Except for a few people, everyone hated Sekiro (especially Yea Forums)

>Except for a few people, everyone hated Sekiro (especially Yea Forums)

>User reviews everywhere are at an average of 80 right now and still descending

I feel legit sad; Sekiro is one of the best games we've got in years and exactly what everyone asked for, but no one liked it.

i like it best fromsoft gameplaywise and i like the setting

True.
I feel like after Sekiro souls game are dead for me. Souls combat feels so shit in comparsion.

>no one liked it
okay buddy

nice falseflag

i like it, but it lacks the charm that made me binge on the souls games so hard

Sekiro is the Samurai trilogy of video games

Why are people asking for refunds

Almost done with the game , my absolute favorite, probably even in general

9/10 combat
10/10 difficulty
5/10 content

Do not regret purchase, would not play again

>>Except for a few people, everyone hated Sekiro (especially Yea Forums)

You can't gauge that accurately. Pissy whiners always make the most noise.

>everyone hated Sekiro

hahaha what

Its a great game but just too hard I cant bother finishing it 6/10 8/10 if it wouldnt be so punishing

Pretty much this. Game is just ok.

Is this the designated Nintendo cope thread?

>tales out of op's ass
lel, keep seething fag.

>lie
>lie
>lie
cope harder soulsbab

I am the only guy on this board who doesn't play all the faggot no-brain games Yea Forums likes. Stop trying to pretend the majority of people here actually have taste and are good enough at video games to be bored with Sekiro: Normies Die Twice.

Seriously you fags need to play some competitive games and stop autistically praising every jap shit or console game released.

but yea no one hates sekiro and Yea Forums is the biggest casual filter on the net

If they're going to make another souls game they should add deflection. Feels like you're actually sword fighting for once.

Cringe
Cringe
...Aaaand yup, complete cringe
*SNAP*
This one's going in the compilation

Think you got the wrong thread friend

I've never asked for this piece of shit with zero replayability, QTEs and cinematic moves.

Fast Dark Souls: Harder Faster edition

All the worst aspects of souls is in its difficulty. It's always just mashing parry/roll at the exact frame to chip away at humungous health bars while you die in 1 hit. I get that dying to a boss 10 times while sweating is someone's definition if fun but it looks like absolutely top tier cancer to me. All the fun things in souls like builds and customization is gone. Stealth is mediocre. Grappling is fun but arbitrarily restricted to preset points on the map. I bought every soulsbourne except this and I don't regret it.

Fucking casual

I love how angry soulsfags are with this game. The reality check did a number on them and their delusions.

Dude just play dark souls but smash your hand with a rubber mallet every time you die.

>damage sponge is ok when from does it

It's actually just worse dark souls. I don't know why you're treating it like it's not dark souls when it's just jump away instead of roll.

Nah it isn't. Jump only has I frames at the very start and plenty of enemies have vertical attacks that fuck you. And jumping isn't as mobile as a side dodge for repositioning purpose.
I can understand your frustration if you don't know how to play though.

>Hold O and go back
>Infinite stamina, run around wherever you want and recover
Stop it, you look like a clown.

>Spend two hours stuck on Genichiro
>Only to find that he has a Sephiroth-like third phase
Fuck
I guess I'll explore more of the world before trying again so I can get another attack point and at least one extra healing seed.

What does that have to do with jumping? What you described is literally every boss in every game ever.

>The Steam forums are nothing but people asking for refunds

Right

I 100% understand the team is wanting to branch out and try something new. I 100% understand this is in no way a spiritual successor to DS. However, if you want to make a totally new game that isn't tied to ypur other series.....DON'T LITERALLY MAKE ANOTHER DS GAME WITH MISSING KEY FEATURES!!!

This is litetally Nioh with all the RPG and loot elements ripped out. It feels EXACTLY like a Souls game while having none of the elements we expect. You can die in 3 hits...check, you have enemies that are "normal" and enemies that are "supernatural"...check, you have some massively disadvantageous cimbat system weighing against the player....check, you have the same graphics (albeit way prettier)...same weird camera angles for cutscenes...same weird voice acting, same movement system (not talking about the new jump and grappling mechanics), same "look, a long hallway, road, room, etc. with some generic adds to fight on my way to a miniboss/boss that will inevitably be massivly overpowered yet after dying 10+ times, i'll figure out his pattern and i'll be able to do it with a zweihander whist in my loincloth.....except that's impossible because you can't change his BLOODY BROWN BLAND COSTUME OR SWORD!"

I dont care if it isn't a Souls game......I'm super happy with the whole "no stamina" thing, actually, But give me armor/fashion elements and something other than that generic sword. Nion, at least, gave you stance changes. He's supposed to be a shinobi and, other than the totally fictional mech arm, at no point does he feel like a shinobi.

This "feels" like a Souls game but bland AF. If you want me to acknowledge your new game as not part of the Souls series and acknowledge you're doing something different.....dont give me a game that's half TenchuSouls, half Nioh and strip all the RPG and character customization from the game and say "totally new game...nothing like DS"

tl;dr but i can tell it's just you bitching about the gameplay, I'm also sure i saw >AF in there so kys my man

its fine on its own you just need to learn how its mechanics work, get good

Attached: 1543151420913.gif (350x434, 396K)

Notice the soulsbourne shitposter by his inability to think and instead deflects criticism as git gud.

>80% like the game
>except everyone but a few everyone hates it
I'm sure in your mind this makes sense somehow

fuck off retard

Fuck you Toshino Kyouko

>at no point does he feel like a shinobi
Did we play the same game?

Attached: 1546217252533.png (303x311, 178K)

I mean, it was so predictable.
Activision logo triggers NPCs.
Lack of online triggers NPCs.
Removal of RPG elements trigger autists.
The fact that it's literally not Dark Souls or Shieldless Dark Souls triggers people that think they had become skilled at videogames by exploiting the overly simple Dark Souls combat.
Some people didn't even WANT to like it before it came out because they were expecting the worst for some reason.

you're complaining about a game which has a very steep learning curve at the beginning, pretty much all of my friends and i went through an initial phase of "i dont think i like the gameplay of this game"

however once you get the mechanics down to a reliable level then the game becomes pretty damn fun; all the shit you're complaining about is either a non-issue that you're bringing up to make your post bigger or becomes benign once you're actually good at parrying, dodging and punishing in various ways

So DLC that fixes things like ToH when?

what the fuck is toh?

Cute determined user!

The old hunters.
Well not fix in the case of Sekiro, but add more

I know it's bait but, wrong thread bro

What are you talking about it's amazing, most people like it, and it's sitting at very positive reviews overall. Not like armchair critics matter anyways though. Fuck off for making a bait thread.

Initial positive scores due to Souls hype
Even if they were sincere, 80% is still a terrible score for such a game.

They literally can't fuck up DLC for this game unless they changed the combat

I see that autismos on Yea Forums are still screeching about it

It's dark souls with somewhat expanded combat. I mean shit it's not just a paint job like BB but you're still chugging estus and pressing dodge to not die. If you were the chosen whoever and this was DS4 it would be a pretty good sequel that expanded on some mechanics.

>9/10 combat

In your dreams. The combat is a massive R1 spam of the same fucking boring attack. I'm genuinely baffled at how utterly fucking useless the combat arts and prosthetic tools are except in select few cases once in a blue moon. Even more so when you consider how the tools are literally attacks and spells from the previous games. I killed the faggot on the horse, the bull, wandered around a bit in the castle, went into the memory, killed the shinobi hunter, went to sleep and haven't booted the game in days now because it's just forgetable and boring. The combat doesn't evolve in any meaningful way, exploration is pure fucking ass because it's totally so exciting finding yet another useless gimmicky trash like ceramic shards, the setting is bland and generic and feels like something I've seen a thousand times before and there isn't even any interesting lore, story or whatever. The game plays out the exact same and combat doesn't evolve in any meaningful way once you get the mikiri counter. This game is just flat.

The gameplay is very different from dark souls in my opinion but I guess everyone needs something to compare it to.

Sucks you didn't enjoy the game user, maybe you should go play something else rather than posting about how much you don't like it.

>everyone hated Sekiro

got a source?

Fuck off.

You seem upset, here have a cute girl

Attached: 1553608030374.png (450x600, 282K)

They traded difficulty for fun.
Not hard to understand.

>if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all!

Do you need help going back to facebook?

Sekiro is a fine cut diamond. It's perfect and polished in every way and is clearly FromSoft's mangum opus. It's superb from a technical and gameplay standpoint.

Because it has low replayability compared to souls.

Not really, it just seems sad that you'd find it fun to go online and make such a big post about something you dislike rather than something you like.

Game discussion and critical analysis on the video game board is pretty normal

I don't see much critical analysis there, just "wow all you do in this game is press r1 and it's easy and it's boring and i went to sleep"

This. I just beat the game an hour ago. Fighting isshin for four hours and finally beating him made me so sad. How the fuck am I meant to go back to soulsborne after this? Never had an adrenaline rush like this with souls. Only other times I can think of are ninja gaiden and dmc but I haven’t touched those in some time. Haven’t bothered with dmc v but I think sekiro has reignited my love for action games

Lol just attack twice then jump backward and repeat for the first two bars, final phase is easy

Looks trans

how new are you?

It's because you have shit taste and what you wanted sucks.

>Sekiro is one of the best games we've got in years
I disagree. It's not fun and the story is gay. Exploration is nearly pointless as all it ever yields is a small coin bag or sucking candy. And while I appreciate difficulty, there's an upper limit of what I'm willing to put up with. Something made for enjoyment should not be causing so much stress.

It's a niche game for a niche audience that got the wrong people hyped because of the studio's previous titles. It's my GOTY and will surely continue to enjoy it for years to come.

People bitch a lot about the difficulty but so far I haven't found it harder than the Soulsborne games or Nioh.
Granted, I've only explored the castle and I'm stuck on the Genichiro fight but still.

It's in the right thread. He's posting it because Bloodbourne is no longer relavent.
