The correct way to play Sekiro is to mod it so that
>you don’t need to buy spirit emblems, they refill on rest
>axe, spear and shield don’t use spirit emblems
So much more fun this way.
The correct way to play Sekiro is to mod it so that
Do these mods exist?
No
sounda like the faggot way to play it
go kys u filthy pleb
if you remove firecrackers, sure
>>you don’t need to buy spirit emblems, they refill on rest
That's dumb, spirit emblems are plentiful and you can buy them cheaply at any idol.
they scale in cost throughout the game to the point youll have to grind if you want to buy them " cheaply" still
at that point they aren't cheap anymore
you lose them if you die to a boss, which will happen 20 times and more
making them utterly useless
i finished ng with over 500 spirit emblems to spare. over 500. what is wrong with you
I use prosthetics as often as possible just to make the fights look cooler.
What? I've done every area except the sunken valley and I have like 500 in store. Perhaps you are dying/relying on them too much?
That happened to me during the lady butterfly fight. I went straight to that area as soon as I got the bell, and died a fuck ton to the drunkard. By the time I got to lady butterfly I had maybe 100 spirit emblems and lost them all real quick. I finally beat her without using them and she taught me the core mechanics of this game's combat.
apologist numales
PCtards always fucking shit up.
I think the 3 should be unlimited just to make the combat feel a little more varied. Just using your sword starts to get boring after a while. They have long wind up times so not exactly overpowered.
if you die 20 times to a boss AFTER using all of your 15-20 emblems you should just stop playing the game. jesus christ, not even the final boss is that hard.
Halfway through the game I was already maxed at 999 in storage. I understand needing a limit but the reserves may as well have been infinite if you can just buy them at any idol.
The 3 what?
Because I don't want an unnecessary handicap in a purposefully difficult game?
>I'm so much of a bitch I need to cheat in a single player game
Go blog about it faggot.
Axe, spear and shield. Don’t deny that the game would benefit from a few more active offensive options. The reason the axe and spear don’t fill that role is exactly because most people avoid using them often because they use up emblems. Trash mobs are piss easy anyway and these weapons would make fights more fun. Also they are slow so they’re not exactly overpowered against bosses either.
fuck you
Fuck that, the biggest kick to my autism is that bosses don't restore an entire bar of revive between phases.
>Have 3 revives entering fight.
>Use more than one by dying in each phase.
>Lose anyway.
>Go grind back up to full or fight the boss with only one revive available this time.
...
cheat engine
this
>>Use more than one by dying in each phase.
LMFAO
“why cant i just keep dying wtf”????
it should refill half circle for each bar
>“why cant i just keep dying wtf”????
>He hasn't played the game.
>you don’t need to buy spirit emblems, they refill on rest
If you have to buy Spirit Emblems then I don't know what to say
He's talking about reviving from dying obviously
I spent four hours on Owl and I never ran out of Spirit Emblems
I finished the game at capped spirit emblems (999), how much of a shitter are you that you have to rely on prosthetics that much? Gi9t gud.
Yeah, and he hasn't played the game because you can do just that. Except only one in every four attempts because that's when you build up a second revive.
Or they could have just made the bosses harder and give a full revive between phases like sane developers.
Relying on Prosthetics genuinely makes the game more challenging though. Trying to use anything but Firecrackers, Raven Feathers or the Umbrella against bosses usually ends up in getting shat on. Same shit for Combat Arts.
You're better off unga-bungaing the whole game with L1 and R1 that trying to be cute and creative with your tools.
You're supposed to save the second/third revive for when you make it very far and are confident you can beat the boss if you res one more time.
>Having a third revive instead of saving the Sakura Droplet since it's clearly special to Kuro
Disgraceful.
>You're supposed to save the things that help you beat the boss for when you don't need them.
Might as well try to argue that resting should only restore half your healing gourds, and if you want to enter a boss with the full complement you have to grind them out.
I can use the Sakura Droplet?
skills should have drawn from your box, then emblems should drop even if you're maxed on-person to go into inventory
ez game but I want to play with the other skills frequently
why dont you just turn god mode on if it's too hard
it's more fun that way, right?
You can offer it to Kuro or the Resurrection child on the Mt. When you offer it to Kuro, IIRC, he mentions he finds it to be nostalgic or special, but then tells you that you shouldn't mind the significance it might have for him and to use it to aid you in your quest.
Pretty useless IMO. Two is more than enough.
Shit am I supposed to fucking save it for the ending or something? I haven't even used the second revive once. Please tell me I don't have to, for fucks sake.
>for when you don't need them
At that point where you can revive and the boss is close to death than you clearly do. If you waste it then you get punished instead of just getting it back for free.
Also the gourd charge thing you came up with; the argument isn't the same, because the revives are a safety net, the gourd isn't.
>buy a fuck load of emblems at the start of the game, just did monkey boss, have more than I originally bought
What the fuck is with you people? How fucking casual are you fuckers? It's like healing grass all over again.
>because the revives are a safety net, the gourd isn't.
Bull. There's no functional difference between the two forms of healing, other than the fact that one makes you waste a minute backstabbing mooks to refill.
Emblems should just not exist altogether. They are a garbage mechanic literally imposing limitations on the fun of the game. The combat is boring as all fuck, combat arts are already completely useless and the tools are severely limited without even being OP. They restricted their usage for no good reason whatsoever.
that would be a lot better.
what the fuck is it with companies screwing up prosthetic arm mechanics?
Sekiros emblem system is shit
and nero in DMC5 can't even cycle though arms.
tfw don't know if mods will ever come out to fix these.
One gives you a heal before you die, and you need to step back and take the time to heal and potentially get caught out.
One gives you a heal AFTER you die, with no risk, and the first one is FREE.
That's a pretty big difference honestly.
>sekiro is an EPIC™ HARDCORE™ GAMER™ EXPERIENCE™! REAL GAMERS™ ONLY! ! !
This is the bloodvials discussion all over again.
If they are so easy to obtain/farm/buy, why not just make them infinite like the Estus? The only thing it does is that, ever once in a while after trying a boss 10 times, you'll have to spend however much farming them, which is completely pointless, however easy.
It's a shit design decision, but since FROM apologists cant accept even one single flaw, they have bend backwards to justify it as good.
>One gives you a heal before you die, and you need to step back and take the time to heal and potentially get caught out.
>One gives you a heal AFTER you die, with no risk, and the first one is FREE.
That has nothing to do with the definition of a safety net, or rather, if you define it that way then it does nothing for your argument. Why shouldn't you be allowed to use your safety net? Why are safety net heals not fully recharged but regular heals are? Why shouldn't gourds work like I described? It's blood vials all over again -- if you can just refill it in a minute, why make the player do it? Make the bosses harder if you have to.
>Played the game without dying until lightning genichiro (fucker killed me with thunder at the LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT because I didn't know how to counter it yet)
>always had like 130 papers on stock
>Get to final boss
>Try to get in with shuriken rush
>Try for about an hour
>no more papers
>0 money because I already used my bounty in other usefull items
>each paper now costs 50 sen
Thank god I didn't actually need papers for the final boss, otherwise I would've killed myself. It was worse in bloodborne though, fucking limited healing items was a terrible idea even in demon's souls
Sakura Drop doesn't affect the ending. It's just my own autismal little niggles.
Paper??
spirit emblems
Pretty much this.
Why discourage players from using the prosthetic by tying it to a limited consumable when it's one of the few things that introduces some much needed variety to the combat?
They're already underwhelming for the most part, no need to make it even worse...
>That has nothing to do with the definition of a safety net, or rather, if you define it that way then it does nothing for your argument.
pic related is the definition of safety net. It is your trump card to use when you're backed into a corner, your final option.
> Why shouldn't you be allowed to use your safety net?
You can, but only when you really need it.
>Why are safety net heals not fully recharged but regular heals are?
Because it's your punishment for using it wrong. "But how is that using it wrong" - because the game puts the punishment there so you don't use it every time, and instead you will run out and not be able to use it again until you get it back. "But that's stupid, it's just tedious" - That's how it's supposed to be, so you don't use it all the time.
>Why shouldn't gourds work like I described?
Because it's like the blood vials but worse. "But the revive is just like the blood vials" - no it isn't
> It's blood vials all over again
The revives aren't the same as the blood vials, they are very different. The blood vials are your primary healing source, like the gourd seeds, but can run out because you used them too much, which is stupid. The second/third revive can run out because you use it too much, but it's not stupid because it's your final option and that's your punishment. Save it for later.
>if you can just refill it in a minute, why make the player do it?
It's their punishment for using the revive wrong
You know that only reinforces the idea that they should replenish like estus, right? If something is plentiful, easy to acquire, and unlikely to run out, then why not just have them be infinite in the first place?
Sorry I changed pic related because I spent like 15 minutes being autistic and forgot.
Here it is.
>Special to Kuro
The Sakura Droplet isn't even his you fucking dingus, it's from Lord Takeru.
Literally never had to worry about spirit emblem stock during my playthrough.
