Zeke and Morag just start at a higher level (and with more bonus exp) than the rest of the party. It's probably meant to reflect how they're more skilled drivers or something.
I was pretty overleveled and didn't have too much trouble with that fight so it's hard to offer useful advice, but make sure you're destroying the weather changers that Patroka puts up. They debuff the party.

I think it helps that the base game still had hints of an actual thing going on with Rex and Mythra, even if it pushed Pyra more. It meant that people were averse to just having Mythra being a third wheel, still hung up on a supposed old flame in Addam.
Then Torna happened and recontextualized Addam and Mythra's relationship, even more effective since it confirmed that Addam was already married and he didn't just settle down after the war to ensure his legacy.

Ouch, that sucks. It's a pretty fun game though, once you get to unlocking the ability to chain attacks together, combat becomes super fast and you search for the most efficient way to unleash blade combos. Combat goes from taking 10 minutes to kill big enemies, to 2 minutes at most and it just continues to get faster from there.
Only negative is random blades from core crystals and maybe some anime humor if you haven't been exposed to it a lot.

One thing if you do get it. When a tutorial pops up, READ IT. You can't find that information again anywhere in game. So when they explain things like Blade combos, elemental orbs, chain attacks. Make sure you understand them. This will completely impact your enjoyment of the game if you only half understand how all the systems fit together, since it's the difference between dealing 10k damage and 1 million damage.

Yes, but Adenine's skills are good. Knuckle Claw are made to be combat focused with a little healing on the side. Finch and Kassandra have their niches, even if their weapons overall suck shit. Finch can throw out multiple specials back to back if her skill procs.
Most importantly, all of them are fun characters and great to listen to. Dahlia has not only the worst weapon type in the Bit Ball, pretty much only really usable with Nia or Rex, but her skills are shit AND she's annoying both voice and personality wise. Most people would at least forgive one or more of those if she was actually good, like Crossete or Boreas.

Yeah, people kind of assume that she does, because cat. She only ever says that she hates the Cloud Sea because it doesn't feel like how water does. It wraps around you and stuff. The reason that she would never jump from the cliff into the cloud sea was actually because she was afraid of heights.
If you look at her swimming animations between normal and blade form. She goes between acting like a cat desperately trying to keep their head above water, to a more traditional swimming style. So she certainly has no actual problems with water.

Nope, she actually says in game that she's scared of heights. In fact, one of her requirements for unlocking skills is actually to fall from a long height and the quote for doing it is her being mad at Rex for pushing her off a cliff. Obviously the only way to survive is to jump into some water or the Cloud Sea.
Like it typically is for cats, they have no problem climbing up stuff, but then get scared about climbing down or having to jump.

Imagine if you had a big ME2 Suicide mission type thing where you have to assign merc squads on infinite-timer missions before you final end-game push and you travel to the other Titans on your way to the World Tree Peak, and you saw your Merc Squad fighting enemies and defending civilians while you fought as well
You could even have some flavor dialogue like if you use Wulfric to defend Fonsett and the townspeople call him a hero or using Perceval after his mission has people calling him “that one killer blade”
