Well i'm not a Vampire expert but i faintly remember that Vampires have a dislike for sunlight, which usually appears during the day, so of any setting where a Day/Night cycle could have a gameplay effect, it would be this.
Your character would have to mind finding a save place in time.
There could be a gameplay sequence where your character is forced to stay awake during the day which weakens him/her/xir, etc

To be honest, I didn't know much about Paradox before now, but I agree that their involvement is worrying now that I've read up on them a bit. I couldn't care less about the politics as long as its just shit that's easily ignored like picking your pronouns at character creation, I can just set it to match my character's gender then go on with my day. One of the early things he did was turn a couple into vampires because he wanted them to love each other forever, then they killed themselves when they realized they couldn't have children. All of his "children" are constantly fighting and killing each other. He wants to die. He's just too stubborn to ask for forgiveness.
Fair enough, I guess I can see how being immortal would suck with having to watch everyone you ever meet die, but the crazy ass reality warping powers seem strange. The only explanation I can think of is that he was granted these powers to further alienate him from others and have others fear him. That combined with his need to drink blood would be a pretty effective way to make having a relationship with anyone who isnt scared shitless of him impossible.
