Honestly one of the absolute best endings of a game I've ever experienced, and all the Vergil fights are pure kino. The story of 3 is also really underrated, Lady and Dante have satisfying character arcs and Vergil is a fantastic rival.
I just wish 3 didn't have some really annoying enemy designs and backtracking because it'd be a perfect game without those two flaws.

I also feel like the voice acting wouldn't be as good, Dan's voice in 4 and 5 just doesn't sound the same. DMC3 Vergil is menacing with a bit of a growl, DMC4, 5, and MVC3 mostly lost that.
I would still love a remake just to see how well they execute it. I feel like 3 has aged well enough that it kind of doesn't need one, though.
