I want a good AC game. The single player has always been shit imo. Every level of every mission is poo. For answer and V had stylish multiplayer but I never got into it.

V and 4Answer had great singleplayers and that's what From should and will aim for going foreword.
People expect SP games or mainly SP/mixed Multiplayer games out of From.

It's not like AC ever had great writing but it did the job better by being concise and straight to the point. Grrm's style wouldn't fit

Don't listen to that nonce. 3, Silent Line, Nexus and Last Raven are the must plays.
They are must play but not as first, even AC1 is more immediately fun than those 3 because even 3 assume you have experience with the series
So a newbie should start with something easier and less clunky. Doesn't help that the PS2 AC games are utter trash to emulate while AC4 is already perfect.
I've been seeing Armored Core being mentioned a lot lately, I wonder if there's some sort of revival of interest for the series happening
Also, when did you realize that the worlds these games are set in are all basically ancap dystopias?
