This but un-ironically. You have to methods of blocking them between the umbrella prosthetic and normal blocking and you can parry them as well

ape guy was so easy, just use fire cracker on phase 1 and on phase 2 just run until he jump at u with his sword then do 2 attacks

I see what you mean, but I don't see it as a bad thing that some bosses require different playstyles. Sure, it can be really frustrating trying to figure out how to respond to a boss, but it isn't necessarily bad design.

You can deflect certain attacks though. In his second phase you can deflect even more. I actually think it's smart to have a boss that requires you to dodge more moves to push players out of their comfort zone.

you can deflect everything except the fart and 2 grabs in phase 1 and everything except the scream in phase 2
