Why do people support this? I have friends that claim EA's services fuck them over every time and they think the games are dogshit but will buy new FIFA at full price as soon as its out.
Why do people support this...
What is "friend" for you?
Its the only good football game.
It gives me probably over 2k hours of gameplay a year.
Find a better deal for $60
Because they are drones and play online
>Its the only good football game.
PES is unironically better but retards complain about licences when it's piss easy to mod, and completely discard the objectively superior gameplay.
There are no good football games because the sport it comes from is shit
People that play sports games tend to only play sports fans, so I've purchase a year means nothing for them.
>mod
Everybody plays those games on the Playstation
I used to play these games but didn't give a shit about microtransactions since I just do seasons with existing teams I don't give a shit about the journey or whatever version
I stopped because of the rubberbanding and cheating AI
you can mod teams even in consoles
konami pretty much expects people to do this
its a game for npcs
>It gives me probably over 2k hours of gameplay a year.
>Find a better deal for $60
dwarf fortress givess me 2k hours a year for free
pirate it and itll be a good deal for 0 dollars
Football is an institution in europe and some people are willing to kill eachother and wish death upon other people because they support another team. It's only natural that the games are that popular.
NOOOORF
unironically the only good sports games are the F1 games
Because to normies buying the new Fifa is like buying the new line of Nikes or the latest smartphone. It's social brownie points and something they can use to fit in with the friends in their social circle. NPC shit basically.
>u/dcxr
this
go watch some more commercials, burger
People are just too used to the yearly release model for the game. It used to make sense back in the ps1/ps2 days where they would have the annual release to capture all the developments in the football world - new players coming into the adult leagues, players transferring and general developments in their abilities.
Nowadays that shit can EASILY be accomplished with patches since it's mostly just tweaking some values. It would be a far less scummy practise to sell the game and perhaps an annual subscription of £15 to get all the latest data for the game, with a new full release only necessary for drastic engine reworks. But EA will continue this business model as long as retards keep paying for it.
Reminder that football refers to a game played on foot instead of on horse and not in relation to what you do with the ball
fifth post best post
And WRC and rally games and GT games
driving sims in genral.
Youre talking about normies. NPCs are entirely different thing.
>It gives me probably over 2k hours of gameplay a year.
>Find a better deal for $60
A ball
>PES is unironically better
Said every single year yet every single year no one is playing it
Yes, because >MUH LICENCES and because the EA marketing budget is just that big.
>Watermarking a meme that would literally take less than five minutes to create
Here, look. I got rid of it in 20 seconds. I hate faggots that do this.
In the UK you don't really have much choice unless you're a sperg.
You're not going to play PES when all your friends are playing FIFA, and you're not going to not play a football game. This year's FIFA is actually the worst it's ever been as well (for certain game modes), but the majority of people don't realise/care.
99% of people don't think, "I wonder if the new FIFA is getting good reviews" or "I wonder if they've fixed x problems", you just buy the game when it's out.
t. never played either
Pes has some good stuff but its an objectively worse game. From gameplay quality to presentation to online modes.
Its a limited budget game that's alright for an hour or two.
Furthermore people that play it as much as others play fifa complain about basically the same stuff that fifa players complain.
Last good pes game was Pes 6.
>oi muh loicense!
Same old excuse. It's not that, its just shit.
>t. never played either
I'm with the 4CC and I play actual PES on the side. When I played FIFA with some mates at a cafe it was just "dash to the opposing goal and shoot". I could hold my own very well playing teams like Crystal Palace, and when I switched to Milan I shat on them. FIFA is arcadey as fuck.
