it's a really good game, I played it on ps4 and its probably one of my favourites of all time now. I can't speak for the PC version though.
I'd say if you're interested but are doubting how well it will run wait for a sale

my guess would be pendulum effect, it's a good game but got praised as literally the best thing ever when it first came out, so people are bound to wind up being overly harsh on it based on its overratedness

It's weird as hell. I tried to play it near release and couldn't even get to the first boss because of all the crashing. I tried again a year later and never had a problem. No hardware or OS changes or anything.

They just complain that the game was recently updated for the GOTY edition but all they did was add the DLC to the base game and nothing else. The game has a few minor bugs like the resolution being fucked, but it can all be fixed with a mod, I think it was called FAR or something like that or just using whatever borderless fullscreen program. Some people also complained about performance issues but I think it's a rare case, you can always just refund it if that's the case. Still, pretty shitty of Squeenix to not let Platinum fix what would most likely just take a couple of weeks of polish and QA.

Bullshit, Plat just doesn’t fix things. Their contract is up, they’re not gonna do shit. Squeenix has patched shitloads of games, Plat has never once done so.

PC port runs fine, fullscreen bug is the only issue I ever had which was fixed by running the game in borderless. Still unacceptable it hasn't been fixed, but saying you need the FAR mod is silly, sounds like a bunch of people who play anime games and their toasters can't handle it.

Exactly, the contract didn't include post-launch support, only the DLC, it's not up to Plat. If Squeenix doesn't pay them to fix it, they simply can't do it.

Port is a fucking piece of shit, even with FAR. It's one of those cases where the game "works on my PC".

SE announced a GOTY edition months ago and people expected this version to fix most of the problems. They didn't fix shit, they just bundled the DLCs with the game and that's it.

I don't see why you shouldn't. I played it and it was perfectly fine, no slowdowns or any bugs that I was aware of. Those are probably just poorfags or something.
