right was nwn2: mask of the betrayer.

does this game come close?

>patched in the ending
>patching in THE FUCKING ENDING

It isn't """""patching"""""" shit, it's bending over after realizing your shit decisions made players (as in your fucking target audience) pretty fucking mad.

Fuck no.

>it's okay when modders have to patch half the game in kotor2
>wtf how dares this game not have an ending that panders to me
Yikes

Do you realize you're completely missing the point?

Man the game had some really cool shit like the evil dude (forgot his name) with his mind telepathy shit being hidden in the tooltips or something like that.
Really too bad the game didnt get the money support it needed.

>Can't even pull a Kreia
Hard pass.

This game and its lore is fucking awesome.

But Yea Forums has always said that any problem in any obsidian game is because of the evil publisher's meddling?

>tfw you eat the Founder

Attached: 1322531048562.jpg (242x359, 12K)

the game was unfinished at launch and you can now follow kyros to the end

Divinity OS 1+2 and Kingmaker were better games

>this user is underage

That shit they patched in is so half-assed it's little more than a joke.

honestly the MOTB full evil ending is my favorite
the gods want their shitty wall to stay up? then they better deal with an abomination spawned from it that's immortal as long as that damn wall stands

>fatebinder is supposed to be the jury, judge and executioner
>a random chorus sidequest giver willingly sends you into an ambush
>game only allows you to lightly punch her afterwards because she's a strong independent woman and you can't execute strong independent women
