DEINK YOU KIND SIR
because is the best one
Skyrim is worse if you are comparing the base game
It's the best though!
newfags joined at Skyrim
Oldfags started at Daggerfall/Morrowind
Nobody started at Oblivion
Arena is considered the worst. Or at least it's the only one I haven't seen defended on Yea Forums
FUCK READING LMAO
HEHE
WANT TO HEAR A KHAJIIT JOKE?
I tried Oblivion but is so boring.
At least I can have some features from that game in my Skyrim I liked the HUD, the creatures and the ebony armor with gold trims.
Those are minotaurs from Beyond Bruma they now spawn near Falkreath, also Imps, Ogres and Goblins.
Enemies levelling up with you was the only issue. It was never said in the game or manual
So if you didn't keep up your weapon/armor and pump endurance ASAP, you were fucked.
Endurance wasn't retroactively leveled so it was possible to have terriblly low health
Plus the main quest enemies scaled to your level so you could have a really bad time.
Also Mazoga would die randomly
Not new enough to be "in" not old enough for nostalgia goggles.
someone post that pasta about oblivion
Best to worst:
Morrowind > Daggerfall > Oblivion > Arena > Skyrim > that online bullshit
I mean Beyond Skyrim.
morrowind's gameplay is shit though.
>Gameplay
Morrowind > Skyrim > Oblivion
>Story
Morrowind > Oblivion > Skyrim
>Quests
Oblivion > Morrowind > Skyrim
>Music
Oblivion > Skyrim > Morrowind
>Overall
Morrowind > Oblivion > Skyrim
depending on what you value though
While Skyrim tried to appeal to modern console players, Oblivion was in this sort of halfway point where Bethesda had a really new high-tech engine and weren't really sure what they could or should do with it.
The quality control in Oblivion is all over the place, and when compared to at least how Morrowinds scale felt, it kind of fell short. The new tech was impressive at the time, so this was GOTY material in 2006. Compared to Skyrim now though (especially with mods) there's a lot of things Oblivion falls pretty short on. The quest design and side content in Oblivion is better than vanilla base Skyrim IMO, but the magic, general combat, and PVE scaling in Oblivion is really, really bad.
Level scaling, setting is incredibly boring, everything is HP spongey as fuck.
>BAWWW I WANT A PSEUDO-RPG FPS WHY DO I HAVE AN RPG THAT ACTUALLY ROLLS THE DICE ACCORDING TO MY STATS LIKE A REAL RPG THAT MAKES ME POSSIBLY MISS I AM TOO 12 YEAR OLD ADD STUPID FOR THIS SHIT
By whom? My guess is maybe because it had only like five voice actors, and horrendous potato faces.
Morrowind really suffers from not having separate music tracks for dungeon interiors and the like.
Whats there is amazing, but there needed to be so much more.
At the time, it wasn't.
The transition to full voice acting, NPC schedules, and quest markers was at its most awkward.
Oblivion was self aware. It was far more action based, and no longer reliant on pacing through locale. Because of leveled items and leveled dungeons, any part of the game was accessible to any character at any time.
In every way it was in direct opposition to traditional RPG design. It was brand new, and they didn't know how to use it yet. They really didn't. Skyrim is an improvement in every way to oblivion, and it's far more grounded in this loot based, low quest, high exploration design.
eh MW music also kinda falls flat on the composition
Soule at that point was still composing classical pieces he'd then fit into a video game framework.
Oblivion and Skyrim are soundtracks made for an open world video game. very atmospheric, very ambient, fits the world perfectly.
I liked it more than Oblivion
What other creatures that mod have?
This but unironically
>No quest markers
>*Miss*
>Every conversation with an NPC is a Novella
>*Miss*
>Directions are purposely bad to extend gametime and aren't even immersive since realistically they'd at least be able to mark a general area on your map

Morrowind Yea Forumsipsters are worse than Resetera tranny invaders at this point with their level of nostalgiafag coping
WHAT'S NEW WITH YOU?
The game wasn't designed with illiterate people in mind.
Look, twelve year old Dumbest Generationals, you don't want an RPG, you want an FPS. So stay the fuck out of RPGs.
>every conversation a novella
It's nothing compared to your fucking stupid other games having 200000 hours of goddamn cutscenes.
Because Zoomers never played Arena or Redguard
Amulet of Kings
nobody did
>I played morrowind for 30 MINUTES
>you will NEVER GUESS WHAT HAPPENED!!1!
Arena is the worst but Oblivion is second worst for main entries only.
Boring setting, broken leveling, enemies were health buckets, the main story was meh. Started the two second long dungeons and whack em 3,000 times combat system. The expansions and Guild missions are it's only saving grace.
Go to Yea Forums if you're interested in reading, video games aren't for you.
Nah son it's fun as hell
That's not MW, that's a mod.
go to if you're interested in media that plays for you, video games aren't for you
I played and finished Arena and I wouldn't recommend it
Why is Balmora in the middle of a rainforest?
The ones what I said and some creatures called "gehenoth".
Also there's diffrent types of enemies for example there's an armored ogre.
I really don't understand mods that change the entire aesthetic, but eh, to each their own I guess
he says as he watches Yea Forumsgames
Wes Johnson made Oblivion my favorite game.
Arena was such a bad fucking game. I mean even for the time it had to have been bad and boring. Ultima fucking existed, the shear amount of improvement between Arena and Daggerfall is staggering.
I don't play games made by Quantic Dream user.
shivering isles is still one of the best expansions in the bethesda catalog
Arena is the worst by far, none of them hold a candle to its shittiness. It's a wonder that Daggerfall was ever even made because of just how bad Arena is.
That's not Skyrim
It is. I'm also a Caps fan, and I love that he does the arena announcing there. He did a game as Sheogorath once
Morrowind >= Daggerfall > Skyrim > Obvion >= ESO >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Arena
>Skyrim over Oblivion
"No."
Sod off people on here only hate Skyrim because it's more popular than elder scrolls as a whole. There's some legitimate complaints sure but it's a decent game. Better than Arena and Oblivion for sure.
This is close for me but I think Skyrim's combat is dogshit, I hated pausing size times per fight to change spells or weapons. Oblivion's scaling sucked but Skyrim does the same thing.
besides the gameplay and music part, pretty accurate
zoom zoom
>ESO
>anywhere at all
If your character misses more than 20% of attacks, you have sub 60IQ
>size times
I had a stroke I guess. Nine times.
If I hit someone at point blank and the game decides I "missed" it's a bad game.
Beyond Bruma alone just Bruma probably has more content than all Skyrim cities together.
Modders never cease to amaze me.
The spin offs are all worse, with Shadowkey being arguable I guess. That was on the fucking N-gage though so GL finding the defenders of that shit.
I did
was just old enough to be impressed by the graphics
SEETHING
now give back the dedicated spell button todd
I did.
Skipped Morrowind because the immersion is fucked.
Oblivion has the GOAT soundtrack and the GOAT DLC: shivering isles.
i just realized they took it away because consoles only had so many buttons and todd wanted the shouts accessable at all times. guess which button got the boot
>Skipped Morrowind
But the immersion is the best. You feel like you're in an alien world surrounded by assholes.
skyrim is a better oblivion; i.e., if oblivion had fully embraced itself, it would just be skyrim.
skyrim is a great game, but it's not really a classical rpg in any sense. It's a great action game.
Oblivion is a bad action game and a bad rpg that got saved from the trash bin with a great expansion and long questlines.
>tfw got the Teen version of Oblivion at launch and didn't need to lobby my parents to get it for me
? It isn't. Skyrim is. The only people who like Skyrim are normie faggots who started gaming in 2010 and weebs who mod it so they can masturbate to giant breasted lizards.
Nothing immersive about missing when you hit someone at point blank. Despite what Yea Forumsipsters say, combat, and animations matter more for immersion than dialogue options.
I forgot about that. Wasn't it because of mods or something like that? ESRB has always been retarded.
This sounds like a child's interpretation of skyrim
Because if you liked Oblivion more than Morrowind then you should like Skyrim more than Oblivion. If you liked Oblivion more than you liked Skyrim than you should like Morrowind more than you liked Oblivion.
>Skyrim
>a great action game
pick one
>i played morrowind for 30 MINUTES
>YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED!!1!
oh yeah because Skyrim is so deep and big brained my bad I forgot
>He posted it again
unlike your comments about it?
are you actually retarded or just pretending?
I did, most of us did retard, anyone who is now 24+ likely started at oblivion. I had it on the xbox 360, it ran like shit and was full of bugs, the graphics were awful compared to the pc version and mods, but it was one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had.
>hE pOsTeD iT aGaIN
I'm 28 and I started on Morrowind on Xbox faggot
No I just prefer immersive and fun video games over boring digital choose your own adventure novels.
yes. it is a great game and you have great taste. you aren't just some zoomer who doesn't know what an rpg is. fallout 4 is great right?
>Skipped Morrowind because the immersion is fucked.
>Oblivion has the GOAT soundtrack
Morrowind has the best immersion and the GOAT soundtrack.
>High inhib emotionally peer pressured into liking a bad game
Oh no no no
I hated enemy level scaling, everything else was dope.
Sex dungeon...you forgot about the sex dungeons, and animations that go with it.
Better than Morrowind at least
but Daggerfall does the same thing
>fallout 4 is great right?
Yeah. In fact I'd go as far as to call it the best RPG of this generation.
Certainly blows Fallout New Vegas out of the water, alongside all of the other old and busted Fallout games nobody put sad, lonely, pathetic, contrarian boomers infesting Yea Forums actually give a rat's ass about in 2019.
Literally no one I knew knew it existed. I randomly found it at an eb games. And it was a billion times the game either of the other two are.
I never called skyrim an rpg you dumb faggot
if you play skyrim and put it down because it's not a classical rpg then you're a literal inbred retard. When you save enough money to order a blowjob, are you surprised when she sucks your dick?
Isn't the Oblivion menu theme literally a soulless version of the Morrowind menu theme?
AHH HEHEHE OOOOOO HE TRIED IT
You gotta keep going.
I’m 26 and I started at Morrowind
I'm confused which of the scrolls games have thr most spells and variety. I remember some fag said morrowind had more spells than skyrim or oblivion.

>"Why would you play the game expecting it to be an RPG?"
It does everything better than the others except the world and questing.
The constant missing apart of the janky charm. It's makes it stupidly funny
If a game is better as a game by being less of an "RPG" I'm fine with that.
Just because something is an RPG doesn't give it a free pass to be a shit game like Yea Forumsipsters seem to give to all the old outdated filth.
bad taste
worst taste
I'm 29, and I started with Skyrim.
I had a bias against first person games from getting dizzy from some shitty one in 2001, and much prefering my PS2 with Jak and Daxter and Kingdom Hearts, so I mostly missed those games in the Aughts. I did get Fallout 3 in 2009 and that changed stuff though, TF2 shortly after.
This.
Hi Todd.
god I'm glad this is just bait
I did this and my jackass sister told my dad about it, but my dad respected the dedication I went through of going to several different retailers looking for a teen one that he let it pass because it said T on the box
Because it was primarily engineered for consoles at the time and much of it was restricted to be able to run on them and expand sales - that's literally why a lot of people are fans of ES
it's considered the worst by people who've tried to play without following the games autistic levelling rules or just not modding it to fix them
Keep coping
>If your character misses more than 20% of attacks, you have sub 60IQ
You're saying that every last Morrowind player is a sub 60IQ?
Morrowind>Oblivion>Skyrim
Skyrim has garbage quests and there's nothing else to do in a TES game.
Is it nostalgia if you replay it every year, and its still talked about on a daily basis?
Cope harder Faggot
The side quests will always be what cements Oblivion as great in my heart, plain and simple. They weren't super complex or anything, but you were always stumbling into something new and distinct. Falling into a painting, exploring a man's nightmares, waking up on a hijacked boat, finding a village where all the people have been turned invisible, etc.
The improved gameplay and visuals of later games are all for naught if there isn't anything really interesting to find while exploring the world.
Read a review in Game Informer where they ended up abandoning the main quest to collect books and wander the countryside.
Picked it up about a week later.
>Gameplay
>Morrowind > Skyrim > Oblivion
come on now morrowind's combat system was absolute dogshit even for 2002, oblivion and skyrim have nothing interesting going on either but at least it's passable
Anyone who plays for awhile knows not to go hopping around when you're expecting combat to conserve stamina, to build for a type of weapon and then *use* it, and to usually carry a couple spare stamina potions around just in case.
Or you can be an idiot and post the old Morrowind meme gold where the guy has no stamina and probably five skill in the weapon he's using and surprise surprise is missing.
unmodded
daggerfall > morrowind
modded
morrowind >daggerfall
not interested in the other shitty games in the series.
Skyrim is considered the worst by everyone that didnt play it first if that's worth anything. Too much simplification across the board. Aesthetically better than oblivion but systematically worse in every other department. Morrowind will always be the best Elder Scrolls game and even then Daggerfall fans say its too simplified. It's all down to opinion, but it's just a fact that Skyrims gameplay system elements are the most shallow and lacklustre.
Is this how they honor the Sixth House and the tribe unmourned?
I'm 22 and I started with Daggerfall, but got invested in the series around Morrowind
Because it is the awkward inbetween phase of morrowind and skyrim.
Morrowind had a ton of traditional RPG elements, and although the gameplay suffers from it, the freedom and complexity add a lot to the game. So much so that how awful it is to play is not a big deal.
Skyrim has little traditional RPG complexity, however they improved the gameplay enough that it's easy enough to forgive the lack of depth.
Oblivion is somewhere in the middle, not enough traditional RPG elements to be complex in any real way, but the gameplay isn't quite where it needs to be in order to make up for it.
At the time it came out, it was an amazing game but it didn't age well. Still my favorite though.
