Of course I did.

I want bunny boys but if they're shotas i'm going to kill every pedo faggot I see or at the very least report them to the feds
FUCK PEDOS

I did. Who gives a fuck about the other fags anyway.

I asked about all the scions

>Also why the fuck is this looking to be most rushed expansion even by Yoshida's standards

Because YoshiP can and will get away with it. The zones are reused assets. The new hub is a reused asset from a 2005 tech demo. The new zones don't even have night time until you "liberate" them from the light. The new beast tribe is simply Lalafell. No new healer for 6 years. BLU is a limited job. Shadowbringers is literally REUSED ASSETS: THE EXPANSION.

I can't get myself to care about how lazy the races are, or the world is, or if things are rushed or reused
the only thing I can care about anymore is if the story is any good

user...

YoshiP said the reason we aren't getting a new healer is because according to himself, healer balancing is fucking retarded even though it's really not. WHM has healing and DPS, just not a whole lot of utility. Don't forget that they tried to balance healers in Stormblood too and you know how that went. We probably won't get a healer until the next expansion, so look forward to 8 years of no new healer job.

>Job balancing
What's the actual issue regarding balance? Is there ever going to be a way to 'fix' this?

Yeah thats what I mean though, job balancing before new jobs. That said, the same logic applies to tanks yet they also get Gunbreaker...

It's not a case of "this class is garbage" but rather "this class is tedious (MCH, NIN though thats due to it gimped if you dont live near the servers) or boring (WHM, DRG) and then you have things like DRG and BRD always needing to be paired together

>Get o7n on roulette, group fucking sucks. 2nd on dps is a 2.6k paladin
>Realise 1 wipe in I'm 35% of the raids damage
>Tanks aren't hitting buttons. Just let themselves die to TB
>OT doesn't bother to pick up ultros/dada/airforce.
>Healers are just spamming Helios and making besties with the AOES
>Finally run is going well I. E. Everyone is alive at 25% so I lb3 and burn boss
>4 people die to dodgable shit, burn the easy ass boss anyways
>Healer has the balls to tell me I should have saved LB for them so they didn't have to res
>Can't tell them all just how fucking bad they were or risk ban
Duty roulette gives me high blood pressure fucking Christ.

of course I did, Alisaie is life.

Of course I asked about my wife Alisaie first.

Attached: D1DuAkMUYAARE6d.jpg orig.jpg (1817x1865, 221K)

DRG and BRD don't NEED to be paired together, it's just optimal.

>Knows the group is utter shit
>Uses LB anyway
You're retarded like the rest of them.

It's because the heal/shield dynamic has no room for a 4th class with a unique style, my healing illiterate friend.

Boss is in burn phase you burn, literal dps loss to bring back those chucklefucks anyways outside of swift raise. Takes 5 fucking seconds and the smn/rdm could help them. Not my problem they developed bone tumors and couldn't press a button.

Yet somehow they managed to make 'doing damage' 9 different ways. Interesting.

Correct. You can disguise damage with rotations and resources.
What rotation does healing have?

will he be in 5.0 bros?

>If you're retarded it seems different
Stunning.

Attached: 495f4ea.png (900x900, 694K)

No, he'll need to stay behind in Eorzea while you and the scions are helping Graha fix the 1st shard. When you come back in 5.4, everyone in Eorzea will be dead

Make a healer with a rotation, then. There, we've made a 'unique' healer.

Yes...? Every game is about disguising a 30 second loop in enough ways to trick a player.
How do you further itirate in the current healing model? Keep in mind regens and a damage to healing conversion system would not function well enough in 14 to carry a class on it's own.

It's still a stupid decision when you're nearly done.

How does one act like a dwarf how are they usually in other shit like dwarf fortress

By doing the same shit you do with the damage classes, slap a paintjob on it and call it different. What you seem to be suggesting is it can't be done unless we're coming up with a whole new mechanic for how healing is done when that's already solidified - it's done with either increasing HP or increasing Shield (which is just temp-HP). Damage is damage and if they can 'trick' you into doing damage 9 different ways then why not healing. They already do so 3 different ways.

In general, Dwarves are prideful, boisterous creatures who usually deeply value crafts such as smithing and stonework. They can be greedy and secluded, too. But they tend to be honorable in most cases and always willing to help where they can.

Personally I think they could have jacked dark knights shtick and done something like "dance" to power up/change basic healing skill.
But if they actually do what they've said and break apart this awful heal or shield system it will be equally as good.

People just can't see past their outrage at not being given a new shinny right now.
Because ranged DPS players don't matter I guess.

Why would I ask about her specifically over the others?

>Because ranged DPS players don't matter I guess.
as someone who's been a mch main since heavensward I'd have to agree with you there

So is walking into the same orange shit we've had for 5 years. Holding healer lb3 at 25% on the off chance the group decides to have a stroke on normal sigma is retarded. Doubly so when the average party dps is like 1700 so they might as well be town guards for the good they're doing.

No more dark arts please, they already have to go out of their way to fix the mess that was 4.0 drk.

Is there something wrong with DRK right now? I'm currently leveling one and am 59

Ranged DPS got a new job last expansion with RDM.

If he showed up to help the war effort at least have it be plain that he's there.

Of course. I'm not finna raise a retard kobold baby by myself.

Estinien just goes where he is needed.

Why does Alphinaud look like more of a girl than Alisaie in this picture?

Ranged =!= Casters
But you know this, just combining them now so you have an argument.

>Because ranged DPS players don't matter I guess.

i've always thought of brd mch blm smn as ranged dps. actually strange seeing people not put them into the same category.

Because the look fits him better

Because the shitposter spams this edit where they switch the color of the hair ribbon

Where does this "shota bunny" retardation comes from when:
- Concept art for the Ivalician male Viera looks like the female as in tall, muscular and lean
- Lore indicates they look similar to the female Viera
- The young bunny boy concept art comes from Fate in Tokyo, an April's fools in which they reimaginated the viera as young Japanese like people, in which the girl viera also looks young and not like the actual Ivalician viera.

It's silly enough to differentiate DPS based on ranged and melee already, now you want to differentiate based on whether someone's using MP or TP? Fuck off.

The best Alphy art is naturally Alphy, though

Attached: 1526963482823.jpg (2000x1500, 329K)

>MP or TP
Not anymore....But it's more about the buffs/ debuffs anyway.

It comes from being a slave to one's own dick. A terrible fate.

they're merging MP and TP in shadowbringers so it makes even less sense that it was yoships excuse.

>Concept art for shota and loli bunnies exist

Combination of
>They're indistinguishable from females while young
And
>We demands revenge for the holocaust that is aura dimorphism

They're a bunch of loonies.

Nigger the game differentiates them with a little thing called ROLE SKILLS.
Maybe you heard of them?

I'm worried how many abilties we'll get in SHB because right now my hotbars are entirely full using baseline, +ctrl, and +shift

3 at best. Most will be skill IV/enhanced skill

Well, no race is playing a "young" anything of their race.

i wouldn't worry about it really since the games on console and they'll absolutely never give you enough skills that would make playing on pad too difficult. they'll merge/delete skills in shb guaranteed.

The game also differentiates them by saying they fit in the same 2 slots as all the other DPS jobs.

>MFW you will be able to us atherite crystals to teleport between the 1st and the shard without any inhale explanation.

The fucked thing is they already have in specific cases. Shit like the enochian button in pvp also being fire/blizzard 4 depending on phase since you can only cast them with enochian up in that phase anyways. It's great, condenses 3 hotbar slots into 1. Hopefully that's all they take though since outside of that pvp/skill pruning is aids.

that's part of the thing he sent ya.

Screencap my post then. Cause you are wrong, you will just be able to with no reasoning why.

Fact: Accepting Au Ra as a sexually dimorphic race with small women and big men but not wanting to accept Viera as a sexually dimorphic race with big women and small men is inherently sexist and bigoted.

Wow I need to lay off the daytime drinking.

Fact: caring about the differences between the sexes on physical appearance alone is sexist and bigoted.

You can't be sexist and bigoted against things that don't exist.

>YoshiP said the reason we aren't getting a new healer is because according to himself, healer balancing is fucking retarded even though it's really not.
Yeah, it is.
Having more healing than the other two doesn't mean shit when all three of them can heal through all content just fine.
They have lower dps than the other two.
They offer no utility.
AST is literally a superior WHM for having nearly all of its healing abilities, most of which are learned at a lower level and have shorter cooldown times, and that's before even talking about its higher personal dps on top of the fucking balance card or the fact that lilies are useless.

Attached: lalala.jpg (405x294, 39K)

Au ra fucking suck though.

I played though all of Stormblood as a WHM main and still don’t know what the Lily’s are for.

It's ok, nobody does

You and 99% of the kbm playerbase are binding keys the wrong way. If you have three hotbars and a skill on the same button in each, you don't assign them three unique keybinds like 1, ctrl1, and shift1.
What you wanna do is just have every hotbar share the same keybind, then use shift1/2/3 to toggle which hotbar is in focus but the actual "1" keybind is shared by three skills. Like how controllers only have one set of buttons but have can reuse them for multiple hotbars by switching.

i'd actually enjoy this on RDM

Things come to a head pretty fast after you do baram's mettle. You're almost done snoozing your way through azim steppe bro. Hang in there.

Sounds awful. You'll need two button presses to achieve what you could do with one otherwise.

>autoattacks
How about a Cleric Stance-esque skill that flips attributes around to nerf others and boost the fuck outta strength, and then give them something like Etrian Odyssey Medic's Caduceus?

Attached: 1510367492121.jpg (353x337, 91K)

Why are Blood Price and Blood Weapon separate buttons when you can't even use them at the same time. Why are they not just one button

Attached: 1542285062726.png (247x359, 154K)

>all 3 tanks tank the same and have almost functionally identical mitigation CDs
>the main difference between the three tanks is their damage rotations and what little utility they have
why are healers not designed like this? instead of arbitrarily designating each job a shield or regen healer, why not let them choose, like AST can or how tanks have a tank stance and a dps stance, and focus on differentiating them based on how they deal damage? clearly if they're still able to come up with new tanks and dps after all this time the problem with healers lies in the fact that they've limited themselves to a strict "shields or regens + 2 dots 1 gcd attack spell" formula.

Because they function entirely differently.

So, you hit shift+1 then 1 to do the attack? that's 3 key presses instead of the previous 2. I'm not seeing an increase in efficiency here

they should share the same hotbar slot and swap automatically like some of WAR's skills since they depend on what stance you have up and can't be used at the same time.

Not really. They're both
>get mp back
buttons and they could do something as simple as swapping out BP's placement on your hotbar with BW when you're not in Grit.
Inner Beast and Fell Cleave swap depending on Stance, same with Steel Cyclone and Decimate, so I don't see why BP and BW can't

>Yoshi gives us Gunbreaker which is just Paladin/Warrior/Dark Knight but with different skill effects
>This is fine
>Somehow he thinks every new Healer needs to have some groundbreaking new class mechanic instead of just having different skill effects

Yoshi is a fucking tard

It's not different unless there's 'muh rotation'. And since healers don't have a rotation, they need... something else... yeah.

You're hitting two buttons anyway because of all the shift/ctrl/alt+number double binds you have for skills. This way offloads the ctrl press to the downtime between gcds making it sequential instead of simultaneous, and if you bind things sensibly you're staying on the same hotbar for multiple gcd lengths of time.
And of course you use a quarter of the number of unique keybinds as result. At the end of the day I'm the one with no problems and you guys are the ones wanting the game dumbed down because of an inefficient setup.

>He blames Scholar of all fucking things for his teams inability to balance healers out

I'd rather they just remove the grit requirement

anyone got the fullcomic of this image

just leave and wait the 30 minutes

>tfw fucking love pet classes in MMO
>tfw naturally fucking love SMN and SCH in FFXIV
>tfw Yoshi blames SCH for EVERYTHING
>tfw SCH will probably be dumpstered in SHB

I'm prepared for the worst

>Constant regen that doesn't even need a GCD to keep active
>Massive oGCD heals, all globals go towards damage
>Only weakness is when co-healer dies and damage is more frequent than their CDs
I main SCH, and I can confidently say they're busted as fuck, even if most can't plan the 10 seconds ahead to make use of their talents.

Different CDs so you can use both back to back if necessary instead of having to choose.

So I was chatting with a friend about how they are adding a new tank and we had an interesting thought. So Yoshi P said they are adding a new tank so the main tank and off tanks are even and you don't end up with two fighting for the OT role right. Well assuming that gun tank is going to be a more damage focused tank to be a warrior counterpart won't people just naturally run these two for the highest combined damage?

You have multiple skills on one hotbar, so if you bind things sensibly you stay on the same one for a long time. So you're only hitting shift+1 once and then going on a long streak of ergonomic single button keybinds. Giving everything a unique bind means you're hitting 2 buttons literally every gcd you want something that isn't on hotbar 1.
Also changing hotbars with shift+number is off the gcd so it's trivial to weave that shift+1 between gcds where it doesn't get in the way of combat. Double binds on everything mean your hand is always tied up when you may have to jump, tab around or manipulate wasd in combat.

Why not just have them keep their own CDs even when you switch then.

I could see this working for a simpler class such as black mage where you have fewer skills, but not sure about something like machinist or bard.

that's exactly what will happen unless they split the tank role itself into OT and MT, which will never happen because of all the content that only has one tank.

Having to hit Shift to swap hotbars is slower than simply pressing CTRL+1, ALT+1, SHIFT+1 etc.

The only way to realistically balance tanks and healers is to make designated OT and OH roles, but that'd tank queues, so we're stuck in this shitty in-between where they can't do anything too crazy and every tank/healer plays more or less the same.

Why do we suddenly need offtanks and maintanks?

No really, what is Yoshi thinking here?

What queues would it tank? Hardly would affect anything as even "off tanks" could tank a simple dungeon.

>This is why we need to nerf the job into the ground so WHM can get a miniscule chance on being relevant
But how about, and pardon me for even implying usage of such a revolutionary idea, rework and buff WHM to the point it's actually a fun job to play?
AST started off in the gutter, absolutely worthless and now it's a mainstay in pretty much every party and even then they keep finding ways to make the job less clunky to play (Like the GCD change to make room for card usage). They did code themself into a corner with making AST a better WHM but that's on them, not SCH, nor will nerfing SCH address main WHM problem of the job being able to do things only every 2.5~s no matter what. 4.0 was the best example of why simply nerfing Scholar isn't a solution.

Attached: 1550445650246.png (409x386, 30K)

>probably be dumpstered
>after 6 years of being top of the game
You SMN/SCH faggots are almost as bad as WAR, I swear.

You can't compete with sch or ast by buffing whm. Healing output simply isn't needed when you have chad shields.

24 and normal 8 mans would probably die as close to nobody would queue as MT. Ironically dungeons and Savage/Ultimate, the most braindead and the most HIGH IQ content in the game, would be totally fine.

>What was SB launch SCH
Fuck you leatherman

What gimmick would you give WHM to make it as interesting as AST and SCH?

Yes, tank balance is literally about to get worse as there are only two options really. One is WAR continuing to be the best and there now being three tanks fighting for one spot, the other is GUN being WAR 2.0 and solidifying the other two tanks with no real purpose as the support they have isn't that crucial.

How about you just leave WHM alone and let it be the boring job for boring people? Just play SCH or AST if you want to have fun.

yeah bro, I hope they leave mch in its current state too. dead classes are a good thing!

>2 months of NOT being OP was enough to make SCH cry hard enough for daddy Yoshi to give them back their binky

This, it is insanely good. It's a job that pays for planning in advance in a game where raid fights are scripted.

Though I do worry about what is being said about the fairy being a "problem" I don't want to see SCH nerfed to uselessness because it's also the most fun healer to use in addition to being the best.

Attached: 1550298050980.png (613x648, 181K)

give WHM a shield stance. there's no reason SCH and AST can do both but WHM can't. and then we can finally get a new healer once they realize letting all healers do both allows them to focus new jobs on mechanics other than having shields or not.

Bet your ass I did

Attached: 69661468_p0.jpg (2000x2500, 1.76M)

I feel like I'm the only one who sees no issue with the current meta/balance in FFXIV. For starters there will always be a meta in anything, even motherfucking chess. It's inevitable no matter what you try to do. To add onto that it's also inevitable that there'll always be classes that are good and classes that are bad. WHM is on the bottom, but it isn't necessarily bad. It's just not good for speedruns or farms. That said, there's nothing wrong with WHM being bad. So finally what I'm really trying to say is fuck YoshiP for wanting everything to be "perfectly" balanced when it's simply not possible.

It's not the shields, it's the off globals.

The name of the game is "how few globals can we spend on healing"
And SCH/AST win that no contest.
Healing needs to change at the base level or two classes will always dominate.

mkay, so what skills do you remove to account for the shields?

Yeah? It's fine. There's only so many slots to fill in a raid anyway. If there's a 2% difference the one that has a 2% lead will be the meta and the other jobs will be 'cucked' even though it won't matter. Getting this autistic over pushing buttons on one job over the other is hardly useful, considering you can play ALL the jobs with absolutely no limitation aside from weekly tome drops... and all the healers share the same gear anyway.

>Shadowbringers launch
>Square Enix: So we told Yoshi that SCH is too OP and guess what he did? He nerfed Lustrate and Indomitability into the ground, the fucking madman actually did it

turn their regens into shields dummy.

problem is it isn't just a 2% difference. it's not a trivial level.

Nah I agree with you. Talk of balance is horse shit. Perfect balance has never, ever existed in an MMORPG in the existence of the genre and this is by far the one I've seen get it 'closest'. The funniest thing is that it's also made classes quite boring because you can't leave room for quirks or 'fun' when you want people to contribute roughly the same.

That's not the point. Whether there's a 20% difference or a 2% difference there will still be a meta. May as well leave one job 'cucked' since it'll be there anyway.

Thats just concept its not in the lore

That is actually the entire point. If the difference were a trivial amount then there wouldn't be as huge a problem with it.

As it happens i actually play bard and summoner and already did everything in the game playing like that. Well, obviously its possible because its literally how controller players interact with their hotbars, this just gives you the efficiency of a controller with the speed of a keyboard.

Tying up your hand with a 2-button keypress at the instant of skill activation is worse, especially if you need to jump or tab target at the same time. You have plenty of time between gcds to hit shift, even the 0.67s animation lock between ogcds is ages.

No because I only care about my bro thancred.

Of course there would. People love to bitch about non-issues. The funniest part of this is the 'solutions' people are suggesting are to make them play more like AST/SCH. Well if we're gonna do that then why don't you just play AST or SCH.

>what's it matter if one job is totally unplayable, it wouldn't be picked anyway so don't even bother fixing it

Ah yes, the Warcraft school of balance.
>We promised a rework this patch? Eh, fuck you.

If it can clear all of the content in the game, which it can, then it's not 'totally unplayable'. It's fine.

What job you playing for ShB?
Got any hopes for your current main job?

As mostly a BLM and healer player in the past I recently decided to level SAM as my first melee DPS job. Why does nearly everything about the job change at lv70? I'm fine with introducing more complexity when it was so simple before, but come on now. Before it was keeping up Higanbana, keeping up your combo buffs/debuff, and blowing accumulated Sen on Midare. Now I'm supposed to change my thinking into converting Sen into Kenki into DPS through Hagakure & Shinten while seemingly ignoring Midare, *and* suddenly at lv70 I now have positionals to consider as well. Why couldn't those have been introduced sooner, why do I have to relearn all of this at lv fucking 70? I'm not saying this is too hard for me or anything, I'm just saying it's stupid as hell that things suddenly work completely differently at max level and you're not taught the relevant skills through leveling.

Attached: 1506963728149.jpg (177x219, 68K)

I'm kinda scared of what he might do while we're gone. He's no longer hinged to the empire or anything.

Attached: ffxiv_03262019_161224_862.png (1920x1080, 1.49M)

Not sure if I should go through ShB as DRG which I've gone through all the main stories as, or as a DRK

>elezenos single handedly bringing the empire to its knees just so that he can have a rematch with you without anyone interfering.

I went WAR then DRK then SAM might do DRK again this time for the theme.

>and* suddenly at lv70 I now have positionals to consider as well
You had to worry about positionals ever since the Kenki gauge gets introduced, though

You've had the same positionals since level 52 when the kenki gauge is first introduced and you get the sen converter at 68, what the fuck are you talking about?

I agree, worse the positional show up earlier but the game forgets to make it obvious the skills got new stuff.

Imagine if it was this:
>as you're playing through ShB, you do semi-frequent roleplay instances
>you're play as Elezenos on his journey to reclaim his body/position of power in Garlemald
>he's on his own smaller journey, basically a secondary protagonist
>it all culminates in him finding a way to reach you so that you can have your rematch
>rematch starts from his perspective fighting against you

>win duty by standing still

I get the reasoning behind no new healer. What I don't get is why we still have fucking butt capes.

The positional is there as soon as you are able to use kenki. What you are bitching about is likely how kenki mastery II at 62 changes everything.

Obviously he's going to go back to try to take the throne and will throw a tantrum upon learning that we're not coming to stop him till 6.0.

Right, you get the trait at 62 and not 70, my bad. But it's still kinda bullshit.

There's nothing stopping them from making harder instances, like the Lakshmi one. The only reason that one was braindead easy was because it was followed by a harder instance right after.

Well, he died for sure. However, since he has the Echo through artifical infusion, his attachment to wanting to hunt down wol brought his soul back into a body.

>rematch begins
>everyone watching from the sidelines
>Zenos has never had to train for a fight before
>He's been on all these adventures
>Perfecting his sword arts
>Zenos swings at the WoL
>The single strike brings the WoL to their knees
>Lyse, Yugari, Alphinaud, Alisae and Tataru start ovulating
>Another swing makes the heavens quake
>Alisae gets on her knees and awkwardly sucks Zenos off
>Yugari has killed Hien for being a failure of a man, knowing this now that she's in His presence
>Tataru is already pregnant, having been fertilized by just his aura alone
>"My enemy... my friend..."
>As you hear him say this, the credits roll.

YOU'RE a tool.

Alphinaud > Alisae

I'd love to see him in our party, as a "fine, I'll help deal with this if it'll get to our fight faster" rival
and when you eventually do beat him in the rematch it looks like he's learned about cherishing life or some shit but NOPE he kills himself again

The thing stopping them is the retarded playerbase.
People complained about the solo duties in the Azim Steppe being too hard a couple of patches back and I saw people mentioning how they wiped to the Zenos fight in this patch.
Unfortunately the devs will continue to cater to the lowest denominator, so look forward to more 1 button solo duties in the future.

What's this?

The unfortunate truth. Keep in mind, these kinds of players are not only paying their subs, they're the ones that pay for the mogstation items. Losing a braindead casual is generally 10x more costly than losing a dedicated player.

Sure they do. temple knight set. halonic set, the duelist set from hard dungeons of the time. Valerian sets too

>yfw his body get's destroyed during the course of 6.0 and gets stuck on a giraffe body

>dies
>grieve a bit but not much, he too was a man who loved collecting swords but he also killed a bunch of people
>5.4, last cut scene is a Dwarf walking alone with a katana
>"My enemy... My friend... the hunt begins anew..."

I hated Zenos....but I loved so much when he called us "my friend" this patch. I'm expecting him to do a Vegeta, save our asses at the most crucial time because "nobody but me will kill him!".
