5 Griffon is the manifestation of Vergil's memories of the real Griffon he met. Just an illusion based on dreams and memories.
In fact, Vergil's memories must been pretty hazy from all the mind break, because the real griffon and his interpretation of griffon are pretty damn different.

I'm just tired of Marvel in general and would like to see some brand new characters instead of the same old Iron Man, Spidey, Cap, etc. There are also a ton of Capcom characters from MvC3/Infinite I would rather not see come back in favor of new characters or ones with revamped movesets, like Dante being based on DMC5.
I wouldn't mind DMC5 Nero, he's a cool dude, but I'd rather have Lady and/or Vergil if it were up to me. I feel there is more unique things you could do in a 2D Fighting game with Lady's DMC4SE moveset than Nero.

Nero is a shoe-in for their next crossover, and I think he'd be a very interesting character to design and to play as. I can't think of anything like the rev mechanic in any fighting game ever, and I think it could work.
