Bring back franchises from a number of years hasn't exactly had the best track record, and even some of the better results still lack in many respects when compared to the originals.
Doom and Deus Ex are decent examples off the top of my head. Their newer games have been good, but still lack much of what their predecessors had. The newer Deus Ex games lack the depth and complexity of the first game. Whereas Nu-Doom fumbles with concessions made for consoles, map design, and poor number of active enemies in the world at any given time.

I didn't mind Prey, but it helps that I go into it expecting system shock. I actually didn't go in expecting anything. I had hear and seen virtually nothing about it until I decided to buy it on sale for cheap.
I enjoyed it, but I felt like they could have done so much more with the enemies and the world considering the tool set they give you.

The thing that really kicked me in the balls about Prey was the fact that it reminded me that that genre will never not be dead as fuck.

Gameplay wise yeah; but the original bloodlines isn't a cult classic because of the gameplay its a cult classic because of the world, writing and tone. These things are a little harder to recreate.

bloodlines has great gameplay. stuff like the haunted house is gameplay. everything you do in the game that doesn't involve fighting is extremely engaging. people call it an RPG, but it's really more like an adventure game.

Screw Bloodlines, White Wolf itself has always been pretty progressive and sometimes borderline SJW, so I don't really mind that.

And Bloodlines is great and not too filled with schlock. But it IS THERE.

Seduction is borderline useless for males, only helps with feeding
But for women, it can pretty much replace Persuasion, so its worth investing in
Wits and Dodge will make you unkillable

Yep, only through Vicissitude or certain Thaumaturgical rituals can you change your forms, although some Toreador vampires can naturally change their forms (get tatoos, cut their hair etc)

Just finished the game there, holy fuck what happened with the development of the game considering the end of the game. It takes a complete nose dive in quality. I loved it and will no doubt replay it again at some point but the end of the game has put me of for a little bit.

I don't know if this game will be good or not, but at least it got me to play VTMB and it's been fun
