They rebuilt the game countless times and had to cut just over half the levels they had planned. They had such little time by the end they recycled three of the ten levels they shipped with

Have you guys tried the first mission in Timesplitters 2 on hard difficulty. The game seem to be hard coded to take away half of your health when hit by the first bullet.
AI character's can fire a bullet the same frame they spot you and pretty much insta kill you if they get a headshot.
At one point a sniper spawns like two miles away up on a dam which also shoots you the same frame you enter their sight.
On top of that, the AI is a hivemind.
If a guard see you and you kill them before they can say a word, the other guards still know exactly where you are, even if you run to the other side of the map unnoticed. They WILL come look for you exactly where you're hiding.
It's really hard, the mission is fucking long and you get only one checkpoint.
Then there's the fact that you need to aim with a fucking controller.

Despite this I still like the game, but I can count the times I've beaten this on the fingers of one hand, and that's being generous.

That was the first level I beat on legendary when I was 12. It's the easiest level in the game because there are no elites.

Bullshit, half the non-flood levels are infinitely easier on legendary than The Library

I thought I was good at games, but I never have enough health to get past the boss of that level on hard.

Cringe and bluepilled

All you have to do is stick behind corners and pick them off as they come with a shotgun or AR. Use your pistol for carriers. There is also a part late in the level where you have to wait for the monitor to come back and bail you out for the second time. You can actually hide in a corner and the flood won't find you.

The Library is the easiest level in the entire series, unlike ANOTHER exclusively Flood level.
