how are xbone controllers? I'm still using a 360 controller cause it works just fine and has for the last 14 years.

The elite is comfy, back paddles are great in souls games so you can dodge and shit while moving the camera.

The analog sticks are also a minor improvement, only when you go back to the old ones do you realise how grainy they feel in comparison. Having a D-pad that actually works is also a massive boon.

I don't see much point buying just the base model, I hear the components aren't as good, and back paddles are really the major reason you'd want to upgrade.

No way in hell I'd spend that much on a controller, honestly. I'd be using my ds4 if I didn't have to set it individually for every fucking game on steam or use that malware shit.

I'm obviously assuming you aren't retarded and you pick one up second hand from a zoomer for under 50 bucks, if you pay retail obviously it's not worth it.

About the same. Maybe slightly smoother, but it's hard to tell when comparing something that's only a couple of years old vs something that's over a decade old.

With the elite you can set all that shit however you want. The deadzone by default is very low though.

I buy pretty much all of my shit second-hand, because it takes 5 minutes to take it apart and clean all the parts with soap if you're bothered about that shit. It's also the only reasonable way to get controllers for older consoles.

The look. They both connect to the same D-pad below, I've only ever bothered with the traditional one because it's not a controller you'd want to use for anything D-pad heavy anyway. The case is really slick though, for someone who pulls out the controller every few months or so it's much nicer than tossing it in a drawer.

It's great. I've just upgraded from a wired 360 myself due to both sticks drifting.
Love the feel of the larger triggers, hell, the overall larger design and feel.
Also got a bluetooth dongle for wireless so I'm still adjusting to the phantom wire syndrome.
