I'm not the biggest fan of FPS games. If it wasn't for Jak 3, I would've said San Andreas though.

The only other games for 2003 that come to mind for me are Jakk II and KOTOR. I don't know about 2006 though.

MGS3 was very good. 2004 was one of the better years, so it was pretty hard. For me 2009 was the hardest though. Nice list.

Prime 2 was very good too, but it just didn't feel the same as the first one to me.

I think there's nothing wrong with picking a more fun game over a "better" one. KOTOR 2 was a great game, also AoE 3. 2000-2005 definitely was very hard for me too. I think the early 2000s were the peak of gaming personally.

I think overall it's good, Melee, Vice City and Prime 2 are very good. Dead Space wasn't bad. I'm gonna have to respectfully disagree on Halo 3 though.

I chose halo 3 over great SP games like stalker and Bioshock for a similar reason I chose melee. I put a ton of time into the multiplayer, and it was really fun with friends with all the co-op custom modes. I understand it's not for everyone, but god do I miss it sometimes.
